Let me be a mob! - Chapter 11- My dream!
The central library of Bulixia was not that enormous if compared to those likes in the main cities of the kingdom. However, considering the importance of the ‘thing’ placed inside of it, the worth of the place rises exponentially.
Not everyone was aware of the fact that somewhere near the Ducal Kingdom Mengalf, there is a town where the legendary tome of spirituality is kept. Heck, even the residents of the town are also not aware that in the central library, something so invaluable is being preserved.
Some of the members of the central authority of the town who directly reports to the higher-ups of the kingdom know about the book’s existence.
Then why despite being so important, the book of Spirits was kept in such fundamentally weak hands? Because it was primarily brought by a higher elf in the past and he handed the book to the ancient governor of Bulixia as a token of gratitude. And since the book was cursed, no one dared to forcibly snatch it away from the town even if they wanted to. The person whom it was given never greed power so it was still rusting on the shelf.
This concludes why despite being three centuries ago, this book was left unattended in the library of a town that most people don’t even know the name of.
Then why the heck Jin was so firm about his decision to steal it, when he should be aware of the history of the book?
Simple. He knows how to break the curse or to say, how to temporarily dodge it.

“For fuck sake, you are finally here, Alben.”
As the other guard-in-chief spat, Alben walked inside the library with an annoyed look darkening his face. The one who spat those words was in charge of commanding the guards in absence of Alben for half a day. From here on Alben would have to take up the role until three in the noon.
“Quit whining like a bitch, Holder.”
As Alben rebutted he made his way toward the first floor of the library where the other guards were stationed. The ground level was left unattended since there was nothing worthy of being stolen and taking the generous and kind nature of the townspeople, with some exceptions like Alben, no one really faces many crimes in the town as well.
A vein popped on the tanned soldier named Holder as he furrowed his brows but since he was already too tired from his job, he saved the insult he had for Alebn to be spoken in a far greater opportunity.
“Don’t sleep on duty.”
With those words, Holder walked forward and after intentionally colliding his shoulder with Alben’s he heavily spoke and descended the stairs before walking out of the establishment.
Jin, who currently was in the guise of Alben, almost got knocked with that shoulder jab since it came from a mid-E rank warrior who seemed bulky enough to corner Jin under his aura. But he somehow stabilized himself and glared at Holder, particularly emphasizing that his staggering feet were a result of the abruptness of the situation.
The guards lined on the first floor saw the small exchange between the two and also sensed the awful mood Alben was dyed in after what Holder did. The sweat on their forehead signified what ominous ordeal might conclude because of Alben’s worsened mood.
For example, overtime?
But no one knew that the current Alben was not what they thought of him. Sure he wouldn’t be dismissing the guards before their working hour expires, but he wouldn’t be holding them for extra work as well. After all, his plan severely depends on their discharge.

‘Hmmm…this life is peaceful, to be honest…’
Currently, I was seated on a metal chair on the first floor of the central library as I gazed at the general populace going in and out of the library while chatting and enjoying their leisure time. There were people of varying ages and gender but the scene was harmonious nevertheless.
The librarian time to time coughed and glared at certain teenage kids who were gossiping and giggling in themselves. There were some elderly people as well who come to spend their retired life while reading books and writing their own in this peaceful settlement.
I may sound like an old man but this tranquility without the stress of anything in life was something I always sought. A small house, where I can live with my loving to-be-wife and start my own family. May be boring for many but my end goal in life has been always been like this.
My previous life was extremely chaotic and before I knew I was killed by the person whom I envisioned as my future bride. But this time, despite the world being far too dangerous to the point of incomparability, I have the strength and knowledge to gain the life I desire.
I am certain that I would sooner or later find someone I could love and once I settle things with the academy I would pursue becoming a small restaurant owner and live my life in my own way.
‘Yeah…that would be the best…’
A smile that was daring to curve my lips suddenly faded as I sensed someone approaching me from the right.
“C-Commander Alben sir…the soldiers were aski-”
“Tch.”
Hearing the stutter of one of the senior soldiers in the group, I clicked my tongue despite my mind blooming like a spring flower and my heart beginning to race.
“Quite punctual to leave yet always late at reporting eh?”
The soldier sweated profusely under his armor as he dared not to say anything. I knew he must have things to rebuke but my position was something that the soldier couldn’t underestimate and let loose.
This feeling of being superior…was not as exciting as I thought it would be. Maybe because I was borrowing someone’s face and the power associated with it, who knows?
Discarding my thoughts, I knitted my brows and in a hushed tone, directed the second phase of my plan into the fabrication of lies.
“Something seems suspicious of today’s audience in the library. You all go out once and then tell the next unit waiting at the entrance to have a thorough search of the library base floor.”
Hearing my words the soldier in front seemed to be taken aback as he side glanced toward the base floor. Understanding the severity of the matter he didn’t say anything and with a nod, spoke the words I wanted to hear.
“At once Sir Alben. I will relay the words to the unit and for the security major we would be guarding the outside perimeter.”
I nodded while holding the urge to smirk before I saw the soldier saluting and walking back to the others.
Soon everyone got the message and with their eyes roaming on the general public in suspicion they walked out of the library.
Soon, I got up from my chair and lightly stretched my body to prepare for the last phase of my plan.
‘Let’s get over this already…’
