The S-Class Beautiful Sisters at My New School Somehow Got Super Attached to Me and Ended Up Becoming Yandere Without Me Even Realizing It - Chapter 50
Chapter 50
♡
“…She’s way too late.”
Even though it was almost nine at night, Mizuki still hadn’t come home.
Sure, she’d gone out to karaoke with friends and come back around this time before, but today wasn’t like that.
She was supposed to be on a date with Tendou-kun.
Neither of them was answering their phones, and it was starting to feel seriously off.
“…Come to think of it, what did the manager mean by that earlier?”
I suddenly remembered what the café manager said when I stopped by in the evening.
That she couldn’t treat everyone equally.
Did that mean she was picking someone’s side?
Someone who wasn’t me.
…Mizuki’s side.
“She definitely knows something.”
I hurried to change, left the house,
and headed out alone into the dark night toward that café.
This area gets really dark.
Walking by myself was scary and made me anxious, but
staying put and doing nothing felt way scarier.
Thinking “if only I’d done something back then” later wouldn’t fix anything.
This whole date thing was for the clubroom, and ultimately for everyone, and tomorrow was supposed to be my turn, but
if Mizuki had no intention of handing it over to me…
If she planned to settle everything today…
That wasn’t what we agreed on.
I wanted to go on a date with Tendou-kun too.
I wanted him to get to know me better.
At least give me that chance.
“Haa… haa…”
When I got to the front of the shop, the sign lights were just going off, and the manager was taking down the chalkboard out front.
“U-um, Manager…”
“Oh, Yuzuki-chan? What’s up, coming here this late? Forget something?”
“Forget something… yeah, kinda. Manager, do you know where Mizuki and Tendou-kun are?”
While I caught my breath
and asked, her hands stopped moving.
“…Like I said earlier, I don’t know anything.”
“I don’t mind if you take Mizuki’s side since you two are close. But could you pass this on to her for me?”
“You see her every day, don’t you? So why don’t you—”
“Just listen, please. Tell her to give me a chance too. This is my chance to finally get over the trauma from that day. I don’t even care about the outcome—just don’t take that opportunity away from me.”
That’s what I wanted her to say.
I bowed my head, and after a short silence…
“…If I see her, I’ll tell her.”
The manager said that and went back inside the shop.
❤︎
“Whoa, it’s already this late? Mizuki-san, is it okay if we don’t head back soon?”
“Oh wow, you’re right. The shop downstairs is already closed. I’ll go tell the manager real quick. Wait here a sec.”
As I left the room, my heart was racing with excitement.
This was where the real part started.
I’d go downstairs, find out the manager had already gone home and locked up, and we’d end up trapped here together.
We’d have no choice but to stay the night, spending it together…
No choice.
Yeah, no choice at all—but we’d feel like it was fate and end up getting closer, bodies pressed together…
“Mizuki-chan.”
“Huh? Shiori-san? What’s up?”
Right as I stepped out, Shiori-san called out to me.
“Yuzuki-chan came by again just now.”
“Hmm, she’s really desperate, huh. But you told her we weren’t here, right?”
“Yeah. And she had a message. ‘Don’t take away my chance to get over the trauma from that day.’”
Trauma.
Hearing that word, I went completely speechless.
There was no doubt—Yuzuki’s distrust of guys came from what happened that day, and it was all my fault.
If I hadn’t said I liked such a stupid guy, Yuzuki wouldn’t be like this now. I knew that perfectly well.
That’s exactly why I was honestly happy when she started having special feelings for Tendou-kun.
But I didn’t wanna lose.
I was ready to do whatever it took.
“…That kid’s playing dirty.”
“You’ve always felt bad about it, huh, Mizuki-chan.”
“I could just tell myself it’s her own problem and let it go… that’d be easier. But I can’t help it—Yuzuki’s important to me too.”
“So should we call it a night here?”
“Yeah. Tomorrow’s her date with him. I won’t do anything until then. But next time won’t be the same. When that happens, Shiori-san, please lock us in for real.”
“Stop making it sound like I’m a kidnapper.”
“Hehe, sorry. But just give me a little more time. I’ll head home properly, promise.”
“Okay. And make sure you contact Yuzuki-chan too.”
“Will do. See ya.”
I went back to the room.
Tendou-kun was already getting ready to leave and looked over at me.
“Oh, that was quick. Everything okay with the manager?”
“Yeah. But she wants to close up soon, so we should hurry.”
“Right. Man, this place is seriously awesome. I could stay forever.”
“That was the plan, kinda…”
“Huh? What’d you say?”
“Nothing. I’m glad you had fun. Okay, shall we head out?”
Right now, I still could.
I could lock him in here with me.
Forget about Yuzuki and just sink into our own little world.
But… nah, I can’t.
It might be soft of me, but I gotta give Yuzuki her fair shot too.
I swallowed down the urge and started cleaning up.
When we left the room together, I handed him back his phone, then checked mine—there were a bunch of LINE messages from Yuzuki.
The very last one said:
‘Mizuki. I don’t wanna have regrets. So give me a chance.’
Seeing that, I could feel how serious she was.
So maybe I shouldn’t have shown her any mercy after all.
Even thinking that, I still thought Yuzuki was being sneaky.
No matter which one I pick, I’m gonna end up regretting it anyway.
In the end, I can’t give up Tendou-kun, and I can’t give up Yuzuki either.
Chewing on how weak that made me, I left through the back door with Tendou-kun.
