Chapter 89: If Onee-Chan Imagines You Will Get Ryouya as the Prize for Hitting the Target, I’m Sure Onee-Chan Will Be Able to Hit the Target

After finishing taking photos in front of the bridge, the three of us continued to explore the Movie Village together. As we enjoyed the scenery and took photos at various spots, Reona suddenly stopped and pointed ahead.

“Hey, you two, look at that. It says ‘Shuriken Dojo.'”

“Wow, so they have attractions like that too. As expected of the Movie Village.”

“I want to try it.”

Since it looked fun, we decided that all of us would join in. However, it seemed to be a popular attraction, so we would probably have to wait our turn.

“Am I the only one who thinks this looks pretty difficult?”

“Don’t worry, I’m thinking the same thing.”

“Right? I mean, no one’s even hitting the target.”

Although the staff had given a lecture on how to throw before we started, very few people were actually able to hit the target with the shuriken. It seemed it wasn’t as easy as we had imagined. While Reona and I were having that conversation, Riona silently watched the people throwing shuriken. She was probably studying their throwing techniques. Riona always won by a landslide during competitions like this. Unlike Reona and me, she made sure to think carefully about strategies, which no doubt made her stronger than us at these things. 

After a little while, it was finally our turn. Each of us was handed five shuriken by the staff, and we first received a throwing lecture. Apparently, if you managed to hit the target even once out of five throws, you would win a prize.

“Shuriken is heavier than I expected.”

“Yeah, they’re heavier than I thought even though they’re this small. I guess it’s because they’re made of iron.”

“Controlling the force when throwing is definitely going to be important.”

As we each said something like that, we threw our first shuriken toward the target. Unfortunately, none of us managed to hit the target.

“Just as I expected, it doesn’t fly the way you think it would.”

“I ended up way off from where I was aiming too.”

While Reona and I were exchanging thoughts, Riona threw her second shuriken, and it hit dead center on the target. Combined with the fact that she was dressed like a kunoichi, she looked seriously cool.

“Whoa, Riona, that’s amazing!”

“As expected of Riona!”

“I got a good sense of the force needed with the first throw.”

Though Riona had her usual cool expression when Reona and I praised her, after spending so much time together, I could tell that she was genuinely happy with the praise. Feeling like we couldn’t lose either, Reona and I threw our second and third shots, but we still couldn’t hit the target. It really wasn’t that easy. 

Only a rare genius like Riona could perfectly figure it out with just one throw. Honestly, if Riona didn’t have her occasional clumsy side, she’d be a complete superhuman.

“Hey, Riona, do you have any tips?”

“If Onee-chan imagines you will get Ryouya as the prize for hitting the target, I’m sure Onee-chan will be able to hit the target.”

“Hey, hey! That tip is not helpful in the slightest!!”

Since Riona casually said something outrageous as advice, I couldn’t help but jump in with a retort. The idea of me being the prize made no sense whatsoever.

“I see! Yeah, if I thought of winning Ryouya-kun, maybe I’d be able to hit it. Thanks, I’ll give it a try!”

“If it’s you, Onee-chan, I’m sure you can hit it.”

“If she actually hits it with that mindset, I’m going to be seriously shocked.”

As Riona and I watched, Reona threw her fourth shot. She missed the dead center, but she still managed to hit the target.

“I did it! I hit the target!”

“See, I told you so.”

“Are you kidding me…?”

I honestly couldn’t feel anything but pure surprise since I hadn’t expected it to actually work. After that, we threw all five shuriken, and the final hit counts were four for Riona, two for Reona, and one for me. The prize was a stylish uchiwa fan with the Movie Village logo on it, and the prize didn’t change depending on how many times you hit the target.

“So, since we all hit the target, it’s fine to say that Ryouya-kun officially belongs to Riona and me from today, right?”

“You’re talking like it’s already decided I’d be the prize… But I’m definitely not okay with it! Besides, how did I become the prize in the first place?!”

“Because we agreed earlier that the prize for hitting the target would be Ryouya-kun.”

“That was just something Riona said on her own!”

Though honestly, with how they had me wear matching rings and everything, it already felt like I was halfway to being their property, but I didn’t say that out loud.

“Still, attractions are really fun, aren’t they?”

“Yeah. There’s apparently a lot more to check out too, so we should go see them while we’re here. Well, anything except the haunted house.”

“Ghosts and stuff are unscientific, so they don’t exist. I’m fine.”

“You say that, but it’s not convincing at all coming from the same Riona who got terrified last time.”

“By the way, this haunted house is apparently one of the scariest in Japan. Riona’s definitely not going to make it to the end. Even one of my friends went in thinking it’d be fine only to end up bawling.”

Riona, who had been putting on a brave front, completely fell silent after hearing Reona’s words. Since she had already screamed her head off at the haunted house at Okayama Milano Park, there was absolutely no way she could handle this one.

I could only see a future where Riona froze up and couldn’t move inside if we did go into the haunted house.
