Chapter 33: Way Too Unhealthy Full Medical Checkup

Three patients were in the lab.

It was Priere, Fioraia, and Rafal.

They stared at me in my white coat with eyes full of expectation.

Looks like Priere invited them.

I spread out some papers on the desk.

The goal of the checkup was to get different data from that.

First, I thought of the typical tests done in a full medical checkup.

A long thin tube-like tool sitting on the desk.

A stomach camera — upper digestive tract endoscopy — is mainly for early detection of stomach cancer or esophageal cancer.

You put a thin camera in through the mouth or nose and directly check the lining of the esophagus and stomach.

So yes, it does go inside, and since this is the first time using it on people, calling it a human experiment is fair. This is actually what an experiment should look like.

— Well, no guarantee it will actually let me see anything though.

The problem is I’m still in my twenties so I have never had a stomach camera done myself.

In my past life I heard stories from professors and my parents, so I made it based on those memories, but honestly I have no idea if it will work properly.

Priere opens her mouth obediently.

She is totally pumped up.

Rafal makes a sour face looking at the stomach camera.

All three look confused.

“I just made something that looks like a stomach camera. The real test goes like this.”

I say that and put my hand on Priere’s chin.

Then I pour magic power through my finger into her wide open mouth.

This is the stomach-camera-style test I came up with.

Space magic only works on non-living things.

I used that property.

The idea is if there’s something in the stomach that can’t be digested, I detect it and send it away with space magic.

What this test finds is whether there are magic power stones or not.

Magic power stones are a sickness where you store too much magic power and crystals form inside the body.

Normal stomach acid can’t dissolve them, so they stay as crystals and come out through the urinary tract. They say the pain is so bad you think you’re going to die.

It’s the fantasy version of kidney stones from my old world.

Kids rarely get this, but body type has a big effect, so it’s better to check.

That’s why I’m pouring in magic power, but…

“You’ve got a ton of stones in there.”

There were stones inside Priere. Not just one or two. A whole bunch.

“Probably from being drugged so much?”

Priere can’t talk with her mouth open, so Rafal explains instead.

Priere lets out a sweet moan.

I’m only pouring magic power into her mouth, but she’s teary-eyed with bright red cheeks. It’s weirdly seductive.

I’m trying to do this seriously, but it starts to feel like I’m doing something wrong.

I’m removing the stones, so every time it probably stimulates her. But with her reacting this much, it gets really awkward.

I mean, Rafal and Fioraia are giving me really strong side-eye.

Next up is Fioraia’s checkup.

I make her open her mouth the same way and slowly pour in magic power, but…

Priere declares it with a straight face.

She might have something wrong with her brain, so I’ll check her properly later.

Last is Rafal.

Priere covers her face with both hands and screams.

Priere goes behind Rafal and forcefully pulls her off.

Rafal resists for a second but then gives up and quickly lets go.

A string of saliva dangles down.

My heart pounds at the sight. Rafal looks up at me with slightly upturned eyes and says in a seductive voice,

“Thank you for the meal.”

“O-okay.”

“Master’s finger tasted great! I got some magic power too while I was at it.”

“Don’t do succubus stuff.”

“It’d be nice if it was just succubus level.”

Is a full medical checkup supposed to be this unhealthy?

I can only give a bitter smile while thinking that.
