Chapter 51: “Isn’t the Comeuppance About to Begin?” ①

“W-Wait, what’s going on? What do you think you’re doing!?”

Seishiro forcefully pried off the woman who had suddenly embraced him. 

Natsuki and the others looked on in surprise, wide-eyed at the unexpected scene.

“I just received word from the higher-ups at the Institute! They informed me that Seishiro-sama has been recognized by Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, and that you’ve been entrusted with a divine sword!”

“…And what does that have to do with you hugging me?”

“Don’t act so distant! We… were once engaged, weren’t we?”

With her words, Natsuki and the others immediately understood the situation. 

This woman was none other than Seishiro’s former fiancée, the one who abandoned him to marry his younger brother.

Natsuki, sensing the moment for some well-deserved comeuppance, pulled out a fan from his item box labeled “Zama” and handed one to each of his companions.

“Don’t mess with me! You threw me aside to marry my brother, and I even heard you had a child!”

“I’m not joking! My son would be so happy to call you ‘father,’ Seishiro-sama!”

“…Are you out of your mind?”

Natsuki quietly collected the fans labeled “Zama” from everyone and stored them back in his item box.

He had been ready to laugh at the situation, but the mood wasn’t right for that, so he adjusted accordingly.

He glanced around as if to ask, “Isn’t someone going to stop this?” But everyone just passed the responsibility back and forth, silently saying, “You go handle it.” No one wanted to get involved, sensing that it would only lead to trouble. 

Meanwhile, the conversation between Seishiro and his ex-fiancée continued.

“Of course, I’m serious! I was always meant to be Seishiro-sama’s wife, so I’m just returning to where I belong!”

“Don’t be ridiculous! Akemi—after you threw me away, now you’re planning to abandon my brother too?!”

“That man means nothing to me.”

“…W-What?”

The woman—Akemi—had cheated on Seishiro with his younger brother and married him, but her words were shockingly heartless. 

Even Natsuki, who had never seriously thought about romance or marriage, was stunned by her cruelty.

(This lady is terrifying… Super terrifying. She’s smiling, but her eyes are desperate. It’s scary.)

“Enough of this! You—you’re the wife of the next head of the Kanna family, and more than that, you’re a mother! Don’t you have any shame with the way you’re acting!?”

“Yes, that’s right. I married into the Kanna family to be the wife of the next head! That man, who was removed from his position, is no longer my husband!”

“What!? What’s going on here?”

Seishiro and the others were shocked to hear that his younger brother had been removed as the next head of the family.

Sensing that things were getting out of hand, Senju stepped in between Seishiro and Akemi.

“Calm down. For now, we’re guests here. I’m not asking for tea, but at least invite us inside.”

“…Who exactly are you people?”

“Now you’re asking?”

Seeing Akemi look at them like they were strangers, Senju and Natsuki exchanged glances and decided to introduce themselves.

“My name is Natsuki Yura. Wife Red!”

“I’m Senju Nanamori. Concubine Black!”

“I’m Yusuke Sado. Slave Green!”

“I am Lucifer Koume! Mistress Blue!”

“I’m Ginko Aoyama! Mistress Silver!”

“…Ha?”

“Together, we’re Seishiro’s Harem Rangers—Zamaa Squadron! Bam!”
