The adorable Villainess is mine - Chapter 0- Unexpected
It was a quiet room.
Though large, only one person was inside.
Dark curtains hung by the sides, and a double bed sat neatly in place, the sheets still smooth and untouched—clearly, the person preferred sitting over lying down.
To the left stood a cupboard, and to the right, a small tea table.
Nothing fancy, and the room still felt quite empty.
A tall window stretched from floor to ceiling, offering a view of the world outside.
By the window, someone sat in a reclining chair, phone in hand.
A deep frown lined his face—a frown so sharp it made his handsome features look dark and dangerous.
The air around him was thick. If anyone else had been. In the room, they must have noticed by now that something was wrong with the man.
And it appears to be on cue, a dark portal appeared on the wall across the room, and a woman stepped through the portal.
She was a brown-haired beautiful woman, wearing a beautiful red gown. Her crimson eyes matched the dress and gave her a breathtaking appearance.
The man didn’t move, even though he had noticed the intruder.
The woman approached him and, without even taking a glance at the phone, she said, “So the strongest hunter who helped subjugate the Dragon King skipped the celebration to play a stupid game?”
The man clicked his tongue; startling the woman.
‘Did I overstep?’ She thought. While she wanted to pull him to the celebration, she didn’t want to anger him.
However, the man wasn’t irritated because of her.
He turned towards the woman before asking her, “Have you ever been in love?”
The woman wryly smiled, “Kai…I have two kids, you know-”
“Do you love your husband?” He asked, cutting her off.
The woman knew that the younger man wasn’t trying to flirt with her. He never flirts. A stoic man with a strict personality when it comes to women.
She exhaled a sigh before taking the bed.
With her legs crossed she answered, “Yes, I do. While we argue sometimes, I still love him.”
Kai turned towards her, his arms on his knees as he asked, “So if he does something which appears evil in your eyes but it’s not, will you just abandon him?”
She was now getting more confused as she asked, “Is it about the game?”
Kai groaned, “I can’t fucking understand…how…just how?”
Now she realized.
“It’s the villainess, no? Why are you so obsessed with her?” She was the one who offered him the game. He actually played a lot of action games so she suggested a story mode otome game. And now, he was practically inseparable from it.
The woman shook her head, “I tell you, no one had bothered trying so many routes to try and save her. I mean, what’s the appeal?”
Kai frowned, “Her loyalty isn’t enough? From the beginning to the end, she was loyal to that bastard.”
“Hey…Carter is my favorite character.” The woman protested.
Kai scoffed, “Lana…there is something wrong with your taste. How can you like someone who abandoned that one girl who was devoted to him?”
Lana argued, “But Lia is a good girl too.”
Kai scoffed, “Human fantasies…” He rolled his eyes, “…always want more than one person to fawn over them. And it makes my skin crawl.”
“…” Lana was speechless. Wasn’t he the one who played the game more than eleven times?
Fed up with his whining she said, “How about you stop playing it for today and join us?”
Kai shook his head, “I don’t like crowded places.”
Lana knew that’s why, “I have arranged a close gathering between just us few crew members. Now, don’t be a party spoiler and come with me.”
Kai exhaled a sigh before looking at his phone
On the screen, the fading figure of the villainess could be seen.
He turned off the screen and nodded, “Alright..but I won’t stay for long.”
Lana clapped in enthusiasm, “Yay! Let’s go!” She instantly opened a portal on the wall, earning a groan from the man,
“You know I don’t like to use your Bridge, right? Can’t we just run to the venue?”
Lana wryly smiled, “I know you are fast and have great stamina but reaching Amsterdam on foot would be a little…”
Kai realized where this small gathering was happening. Lana’s favorite party spot is in Amsterdam.
Naturally, he couldn’t deny the Bridge now.
Following her, he stepped inside and was met by familiar darkness.
Bridge is a Teleportation spell that connects two places; using portals as gateways.
They have to cross a short path to reach the other door which would take them to their destination
While walking casually, on the path Kai looked around the place
Small stars and pitch darkness.
He couldn’t help but ask, “What if I fall?”
“Then…you will land somewhere I won’t know. I have thrown a few things and people here and there before…they never came back.”
Kai’s brows elevated. Such an anomalous and dangerous spell and she uses it so casually.
*Tremble*
Kai frowned as he felt the space around him quivering.
He looked to his left…and froze, “Lana…the void is bending.”
The spellcaster also noticed the deterioration. Her brows drew closer as she said, “This has never happened before,” glancing at Kai, she added, “For now, let’s rush to the other side.”
Kai nodded and they both began to run
However, despite how much they sprinted the bridge seemed to be endlessly stretching.
Meanwhile, the space around them was stretching from different sides. As if,
“Shit! Someone is interfering with my spell!” Lana cried, even though she couldn’t believe something like this could happen.
Kai suddenly paused in his tracks and spread his arms.
Invisible energy shot from his body and instantly, all those movements paused.
“Kai?!” She called out.
“Go ahead, Lana..I am holding this.”
The lady wanted to protest but then suddenly the gate rushed towards her and she was thrown to the other side.
“Agh!” She rolled on the floor, feeling dizzy.
“Lana?!” Her husband called out but she ignored him and first checked the door.
“Ah…”
It was…
“…gone?”

So I guess the MC’s Original World is a little advance because of Portals and stuff
I have to say, it’s pretty refreshing to see after a gazillion normal world settings. What would be pretty cool is if the MC came from one fantasy world only to end up in another that was similar but also not similar. For example, the Pevensie children from Narnia entering Middle-Earth in LOTR.
nah. it’s lana’s power. they must be like superheroes or k-style hunters.
