When I Brought The Lost Little Girl To Her House, The One Who Came Out Of The Front Door Was The Most Beautiful Girl In The Grade. - Chapter 8
“Phew~ We had so much fun~”
“I’m completely exhausted.”
“Souta… you were just floating on the water with a float, not really swimming, right?”
“Even with this, it still uses a fair bit of energy, you know?”
While sighing a little, I replied and got out of the sea.
“Well, shall we head somewhere that seems crowded?”
“You’re just tagging along, right?!”
“Got it, got it.”
Together with Mimura, we headed towards a place that seemed to have more people. As for Souta, he seemed tired and decided to lie down in the shade under a beach umbrella.
He asked me to buy some juice on the way back. I wanted to tell him to do it himself, but Souta was already asleep.
I thought I might charge him double the price later and even ask for some extra money as a reward.
It’s such a hassle. I’m already being dragged along to Mimura’s unwanted pick-up lines.
“Come to think of it, when you lift your hair, you look like a completely different handsome guy.”
“What’s with the sudden… it’s creepy.”
“No, seriously, you’d be so popular if you cut your hair.”
“I don’t really want to be popular.”
“I’m just worried about you…”
“… It’s none of your business.”
Mimura made an impression of crying, which irritated me, so I lightly tapped his arm.
As we walked a bit further, there were two good-looking girls ahead, so Mimura immediately went to try his pick-up lines.
However, after chatting with them briefly, Mimura quickly returned. Just by looking at his expression, I knew it didn’t go well.
“They both apparently came here with their boyfriends…”
“Don’t worry about it.”
I comforted him with a single phrase.
After that, Mimura continued to try and pick up girls, but all of his attempts ended in failure.
“Hey, you too, stop standing around and go try one yourself! I don’t want to be the only one feeling sad!”
“But, I’m not interested, and I already said I’m just following along.”
Mimura was trying to drag me into his failed pick-up attempts as well.
“That doesn’t matter anymore! You’re coming with me as my partner in crime!”
“Huh?”
“Look! Those two over there seem pretty high-level! Go for it!”
With that, Mimura pushed me towards the two girls who were approaching from the front.
“Hey, hey, Mimura!”
Upon hearing that, Mimura ran away in a different direction.
I’ll have to talk to him properly later.
“U-um, e-excuse me, ladies~? Y-you see, you both look really beautiful!”
“Huh…?”
Both the girls and I were perplexed. I didn’t want to do this either, but since we’ve come this far, I had to somehow get through it.
“H-how about some tea? It’s on me?”
“Well, your face is kinda my type, maybe…”
One of the women said that, and I felt a bit happy, but I wish she hadn’t said that and just accepted my apology.
“Uh, well, maybe we should stop this?”
Thankfully, the other woman said that, and I was relieved. Somehow, everything went smoothly… But for some reason, that woman was grinning and looking at me.
At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but there was something different about her aura that I didn’t notice before.
The woman I tried to pick up was Shirakawa.
“Well, yeah, you’re right. Sorry.”
“Sorry.”
“Ah, no, yeah, I’m sorry too.”
With that, I bid farewell to the woman I attempted to pick up.
