The S-Class Beautiful Sisters at My New School Somehow Got Super Attached to Me and Ended Up Becoming Yandere Without Me Even Realizing It - 2
Chapter 2
♡
“No way, right?”
Me and my big sister Mizuki are seriously identical twins.
Even we sometimes feel like we’re staring into a mirror when we face each other—we’re that alike.
So yeah, people have been mixing us up forever.
Teachers, and even our parents sometimes, would accidentally get us wrong all the time.
It wasn’t a big deal though. It’s just a classic twin thing, and we were totally used to it, so it never really bothered us.
But then, one summer day in our second year of middle school…
Mizuki got called out by this senior she secretly had a crush on.
From the vibe, we both knew it was probably a confession, so we were super excited and giggling together.
After school, Mizuki headed off to the meeting spot looking all happy and bubbly.
Right after I saw her off, that same senior happened to walk up behind me, looked at me, and went,
“Oh, Mizuki-chan. I was just heading there too. But since we ran into each other, this works, right? Wanna go out with me?”
No hesitation at all.
He totally thought I was Mizuki.
And right there, he confessed to me—the younger sister.
In that moment, something inside me just snapped.
So that’s it, huh. These guys only look at the surface.
They don’t care what’s inside at all.
They just like how we look.
“Sorry, no can do.”
I answered with a completely blank face.
Left the frozen senior standing there and ran straight to where Mizuki was.
When I finally caught up with her, the tears just came pouring out.
Mizuki comforted me while I was sobbing like crazy.
After I calmed down a bit, I told her what happened with the senior.
I was kinda scared she might get mad.
Or maybe even say we weren’t sisters anymore or something.
“I see… So that’s the kinda guy he was.”
She muttered it while staring off into the distance with cold eyes.
Then she smiled at me and said, “Guys are pretty much all like that, huh.”
From that day on, we started getting a little distrustful of guys.
Even if one of us got approached by a boy, we’d think… it’s probably all the same either way.
They’re only into our looks anyway.
Ever since then, whenever one of us got called out by a guy, the other one started tagging along without fail.
And around the same time,
Mizuki started keeping her hair down.
I started doing the ponytail.
We set up that rule and made sure everyone remembered it.
Once it stuck, nobody back home ever mixed us up again.
Hair down = Mizuki.
Ponytail = Yuzuki.
So even if we switched hairstyles and swapped places, nobody noticed.
Whenever we got confessed to, we’d always switch it up on purpose, but the guys never suspected a thing.
They’d confess their love to me with my hair down, thinking I was Mizuki.
They’d whisper sweet stuff to Mizuki in a ponytail, thinking she was me.
Every time we got those confessions, our hearts just got a little colder.
Even after starting high school, nothing really changed.
Eventually guys stopped asking us out almost completely, and we didn’t have to deal with getting hurt from being mistaken anymore.
“…He’s the transfer student who just came the other day… so he just got it wrong, right?”
That guy who called out to me at the convenience store.
Since transfers are pretty rare in high school, I kinda remembered his face.
He looked at me and called me Yuzuki.
Was that really just a coincidence…?
“I’m home~”
While I was lost in thought in the living room, Mizuki came back.
“Welcome back, Mizuki. You were kinda late—what happened? Don’t tell me it was that guy from earlier—”
“No no, definitely not. I just lost my key for a bit and went back to the classroom to grab it. By the way, your desk is way too messy, Yuzuki. Clean it up already.”
“Ehehe, sorry. Next time we switch, can you do it for me?”
“Ugh, such a lazy little sister.”
Mizuki gave me this exasperated smile. Unlike me, she’s super neat and organized.
I’m more the rough-around-the-edges type, and she’s way better at studying too.
On the flip side, I’m good at sports and she’s kinda clumsy with anything athletic.
Mizuki loves books and movies, while I prefer being outdoors.
I can’t stand green peppers but love tomatoes—Mizuki’s the total opposite.
If I started listing all the ways we’re different, it’d never end.
We might look exactly the same on the outside, but inside we’re really two completely different people.
“Seriously though, it was kinda freaky getting called out by a guy again after so long today.”
“What’d that basketball club guy say again?”
“Was it Takahashi-kun? ‘Mizuki, I love every single part of you~’ or whatever.”
“Eww, gross. I was like, ‘I’m not Mizuki, dude!’ and wanted to just punch him across the room.”
We were laughing about the confession from earlier when Mizuki suddenly remembered something.
“Oh yeah, I talked to that transfer student in your class today.”
“Huh, for real? What’d you talk about? Wait, don’t tell me—”
“No, he didn’t hit on me or anything. He just helped me find something I lost. Seems like a quiet guy.”
“Hmm, yeah true. Kinda plain-looking though. Did he think you were me because of the hair?”
“What’re you talking about? With this ponytail, there’s literally no way anyone in that classroom would think I’m Yuzuki.”
Mizuki said it while undoing her ponytail, laughing like she couldn’t believe it.
“R-right, yeah.”
So yeah, that convenience store thing earlier was just him mixing us up, huh.
Makes sense.
We’d never even talked before.
“What’s up, Yuzuki? Did something happen with that transfer student?”
“N-no, nothing! But uh… I guess I’ll thank him properly tomorrow or something.”
After that, even while I was taking a bath or eating dinner…
For some reason, that transfer student wouldn’t leave my head.
The way he looked when he called me Yuzuki at the convenience store keeps replaying in my mind.
Was that really just a simple mistake?
Or maybe…
