Chapter 80: Operation Cooking Part 4
“T-tuna! I want tuna!” Liliah-chan immediately raised her hand with enthusiasm.
“Tuna, got it!”
I concentrated and placed the pre-cut tuna on my left palm.
Then I scooped up some sushi rice with my right hand and lightly pressed it onto the tuna.
After flipping it over and gently forming it, I placed the finished sushi on Lilia’s plate.
“Here you go, enjoy!”
Upon seeing the finished tuna sushi, Lilia’s eyes shone with excitement.
“This is it, it’s amazing! It’s much prettier than the one I had before, and you make them so quickly!”
She dipped the sushi in soy sauce and ate it with her hands, then made a happy expression and said, “Mmm~♡.”
“Unbelievably delicious! I may have had the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted!”
As I brewed tea for the two of them, I silently gave myself a high-five.
“I’m glad you like it. I’ll keep making whatever you like.”
Kashiwagi-san also looked impressed with me.
“You’re really good at this. I wouldn’t doubt it if you were a professional sushi chef. You must have practiced a lot.”
“Haha, it was tough, but fun. I just watched videos online and practiced. Thank you for letting me use the kitchen for practice, Kashiwagi-san.”
“Come to think of it, you’re good at imitating others. Your English pronunciation is almost native-level now too. Is it the same this time?”
“Huh!? Don’t all Japanese people know how to make sushi…?”
Lilia, who had been misunderstanding the whole time, was now eating the salmon sushi I had just made and tilted her head in confusion.
Kashiwagi-san bluntly told her the truth.
“Unfortunately, only professional chefs can make sushi, and there are no ninjas walking around with samurai swords in there, either.”
“What?! Then what about sorcerers? Are there no demons or monsters either?”
“You’ve been reading too much manga…”
I didn’t know what to say.
She believed it with the same enthusiasm as Santa Claus.
I handed her a piece of medium-fatty tuna sushi to try and change the topic before Kashiwagi-san shattered her dreams by saying “they don’t exist.”
By the way, Kashiwagi-san also enjoyed the yellowtail sushi I made.
“Umm! So delicious! Yamamoto, make it for me every day.”
“Ahaha, even if it’s delicious, eating sushi every day will lead to an unhealthy diet~”
While laughing at Kashiwagi-san’s joke, I breathed a sigh of relief as Kashiwagi-san, who had set the bar high, was satisfied with the sushi that I made.
Lilia seemed to be getting full by the time she had eaten about 10 pieces of sushi.
“What should I make next?”
“I’m good! Kashiwagi still has more dishes, so I need to leave some room.”
Meanwhile, sipping tea, Kashiwagi calmly replied.
“Make one piece of each kind for me.”
“Understood! By the way, Kashiwagi-san, you can surprisingly eat a lot. You’ve eaten about two more servings already, right…?”
“Don’t worry, it’s fine. I have a body type that doesn’t gain weight no matter how much I eat anyway.”
“Eh?! Y-You even have a high-spec body…?”
When I was surprised, Kashiwagi-san gave me a dumbfounded look.
“Are you the one to say that? I should be a little taller since I’m eating so much too. Honestly, I don’t know where my nutrients are going…”
Kashiwagi-san sighed in disappointment.
Lilia listened to the conversation and secretly glanced at Kashiwagi-san’s ample bosom.
I know what she wanted to say.
