Let me be a mob! - Chapter 7- End of the ordeal!
I had no idea when my body reacted but it must be the image of Fiona’s helpless figure which overlapped a memory I have gotten engraved deep down my memories, that had influenced my action and landed me in the room, and currently in front of the man called The Faceless.
However, I have no regret jumping into the plot since I knew this sudden alteration more or less happened because of me. And also, how much I want to live a life without any stress, I couldn’t leave a woman to get defiled when I have the strength to save her.
…or so I believe.
“I dunno who the fuck are you bi*ch, but if you don’t wanna get screwed for real…THEN LEAVE RIGHT NOW!”
The Faceless had a distorted expression since a moment ago he was in the process of ravishing the beauty and the next moment he was facing me who unexpectedly entered this place which most likely gets searched by the local officers after at least half an hour.
I have that much time to deal with this shit and get the mask off him since I can no longer follow the ‘perfect plan’. Once the authorities arrive and found me near Fiona they would undoubtedly take me for ‘interrogation’ and god knows where I would end up from there.
Standing in front of him I could not feel any mana around me and my magical essence was suppressed as well, which wasn’t surprising because I know about the artifact on the baldy’s right-hand finger.
But it was good since with mana I don’t know whether I would be able to defeat him. Until it’s true physical combat I have the chance to defeat him.
“So you not gonna talk, eh…”
As the older man growled he took out two daggers from his spatial storage and charged at Jin with a speed that was humanly impossible yet not enough to throw Jin off-guard.
Jin hurriedly took out staff from his storage as he sidestepped to dodge the incoming attack. The room was so small that with just mere movements, now the two men had their position reversed.
Standing with his back facing Fiona, Jin concluded he couldn’t swing his staff in such a cramped place until he wasn’t willing to hurt himself in the process so he just simply pressed the center of the wood on his knee and by pulling the two either end, he broke the long staff in two batons.
*CREAK*
The bald man stabilized himself in the meantime since he wasn’t sure what he was facing at the moment. Sure he expected the boy who appeared out of nowhere to be strong since he had a patrol guard uniform hanging in the display, but the Faceless had a feeling that this boy was weaker than him.
It was his work experience and instincts that the Faceless has followed and survived until now. And following such instincts at the moment as well, he knew he could fuck up this guy before jumping on the princess.
“You aren’t half bad eh?”
Jin didn’t reply and just readied himself for the battle while keeping in mind that he had to take things as silently as possible.
“See if you can take THIS!!”
As the older man roared he again launched on his toes and approached Jin at a furious pace with his left dagger held in a frontal grip pointed toward his opponent’s eye.
Jin narrowly tilted his upper body to evade the attack as his batons went cross near his torso where his opponent was intending to impale him. Without looking, Jin could tell the attack which the Faceless aggrieved was just a decoy to distract from the real intent.
*SLING*
The blade of the dagger got stuck between the two strong sticks and the tip of the weapon halted just inches before Jin’s naval.
The two looked dead into each other’s eyes for a moment before Jin twirled in the same direction where he tilted his upper body and left the dagger in his hold in the process to land his next attack.
The Faceless raised his arm upward from where the boy was trying to bash his head. The sound of wood striking bone echoed in the room, and due to the older one’s underestimation, he lost hold of his dagger which was struck by the baton.
“Khak!”
The baldy stepped backward from Jin and stood near the window which was opposite Fiona. The man had now unhidden killing intent dangerously permeating the room as he gritted his teeth and flicked his damaged wrist.
There was a small crunching sound but the man had a healing potion for such an occasion which he downed without a second thought.
Even Jin wanted he knew he couldn’t attack recklessly now since the previous time he was able to land a blow because of the other one’s carelessness.
This was getting serious now.
Jin again stood straight to face the ass*ole with his back facing the physically lifeless princess as his eyes stared nowhere but his opponent.
In response, the Faceless growled under his breath as he downed another potion under Jin’s gaze. This time Jin was no longer calm as he lashed at the man and struck his baton on top of his head intending to make him unconscious.
However…
*DHAK**
The baton was caught by bare hold of the man as a dangerous aura began to cover his demeanor which further rang an alarming bell in Jin’s subconscious. He knew he had to take distance that was why he let go of his left baton and tried to step back, however, the baldy suddenly moved his other hand, and with the dagger clutched rigidly in his grip, the older man punched Jin’s guts with a strong force.
“Haakkk!!”
Spit flew out Jin’s mouth as he was thrown to the wall beside Fiona. His eyes turned white for a moment but he clung to his sentience and knelt on the floor to stabilize his ragged breath.
‘He…just used a booster, right?’
