Non-Human Girls Are Fighting Over Me ~ Do I Get to Refuse? “Nope!” “No Way!” “Not a Chance!” “Absolutely Not!” - Chapter 54 & 55
Chapter 54: Feeling Couple 4 vs. 4
The air around the round table creaked with tension.
Drako, his golden eyes glinting sharply, broke the silence first.
“—Time to settle our old score.”
His words to Levi were less a taunt, more a declaration of war.
Levi propped her elbow, chuckling lightly.
“Settle? You always bail with some ‘That’s enough for now’ excuse.”
“Hmph. That was strategic withdrawal.”
Drako lifted his chin, smirking triumphantly.
Levi sighed, lips curling.
“Fine. You’re my opponent.”
Aki spoke up smoothly.
“I’m pairing with Izolde. Come at us 2 vs. 2.”
“Hmm… that’s me, then.”
Mio pulled her chair, eyeing the enemy across the table with a cold gaze.
Towa shot up, flustered.
“Wait a sec!! Riri’s mom! I wanna take on the ‘True Ancestor.’ Cool with that?”
Levi blinked, surprised.
“Fine by me… Drako, you good?”
“No issue. I’ll crush this girl, then head for you.”
Drako snorted, waving dismissively.
(Izolde: Huh? Is this conversation going somewhere weird…?)
Aurelia spoke quietly.
“And my opponent?”
“Riri’s got you. You don’t seem like someone Mom needs to handle.”
Riri puffed her chest proudly.
“Then I’m with Mio-chan. Agrat’s perfect for us.”
(Izolde: What!? What’re you saying!? Why’s the strongest one coming for me!? No way!)
Aki raised her brows, declaring sharply.
“Hmph. I’ll make you pay for last time. For my sisters, too.”
“So I’m with Izolde, huh? Familiar foes, a bit tricky.”
Mio tossed a playful jab.
(Izolde: Ugh… fighting this pair? No way. Leviathan’s partner? Impossible…)
Meanwhile, Seraphina silently watched Kazuto.
She approached slowly, reaching for a scar on his forehead.
“Hmm…”
She pressed her forehead to his.
Her breath grazed him, her sweet hair’s scent wafting. Nose to nose, lips nearly touching—Kazuto’s heart raced.
“What’re you doing to our man!!”
Towa shouted, her chair screeching.
“He’s Riri’s husband!”
Riri matched her volume.
“A holy woman messing with someone’s man?”
Mio shot a piercing glare.
Seraphina giggled.
“Hehe, sorry. But… they’re almost fully merged. Samael’s probably hearing this, you know. Right?”
At her words, Kazuto squeezed his eyes shut, tilting his head.
The next voice wasn’t his—a low, unfamiliar tone.
“…Ugh… I’ll return soon. Very soon…”
Immediately, Kazuto collapsed, unconscious.
The table fell silent. The reality of his nearing awakening sank in, its gravity undeniable.
All but one—Aki.
Deep in her heart, she smiled. The time was near.
※
—After the meal.
Satan narrowed his eyes at Seraphina.
“That last bit, you forced Samael out, didn’t you?”
Seraphina shrugged, cool as ever.
“Did I? Well, it’s good they felt the urgency of protecting Samael.
Kazuto-kun’s side might be rattled now. …Pure coincidence, though.”
“Same old you.”
Satan gave a wry smile, but his eyes gleamed with amusement.
Chapter 55: Young Gun
Monday, after school.
The film club room was its usual lively chaos—but today, it felt slightly different.
“Ta-da! Feast your eyes on this!!”
Aki, in her uniform, triumphantly waved a piece of paper.
“…Here we go again,” Mio muttered, furrowing her brow.
“What’s that~?” Riri craned her neck.
Towa, silent, slurped a blood pack through a straw.
The paper’s bold title read—
Contract
The room fell dead silent.
“W-Wait a sec. What’s this…?” Mio paled.
Aki read aloud with gusto.
“As the reward for participating in the subjugation team, the following is agreed—
Agrat Bat Mahalat (henceforth ‘Party A’) and Demon King Satan (Party B1), Kingdom Church (Party B2) (henceforth ‘Party B’)…”
“Wait, hold up!? Why’re demons and the church side by side!?” Mio interjected.
“…Hmm, let’s see.
‘If Kazuto Ienari survives, Party B (B1, B2) grants Party A priority protection rights and guardianship rights.’
‘If Kazuto Ienari dies, Party B (B1, B2) grants Party A access to his remains and information on his next reincarnation, along with protection and guardianship rights in that life.’”
Mio shouted.
“What!? That’s straight-up wife treatment!”
“Well, I am the wife. Don’t really need this, though~”
Aki snorted, oozing smugness.
“No way! I’ve already got a demon contract!” Riri slammed the desk.
“Hehe. Yours is ‘if we marry,’(Meimokujo) right? Just a formality.
Mine’s practically a ‘common-law marriage.’(Jitsukon) Even formally, you’d need my approval~”
“Meimokujō? Jijitsukon? What’s that?”
Question marks danced over Riri’s head.
“This wouldn’t hold without Kazuto’s consent!” Mio fired back with logic.
“…That’s the thing, it does~ Hehe.”
Aki flipped the paper.
There—Kazuto Ienari’s signature.
“What!? No way!? Why’d you sign!?” Mio screamed.
“I got him to sign~ Heh.”
Aki grinned.
Creak creak creak—Mio and Riri turned their heads like horror movie specters.
Their gazes locked on Kazuto, who looked sheepish.
(Scary scary scary… I wanna run…)
“B-But… she just said to sign… I didn’t know what it meant…”
“You idiot!! What kind of thing did you think you just signed!?”
“Huh!? Why!? I don’t get it!!”
The room erupted into a battlefield.
Amid the chaos, Towa coolly sipped her blood pack.
“…Doesn’t matter, though. Hehe.
If push comes to shove, we can handle it physically.”
“…Oh, right,” Mio said.
“Yup, true,” Riri agreed.
“Huh!? You guys have zero social skills!?” Aki gaped.
In that moment—a flashback hit Aki, visceral, from a year ago.
Eisheth: “Hah, they’re offering those terms?”
Naamah: “Just kill ‘em.”
Eisheth: “Yup, let’s do it.”
Lilith: “I’m in~”
(Oh… right. They were always outlaws… These guys remind me of my sisters-in-law…)
Aki—burst out laughing, clutching her stomach.
“Hehe… You’re the worst and the best! So damn dumb! Hahaha!!”
“…I feel super insulted right now,” Towa said, narrowing her eyes.
“No, no, really the best. This is how it’s gotta be. This thing’s nothing!”
Tearing up, Aki ripped the contract to shreds.
“If you want something—take it by force. That’s us, right?”
“…Finally acting like yourself,” Towa shrugged.
“Suits you better,” Mio added.
“Yup, no doing stuff that’s not us,” Riri chimed.
“I’ve said this before, but… can you not have these talks without me?”
Kazuto’s quiet plea went unheard.
