Having finished eating the incredibly heartwarming and adorable omurice, I gazed at Yuki, who was now cleaning the dishes in the kitchen.

It’s a common thing for one’s gaze to unintentionally drift towards a person they have a crush on. And it’s considerably hard not to be conscious of it.

Normally, one would be dominated by simple and shallow thoughts like “she’s cute” or “she’s beautiful.” But when you have a crush, your brain melts and becomes dysfunctional, and you will not be able to think of anything else.

As I tried to affirm her question, she suddenly recalled something and took out a chocolate snack from her pocket.

Though I used to be fine with this, now, while having a crush on her, her words feel a bit distant and disappointing.

“Why did you say it again?”

Even though I had reassured her that I would not make that sound, I unintentionally spoke those words and took the chocolate bar from her and brought it toward her lips.

“No-no! I can eat it myself, you know?”

“Just try it once.”

“Come on, open up. It’s a command from your master.”

I don’t really want to say that, but for this moment, I decided to be a bit assertive.

“Ugh…”

Even the dominant Yuki seemed to give in to my strong words and obediently opened her mouth.

A little bit of melted chocolate stuck to her lips. But when she bites down on it, a satisfying crunch sound resonates.

I felt something different about the chocolate she fed me. It wasn’t just the sweetness of the chocolate, but something else… It wasn’t sweetness, maybe more like just embarrassment.

She must be asking about the taste. Normally, I wouldn’t give such a serious response, but this time, I really want to answer sincerely, so I asked her for another piece.

Then, just like she did, I brought the chocolate bar towards her lips again.

I continued feeding her, and Yuki despite being embarrassed accepted being fed while  making another satisfying crunching sound.

“It’s a bit sweet, but, um…”

“It must have been embarrassing, right?”

Yuki nodded in response, seeming to understand my intention.

She must have been quite embarrassed as I was in the same position not long ago.
