The adorable Villainess is mine - Chapter 1- Consequences
Kai has always been cautious of Lana’s powers.
It’s said that, what you don’t understand, you fear it. And Lana was just like that for him.
Her powers were quite unique and dangerous; not only for her opponents but for herself as well.
Space manipulation was a subject he barely understood. It didn’t follow the rules of physics since magic was involved. And she had once mentioned it as well, that sometimes she feared her powers. As if, she could be swallowed by the same darkness.
Kai had fought alongside her several times, and with time he started trusting her control over her skills.
But little did he believe that after crossing such a big hurdle as the Dragon King, he would meet his end at the hands of his friend.
….or so he believed.
….
“Huh…?” A soft gasp left his lips.
His mind was all over the place as he suddenly found himself sitting.
Where was he? What was this noise?
“Where…” He looked around…there were teenagers, shouting and cheering.
They were wearing similar uniforms and were currently focused towards their front.
Kai frowned…was he drugged? He slowly got up on his feet, trying to regain his calm.
Finally, he turned his head in the direction which was at the center of everyone’s attention.
And when he did…he froze.
It was an arena.
And in the arena, two people could be seen.
One aggressive and one in pain.
Flames wrapped around the girl’s blade as she continued to charge at the red haired girl—who was undoubtedly her opponent.
The redhead could barely stand. Her stomach was bleeding and she appeared to be in immense pain
Her face was bloodied and bruised, yet she held her sword tightly.
She was unwilling to give up.
The black-haired teenager was also injured but clearly had an upper hand in the battle.
However, it wasn’t the battle and the cheering that caused Kai’s eyes to widen
…it was because he knew those people.
They…
“Finish her!” Someone cried and on the cue, the black-haired teenager lunged toward the other girl.
Kai moved on instincts.
He jumped from the stands, which were over ten meters higher than the ground, and landed before the redhead, his back facing the girl.
The sword wielder got flustered by his sudden appearance, but she was already too close to pull away.
However, Kai didn’t flinch.
Without moving a finger, he shot a repulsive force that sent the raven-haired flying in different directions
“Wooooo…” Came the collective gasp from the audience seeing one of the strongest students getting knocked away so easily.
Kai didn’t check on how much he had injured her.
He turned towards the redhead.
She was shaking, her legs were trembling and her weapon was weakly being held by her fingers.
Kai’s heart shattered at the sight.
However, for now, he raised his hand and touched her head, “You did great.” He sent a calming pulse into her head and soon, she fainted.
Kai collected her in his arms. Her body felt incredibly delicate in his arms. He feared hurting her just by strongly holding her.
He still doesn’t have a single clue what he was doing or where he was.
Whether this was reality or his wishful dream.
Was he so engrossed by the game that he got this extremely realistic dream?
He didn’t know. But he didn’t care.
Even if this was not reality, he wanted to save her.
“Do you understand the consequences of your actions?” Came a heavy voice from his left.
Kai coldly glared at the man who was the referee of the match; making the man flinch.
“Did you think of the consequences when you allowed the battle to elevate to this point? Can’t you see the injury on her stomach?”
The referee was taken aback as he stuttered, “B-But she s-said she can-”
“You know…I passionately hate people like you who choose their emotions over rules. You should just quit.”
The man was rendered speechless.
Kai didn’t waste his time there.
He wanted to help the girl in his arms.
She was suffering.
His heart trembled every time she moaned in pain.
He rushed through the arena. He was being watched by many eyes and he could hear their thoughts loud and clear.
But at the moment, he knew where his priority lay.

No matter how many times I read based characters, I never get tired of reading about them. 😊 And yeah, that referee needed a good scolding. 😤
