Chapter 5: Mixed Feelings About My Childhood Friend’s Reaction
Even though a surprising kiss happened between Mii-chan and me, we went on to eat lunch like nothing had happened.
…That’s a lie. It definitely wasn’t like nothing happened. Because of that kiss, I couldn’t stop thinking about Mii-chan and couldn’t talk to her like I usually do.
Meanwhile, Mii-chan acted like everything was totally normal, and while I admired how amazing she was for that, at the same time, I felt a bit frustrated that I was the only one getting so flustered.
Well, I know I’m the weird one for still thinking about a kiss that happened by accident…
But isn’t it natural to be thinking about it?
Because that kiss wasn’t just about our lips touching—Mii-chan put her tongue into my mouth!
That was way too intense for someone like me who’s never had a kiss like that before.
Since it was an accident, Mii-chan pulled her tongue out quickly, but I can still clearly remember the feeling… No, stop. If I remember it again, my heart’s going to start racing…
“Hina? Are you okay?”
While I was thinking about that, Mii-chan asked me with a worried voice.
“Y-Yeah! I was just thinking about something!”
I quickly answered to keep her from worrying.
That was close. I almost made her worry again because I was thinking about her too much.
Anyway, I need to reflect on today. I ended up like this because I tried to tease Mii-chan…
Time passed, and since I needed to get ready for the next class, I left Mii-chan and went back to Class 1’s classroom.
As I sat in my seat, I let out a big sigh.
“What’s wrong, Hina? You’re sighing like that.”
My classmate Aoi-chan, who sat next to me, asked when she saw me.
“Ah, Aoi-chan. Um… I kinda messed up today…”
I honestly told her what happened during lunch. I figured it’d be okay if Aoi-chan knew, so I told her everything. She listened seriously, without looking surprised or grossed out.
“…An accident, huh…”
When I finished talking, Aoi-chan murmured that.
“Yeah… I just got carried away…”
I sighed again as I said that. It’s too late to regret it now, but I should at least reflect on it.
(Was that really an accident? From what she said and the previous story, it kind of feels like it was on purpose… But if it really was an accident, it’d be super rude to that Mizuki person to say that. And I can’t tell Hina that either…)
Aoi-chan was mumbling something, but the classroom was noisy, so I couldn’t catch what she said.
“Aoi-chan, what is it?”
“No, it’s nothing. But aren’t we cutting it close? The teacher’s probably coming soon.”
“Eh!? Ah! You’re right!”
When Aoi-chan said that, I looked at the clock and realized there were barely five minutes left before class started. I quickly pulled out my notebook and textbook.
(Well, when Hina was talking about getting kissed, she didn’t look like she hated it, so maybe I don’t need to worry too much.)
Wait, where’s the handout we need for class!? Where did I put it!?
While I was panicking, the teacher entered the classroom, and Aoi-chan watched me with a teasing grin on her face.
Okay. She’s not THAT dense but still dense. I pity Mii-chan a little 😂
Thanks for the chapter!
