Lonely Me And The Lonely Caring Goddess - Chapter 139 - The Man Named Yamazaki
I Reincarnated As A Trash Prince
Chapter 139 – The Man Named Yamazaki
“And… that’s all that happened.”
After speaking about what happened with Yuzuha, Yamazaki and me, I took a moment to take a deep breath.
Unlike the time I told this story with Sara-san, like how I was isolated, I omitted all the emotional parts of the story.
I figured it’ll just take too long if I tell them, including those.
As I was telling this story, by the way, Sara-san went closer and hugged my arm.
I wasn’t that worried since for the most part, everyone knew the gist of my story. But even so, I was glad that she was with me.
“And what’s the reason why you couldn’t stand up against Yuzuha? Was it because she was your childhood friend and couldn’t get yourself to hate her?”
Natsumi-san doubtingly asked.
“I don’t know. Now that I thought about it, I could go to the police and file a report, but deep inside, I know that I won’t do that unless Yuzuha crosses that certain point. I still wanted to believe in her, that she would return to normal.”
That’s why I couldn’t help but…
“I understand. By the way, Takanashi-kun, did you have feelings for that girl?”
“Wha?”
Bullseye. How can she be so sharp when it comes to others but doesn’t realize Hayato’s feelings for her?
“As I thought. And that’s probably the reason why you were holding yourself back?”
Am I?
But I know from a certain period, I know in myself that I can’t forgive Yuzuha.
“Ah, uhm, Kazunari-san…”
Sara-san called me out looking really anxious.
It’s probably because of the fact that she heard that I liked Yuzuha.
“You don’t need to be anxious. The one I like is you, Sara-san. Also, I’ve decided to crush Yuzuha, along with Yamazaki.”
I voiced my resolve to everyone what I had decided earlier and to reassure Sara-san.
“Destroy… them?”
Sara-san looked troubled with my declaration probably on how exaggerated I sounded.
Both Hayato-san and Natsumi-senpai were also looking at me with confused faces.
“Sorry about this. It might sound outrageous but even though I went far away and tried to forget, they are still coming at me like this. It was only me this time, but there’s a huge possibility that Hayato is being targeted by Yuzuha for some reason. And… if something were to happen to Sara-san I will…”
I don’t know if they understood it, but Hayato and Natsumi-senpai nodded at what I said. Sara-san was lost in thought about something and Todo-san was staring at me intently.
“They’re a bunch of persistent people, so we don’t have any choice but to settle this once and for all. Whether we take it up to the authorities or in public, we’ll be sure that they won’t come to us anymore.”
There’s no turning back from this. I’m not proud of it and even saying it now like some I’m some kind of protagonist feels really off, especially coming from me.
I-I’m scared… of what I will do. But I will not do a single thing that would be considered a crime, or something that will make Sara-san cry.
Sensing my internal conflict, Sara-san hugged me in a warm embrace.
“Kazunari-san, don’t force yourself to take that dangerous path. However, if those two continue to approach you then I think they will do bad things in the future.”
Sara-san spoke slowly and caressed my hair gently as she said those words.
I listened calmly and waited for Sara-san’s next words.
“And to be honest, I couldn’t forgive them from the very start. With all they’ve done to Kazunari-san all this time, I will never forgive them. I can never forgive them for driving Kazunari-san to the corner. That’s why…”
She released the warm hug that was enveloping me and distanced herself, putting herself in front of me. Sara-san looked straight at my face.
“I will follow what Kazunari-san wanted to do. Allowing those two to roam freely will only bring you distress. If that is so, eliminating them would solve those problems. If this is a sin I have to bear, I will gladly bear it with you.”
‘Please don’t be afraid, I am with you.”, is what Sara-san’s eyes were saying to me.
I won’t do anything that will put Sara-san in harm, nor will make her cry.
As I nodded at her words, Sara-san hugged me tightly once more.
“Ultimately, I can’t forgive those two for what they did to Kazunari-san. That’s why I wanted to get revenge on them.”
In a joking tone to lighten the mood, Sara-san uttered those words.
With that, Natsumi-senpai, Hayato and Todo-san looked a little relieved.
“Seriously! You guys flirt whenever you have the chance! But yeah! I can’t also forgive those two. It’s time for them to take their own medicine.”
“Yeah. And besides, even if Kazunari-san isn’t involved, I am. And more so the reason since there’s a high possibility that Yamazaki-san was involved in the Sagawa incident. I won’t stay put with this.”
“Also for my friend. If it’s destroying Yamazaki, I’m in!”
Everyone approved of my decision and I was a little happy about it.
However, hearing the cute Todo-san saying something like ‘destroy’ felt a little disturbing.
Come to think of it, Todo-san wanted to ask me about something.
“Everyone… Thank you. By the way Todo-san, I remembered that you have something to say to me?”
“Yes. But before that, I need to tell the story about my friend, Yoko Tachikawa. As much as possible, I don’t talk about my friends to other people, but I think this time is a necessity.”
Saying so, Todo-san’s expression grimmed as she started talking about her friend.
“I first came to know Yamazaki when Yoko told me that she got confessed to and got herself a boyfriend. Yamazaki was famous. At first, I often teased Yoko about how she got herself Yamazaki, a good looking guy. However, we were unaware at that time that Yamazaki had a few other women besides her.”
I hadn’t heard how many, but it’s not one or two, I’m sure. Given that they were talking about how they will surround him.
“Perhaps they were dating casually, and when he got bored, he moved to the others. In fact, Yuzuha was one of those girls.”
“What a jerk… How could he?”
Natsumi-senpai muttered in disgust.
There’s probably a lot of reasons. Maybe some of them went to different schools or forced to due to her mother’s power.
“It’s clear that Yamazaki always flaunted her money. Especially on dates. He also brings branded luxury items to school.”
“Yeah, I’m certain of that as I have seen them too.”
He was showing it off at the classroom at one time.
Looking back at it, I feel that’s always the case.
“Wow, truly a detestable guy.”
“Girls with low standards and gold diggers are probably fit for trash guys like him. He probably used that trick to surround himself with girls who fall for that, especially one outside the school.”
Sara-san was right.
A lot of girls fall victim to that kind.
“Yoko didn’t realize it. She was always picked up by a driver whenever they went on dates. And those date locations were quite far. But then she encountered Yuzuha Sasagawa…”
It’s probably because they went to the same school, that it was bound to happen. Was that what happened in class?
The rest was like what Takanashi-kun said. From Yoko’s perspective, it looked like they were only friends. And when they acted lovey-dovey in front of Yuzuha Sasagawa.
“At that time, Yuzuha was favored among the girls in class. People started making rumors about how pitiful she was. That’s why Yamazaki sided with Yuzuha, since people were more on her side.”
Yamazaki prioritized Yuzuha since she was from our class. And then labeled Yoko-san as the one who misunderstood things on her own and pushed the blame on her…
