Hmm. Now we just have to wait for Lady Eleanor’s arrival.

As we spent the day helping around, Lady Eleanor’s carriage arrived.

We’ll get our uniforms and such once we arrive there. There aren’t any uniform stores here.

“I’ve been well.”

I exchange a high-five with Lady Eleanor. She’s become even more girlish, or perhaps her chest has started to develop slightly.

Lady Eleanor is also at that age now.

We’re all going to Trieste High School together. Depending on the situation, we wanted to enroll in Eldania High School as part of turning Eldania into an educational city. However, they’re still in the process of building the school building, and the teachers, textbooks, and everything else aren’t ready yet.

Even though I’m called the lord, I’m just an interim lord with very little actual authority or taxes. We do collect taxes from the shops in Eldania, but we allocate that to the development of the city, so we haven’t been able to allocate funds to the school. Normally, we would receive taxes from the entire territory, including the surrounding towns, but I have to become a formal lord for that.

“Hehe, I want to taste Ed-kun’s cooking after so long.”

“Oh, really? Then I’ll help with dinner tonight.”

“I’m looking forward to it.”

“Yay!”

Since Minya and the others are also excited, I’ll do my best to cook. I thought about what to make, and I decided to make pork curry with plenty of wild boar meat we defeated earlier, topped with cheese.

Come to think of it, I haven’t taught them about curry and cheese yet. We’ve been raising dairy cows in Eldania from the beginning, so we have cheese. However, we mostly use it for pizza, so we haven’t had many other opportunities to use it.

“Thanks to Lady Raffalier-sama, let’s eat!”

It’s a curry with plenty of wild boar meat. There’s noticeably more meat than usual. The flavor of the meat, the spiciness of the curry, and the cheese, it all blends together perfectly.

Everyone praises the curry in the same way. It’s like I spread the curry culture here. Originally, they only sold mild spices, but I’m the one who added chili peppers to make it into a soup.

“Today, it’s curry rice, myau.”

“Yeah, it is.”

That’s right, we’ve started cultivating the rice that used to be cattle feed inside the city walls, so now we can have curry rice too. And thus, pork curry rice is finally born.

We’ve been looking for better quality rice varieties for years, but it’s been slow progress. The fact that its main use is as livestock feed makes it hard to prioritize taste and quality.

“It’s, it’s delicious.”

Even as I eat it myself, I think, “Yeah, it’s rice, it’s good rice.” Alright, I’ve had a delicious meal.

Tomorrow, we’ll leave Eldania and return to Trieste. Finally, my school life is about to begin.
