I Got Fired as a Hero Today - Vol.3 Chapter 95: Hinako’s Joining
103 Number’s wounds had closed, but it was poisoned. It was said that the ancient healer’s skills couldn’t fully cure it.
Since it was outside her expertise, Cornella prepared an antidote.
She administered the antidote to 103 Number.
“It will take time to recover. Just let it rest here for a while.”
“Thank you, Cornella-san.”
“I heard about this child’s background from you… I couldn’t just kick her out anymore.”
Haa, tired and weary, Cornella headed towards the exit of the treatment room.
“I’ve also had to endure a lot from that wizard.”
After saying that, she left the room.
Arata stared at Cornella’s back, wondering what had happened.
Then he turned his face towards 103 Number.
The person inside was now breathing softly in sleep.
103 Number had been following and monitoring Arata’s every move due to insomnia and extreme tiredness.
She wouldn’t wake up for the time being.
Arata had no way of knowing this.
“Then, what should I do now…”
After returning to the dormitory and having breakfast with Suzu, he thought about stopping by the Adventurers’ Guild.
With that rough plan in mind, he left the treatment room and climbed the dark stairs.
Cornella was sleeping, wrapped in a blanket in a shabby rocking chair.
He prepared breakfast for Cornella and left the room.
When he stepped outside, he heard birds chirping.
“Is it already morning…”
He marked the wall outside Cornella’s dwelling with a teleportation mark.
Then, he teleported to his room.
After taking a shower in the dormitory and getting ready, he read a random book from the ones stored in the status screen until it was time.
“Oh, is it already time?”
Arata headed to the dining hall.
There, he found Suzu and another unexpected person waiting.
“Yokomine Hinako…”
“Good morning, Arata.”
Hinako smiled. Suzu also smiled and said, “Good morning.”
“Good morning. What on earth is going on? I’m a bit surprised… No, I don’t mean that in the sense of not inviting you or anything…”
Arata stammered.
“Hey, Arata.”
Hinako moved closer to Arata. Arata swallowed hard.
“Won’t you come with me?”
The scent of shampoo wafting from Hinako tickled Arata’s nostrils.
The shampoo from this other world was made only from natural ingredients and had a pleasant scent.
“Huh? Come with you… What do you mean by that…”
Arata was completely bewildered.
“You see. Both Suzu and I are feeling the limits of our current training. So, how about we give it a try just once?”
Hinako puts her hands together. The cuteness makes Arata instinctively step back.
“Then, okay.”
Despite his confusion, Arata accepted it.
“Really? Thank you!”
She suddenly grabbed Arata’s hand.
Arata thought, she’s friendly. It’s a way of closing the distance and a survival tactic typical of a talent. Some men might easily misunderstand and fall for her.
If he were an innocent high school student, he would definitely fall in love.
No, even now there’s a possibility of misunderstanding. In fact, he’s getting all flustered!
While he was thinking about such things, Suzu was looking at him with a cold gaze.
Clearing his throat to cover it up, Arata coughed.
For some reason, he was breaking out in a cold sweat.
What is this pressure?!
“Are you okay with going to the Adventurers’ Guild today?”
“Yeah. I’ve been there once. Do you always go there, Arata?”
“Not always, but fairly often.”
“Wow, Arata is working hard on defeating the Demon King in his own way. I respect that.”
Hinako showed her white teeth.
“Defeating the Demon King…”
Arata has no interest in defeating the Demon King. Joining up with Kotoko and setting out on a journey together is the height of foolishness. He didn’t even want to think about it.
However, he thought there was no need to say such things, so Arata kept his mouth shut.
“Anyway, let’s fill our stomachs first. Just wait a moment.”
He prepared breakfast.
“Huh? What’s this?”
Hinako’s eyes widened.
“It’s just an omelet and bread, right?”
“Why something like this?”
This time, it was Hinako who was puzzled.
“What’s going on? Didn’t you like it?”
“No, the opposite. Why is it a meal from the original world?”
“Well, I searched for similar ingredients and recreated it. Ah, maybe Hinako has only eaten meals from this world?”
“Yeah. The food from the other world isn’t bad either. But still, I can’t help but miss this kind of meal.”
This type of dish can be recreated if they have the skill, but it seems no one does.

The morning guild is lively. Adventurers can work at their own pace. However, since it’s a day job, the better-paying requests are first come, first served.
Therefore, adventurers gather in the morning when new requests are posted on the bulletin board.
They look at the guild’s bulletin board.
“How about this one?”
“Not bad, right?”
Hinako replied.
“I’ll leave it to Arata.”
Suzu has the same opinion. It’s a request to thin out the monsters in the Morgue Ruins, located north of the royal capital.
If left unchecked, the monsters will multiply before they know it.
If the monster population increases too much, they might come to the royal capital, which is troublesome.
That’s why such requests are always posted.
“Then, I’ll take this request, so wait around here for a bit.”
“Okay.”
Suzu replied. Since it was Hinako’s second time at the guild, she was looking around curiously.
Arata peeled the request off the notice board and headed to the reception.
There, Sarah was busy with her morning duties.
As he approached the counter, Izumi, who was also working, noticed him.
She patted Sarah on the shoulder and pointed at Arata.
“A-arata-san.”
Sarah, the receptionist, suddenly changed her expression. Sarah had been doing desk work as she hurriedly ran to the counter.
“Sarah-san, you seem busy.”
“In the morning, things get hectic because of all the preparations. It’s relatively calm during the day, though. Arata-san, what kind of request are you looking for today?”
“This one.”
Arata showed Sarah the request form he had taken from the bulletin board.
“The Morgue Ruins? I see. In that case, it would be better to use a carriage rather than going on foot.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes. Then I’ll make the arrangements here. Are you alone today? Or with Minfa-san?”
“No, neither. Two members of the hero party are here today.”
Arata turned to look at where Suzu and Hinako were.
“You’re being a bit persistent!”
Hinako and Suzu were arguing, surrounded by other adventurers.