Jin already knew the question he asked himself, as he clutched the portion where it was hurting the most. Thankfully the dagger didn’t leave any scratches but Jin knew, he couldn’t tolerate another blow before some internal injury incurs.
On the other side, the Faceless spit on the ground before he looked at his target and decided to completely destroy the person who dared to injure him after so long. His ego was hurt and that fact would make his prey’s life more miserable than death.
Holding the dagger in a downward reversed grip, the man launched at Jin and slashed his weapon to make a deep blemish on Jin’s face.
The speed was so drastic that Jin barely dodged the blade by bending his back with his feet implanted on the ground. As the dagger passed from the spot a whistling sound of air being slashed coarse audibly.
However, Jin wasn’t able to dodge the kick which the man followed up with.
**DHAK**
“Aghhh…”
Another groan left Jin’s lips as he heard something breaking inside him but not sure what. With his back now planted on the wall, he saw The Faceless walking up to him and taking a hold of Jin’s neck.
The baldy returned his weapon to storage as he uncovered Jin’s face and slapped hard enough to make the frames beside, tremble.
**SLAP**
“Hey…hey. Wake up and fight me! Were you worth to only this?”
**SLAP**
Another slap followed on Jin’s left cheek this time as the man with a grin continued his words.
“What happened to the gallant warrior saving the damsel, eh? Where is your motivation hero? Tell me. TELL ME?!”
**SLAP**
“You know…I especially hate people like you who try to save the day and all. My brother was also like this who stole my lover from me. You know what I did to him and that b*tch?”
As the man said he tightened his hold on Jin’s neck before menacingly replying to his own question.
“I fucking killed them both and hung them in the middle of the town! And you…”
With a growl, The Faceless gritted his teeth and spoke in a heavy tone with his aura turning deadly.
“…you fucking remind me of that brother….”
Jin who had his cheek swollen slowly lifted his lids to see the man who was just an inch to kill him. In some minutes, even the authorities might arrive since he could hear sirens blaring from some meters away.
Even in such a dire situation, a smile made way on Jin’s lips, completely baffling the older one. But before he could have said anything Jin spoke in a weak yet amused tone.
“…and after that, your face got fucked by that witch and you were named Faceless, eh?”
The baldy’s eyes widened in shock since this was a fact no one knew other than himself. He looked at Jin once again to gauge any information on how he could be aware of such an incident.
But for Jin, the brief bafflement of his enemy was enough to take out the perfume bottle he had in his ring and spray it all over the bas*ard’s widened eyes.
“AAAAAHHHHHHHHRGHHH!!”
A deadly scream resonated as the badly let go of Jin and staggered back while covering his eyes to get relief from this hellish sting as soon as possible.
But his scream came to a sudden halt when he felt something amiss. More like, he felt something cold had passed through his chest and slowly taken away his life.
Even at times of demise, The Faceless wasn’t even able to see what took his life as while flailing like a fish on the ground, he fell into the great abyss of death.
“Fueeeee….”
Jin plopped on the ground with his hand loosened around his sword which he used to dig out life from the shithead. The pool of blood slowly spread all around making Jin relieved that he finally ended this ordeal.
But as soon he heard some footsteps nearing, he knew he had to hurry before someone barge in and destroys all his effort.
He fixed the clothing on his face and felt a slight sting whenever his finger brushed on his reddened cheeks.
Turning the dead baldy around, Jin took away the two rings which were designated for mana suppression and spatial storage. Once he was done, he directly went to tear off the baldy’s face even though he felt slightly disgusted because of it.
Soon a blinding light spread its wing as the mask came off after a slight effort. Looking at the distorted real face of the Faceless, made Jin cringe a bit as he once again turned the dead man’s face to the ground so the princess doesn’t get traumatized by the appearance of the man who was about to ravage her.
All things done, Jin jumped on his feet and turned toward Fiona who had her eyes still open despite all the fatigue she must have felt.
Walking to the girl, he saw her visibly trembling a bit but he meant no harm so he just knelt beside her and whispered in a warm tone.
“Someone will come to take you. If possible, please don’t say about this…to anyone.”
Jin raised the mask in his hand and tried to pursue the girl if possible. But he knew, even if Fiona stayed silent, the Mambas would know about this unique artifact being stolen and they would probably search for Jin in the near future.
Sighing, he took out a plain shroud he had in his storage and draped it over Fiona who was half naked on the top.
Fiona blinked in surprise to see how considerate the man was even in such a condition, but as soon she got enough energy to utter her words, the man walked away.
Feeling helpless once again, Fiona slowly clutched the robe over her body as she muttered under her breath.
‘Just who was he…’
