The S-Class Beautiful Sisters at My New School Somehow Got Super Attached to Me and Ended Up Becoming Yandere Without Me Even Realizing It - Chapter 51
Chapter 51
❤︎
“See ya, Tendou-kun. Today was super productive, huh?”
“Yeah, same here. We really got a lot done. Oh, by the way, how’s the novel doing rating-wise?”
“Oh crap, I totally forgot to check. Well, it’s only the first day, so it probably won’t blow up right away or anything. But it’s definitely heading in a good direction. Let’s keep at it, okay?”
I said goodbye to Tendou-kun a little ways before my house.
Then I headed home.
“I’m home… oh.”
“Welcome back, Mizuki. You’re pretty late, aren’t you?”
The second I opened the door, there was Yuzuki standing with her arms crossed.
“Yeah, well… work kept dragging on forever.”
“Where were you? Hiding out at that café again or what?”
“Does it matter where? Anyway, have you figured out where you’re taking him tomorrow? Just so you know—if it’s a date that’s bad for him, I’m gonna get mad.”
“Yeah, yeah, I get it. But I just wanna make sure he has fun. And… I want him to get to know what kind of person I really am.”
“As long as you don’t do anything weird, do whatever. Anyway, I’m gonna take a bath and crash. You should go to bed early too, Yuzuki.”
“Mm-hm. Mizuki… sorry.”
“…Why’re you apologizing?”
“Eh, no reason. Tomorrow’s gonna be fun.”
“Oh. Well… try not to get hated, okay?”
“Right. I’ll do my best.”
Yuzuki seemed to pick up on something, but she didn’t say anything more.
Tomorrow, Yuzuki is going on a date with Tendou-kun.
After that she’ll feel better, and he’ll remember again how much fun it is to be with me.
Everything will work out perfectly.
Everything will go exactly the way I planned.
I kept repeating that in my head over and over, telling myself it’s fine, while I took a shower.
When I got back to the living room, Yuzuki was already gone.
♤
“Sorry to keep you waiting. Let’s hurry up and go.”
Final day of the date plan.
Today I’m going out with Yuzuki-san, but for some reason she showed up in a tracksuit instead of her uniform.
“Uh… you’re going out like that?”
“What’s wrong with it? This is way easier to move in. Anyway, Tendou-kun, are you good at bowling?”
“Bowling? Nah, I’ve only done it a couple times.”
“That’s no good then. Bowling’s like, classic date stuff.”
“R-really?”
“Yup! Totally! We’re moving our bodies today, so let’s gooo!”
We headed to a kinda run-down bowling alley a bit farther out.
Inside it was super quiet—just the dry sound of a few old people’s balls knocking over pins every now and then.
“Wow, I didn’t even know this place existed.”
“Mizuki would never come here. She’s hopeless at anything athletic.”
“That’s kinda surprising. She seems like she can do anything.”
“Everyone needs at least one weak spot or it’s not fair. Okay, I’m gonna go check us in. You grab the shoes.”
I put money into the machine behind the counter that looked like a vending machine and got the rental shoes.
Pretty soon Yuzuki-san went, “Over here.”
She called me to the very last lane at the back.
“Nice, we got the end one. Can’t concentrate when people are around.”
“Do you come here a lot, Yuzuki-san?”
“Kinda. Oh, and look—I’ve got my own shoes.”
She showed them off proudly, grabbed a ball, and went, “Alright, I’m up first!”
She got into a really solid stance and threw with perfect form.
The ball went straight down the lane and—
“Yesss! Strike!”
“Whoa, you’re good!”
“Heh, pretty much. My high score’s over two hundred, y’know.”
“That’s not even a contest…”
“Haha, we don’t have to compete. It’s me against myself. Come on, your turn, go go!”
I had zero confidence and felt super embarrassed, but I picked up the ball anyway.
While feeling her eyes on me, I threw the heavy thing.
“…Aww, went right.”
“Hehe, still got work to do. But hey, your form’s actually pretty decent.”
“Really? Still, even back then, I could never get it to go straight down the middle.”
“That’s probably ’cause you’re staring too hard at the pins.”
“Huh? But you’re supposed to aim at the pins you wanna knock down, right?”
“Nope, that’s where you’re wrong. See those little triangle marks closer to you? Try aiming so the ball goes right between the center one and the one next to it. Right now there’s a pin smack in the middle still standing, so if you hit it right you can pick up the spare.”
When the ball came back through the return, she wiped it down with a towel, looking all smug.
“Huh, never thought to aim there. I’ll give it a shot.”
As I got ready to throw, Yuzuki-san stepped right up behind me and grabbed my shoulders.
“A little more to the left… yeah, throw from around there and it’ll be perfect.”
“O-okay.”
“Line it up nice and straight. Just like that.”
I did exactly what she said—kept my eyes on the mark up front, stepped forward, and let it go.
The ball rolled right through the spot I aimed for, slammed into the head pin, and took out every single one left.
“Whoa, spare! I did it, Yuzuki-san!”
“Wow, you’ve really got the knack. Alright, can’t let you beat me.”
Yuzuki-san stretched up real quick to psych herself up, then got super focused again and took her stance.
From behind, her serious figure staring straight ahead looked really sharp and cool.
Her signature ponytail swung as she took her approach—it was honestly kinda badass.
And then—
“Yesss! Another strike! Did you see that? Super clean, right?”
“…Uh, y-yeah. That was amazing.”
“Aww, were you spacing out? Hey, loser buys drinks.”
“Hey, you said we weren’t competing!”
“It’s fine, just a little one. Your turn, Tendou-kun.”
When she turned around, that huge bright smile on her face was honestly blinding.
I’d never seen this side of Yuzuki-san before, and I kinda got lost staring at her for a second.
Because I lost focus a bit, my second throw ended up drifting right again, just like before.
