I Got Dumped by My Childhood Friend Fiancée Who I Didn’t Even Like, I Thought I Could Finally Have a Peaceful School Life… But Then I Got Targeted by SS-Class Beautiful Young Ladies - Chapter 10
Chapter 10: [The Day After Finding Out About the NTR] My Ex-Girlfriend Talked to Me
The day after my fiancée’s childhood friend got stolen from me and she publicly declared our clean break.
I woke up a full hour earlier than usual.
The reason was simple—I’d actually gone to bed super early. The second I got home, exhaustion just slammed into me, so I crashed into bed way before eight at night, like some super healthy elementary school kid’s bedtime.
As a result, me—who usually rushes out the door right at the last second for school—was walking to school with tons of time to spare.
I glanced at the busy cars zooming by and let out a quiet sigh into the slightly chilly autumn air.
“Haa… man, yesterday was way too much, huh…”
It started with my fiancée getting taken, then I got straight-up kidnapped by heiresses from the four biggest conglomerates, and somehow ended up forced to join this insane club called the Polishing Research Society.
That alone was enough to give anyone indigestion from how packed it was, but on top of all that, there was that last thing—
“—What even was up with Minase-senpai? The vibe in the car yesterday was seriously off, right?”
I wasn’t sure if “off” was the right word to sum it up, but I couldn’t think of anything better.
Up to a certain point we’d been having pretty normal conversation, I thought. But the moment I mentioned exchanging contacts with Tachibana, her whole attitude flipped like a switch.
She kept pushing me about what I thought of Tachibana, then suddenly started trying to strip my shirt off… And that last thing she said—“make it official”—I still had no clue what it was even referring to, but it stuck in my head weirdly.
…Nah, better stop thinking about it too hard.
Out of the three conglomerate heiresses, she was the one I’d already been gaming with and stuff, so we had some actual connection from before. But even so, the worlds we came from were clearly different.
If I let every little clash in values with someone like that stress me out, I’d never survive going forward. There’s nothing more wasteful than burning brainpower on stuff you can’t figure out anyway.
While I was lost in those thoughts, I realized I’d already reached the school gates of the super prestigious private academy—Horeiin Academy—which wasn’t that far from home.
I went through the entrance, changed shoes at the shoe lockers where those heiresses had nabbed me yesterday, and started walking down the hallway.
The calm, quiet morning atmosphere that’s only there early like this.
I passed by other students who were moving slow, kinda soaking it in, while heading toward the classroom where my desk was.
But after finally climbing those stupidly long stairs that only a fancy rich-kid school would have, the second the hallway leading to my classroom came into view—my feet, which had been hurrying till then, just stopped dead.
Because right in front of my classroom, the exact people I absolutely did not want to run into right now were hanging out and chatting.
Tachibana, Shiramine—and Minase-senpai. Obviously, the three heiresses from the four biggest conglomerates.
I was pretty sure one of the conditions for joining the club was “we don’t interact during normal school life.” But looks like that promise got tossed out the window already, huh.
There was no way this was a coincidence—all three Polishing Research Society members just happened to be together like this.
I steeled myself—if they tried talking to me, I’d straight-up ignore them—and took one heavy step forward.
But surprisingly, even though they noticed me coming closer and flicked their eyes my way for a second, none of the three actually said anything to me.
I kept my mouth shut and walked right past them.
When I reached for the classroom door, the three of them just kinda wandered off somewhere.
Maybe they came to check if I was gonna skip school or something? Their sense of duty was pointing in a really weird direction, but hey—if they weren’t gonna talk to me, I didn’t care.
Feeling relieved the promise was still kinda holding up, I opened the classroom door and went in.
It was still before morning homeroom, so everyone was just chatting in little groups or messing with their phones.
But—the second I sat down at my desk, pretty much every single pair of eyes in the class snapped straight toward me.
Some were just sneaking glances, some were whispering to their friends, others had these amused little smirks and were giggling. The reactions were all over the place.
Rumors spread fast as hell—looks like what happened yesterday was already common knowledge. Probably Ryuki and his little posse blabbed it all over to the class.
I let out a small, tired sigh and just ignored it, starting to get my stuff ready for class. This kind of attention was temporary—it’d fade the longer time went on.
I pulled out just the math textbook I needed for first period, spread my arms on the desk, and buried my face in them.
I closed my eyes and got into a fake-nap position even though I wasn’t sleepy—then suddenly my shoulder got lightly tapped.
I kinda knew who it was already, but I reluctantly lifted my head and turned.
“G-Good morning… Yoichi…”
Exactly who I figured—my ex-fiancée’s childhood friend who dumped me yesterday, Akari Tendo.
We almost never talked at school anyway, but she always made sure to say good morning every single day.
I never thought she’d actually talk to me the very next day after breaking off our engagement, though. I dropped my eyes back to the desk and answered.
“Morning, Tendo. Uh… you sure this is okay…? Talking to your ex when your current boyfriend’s around.”
Half-joking, half-sarcastic—like payback for interrupting my fake nap. Hopefully she’d get annoyed and never talk to me again.
“W-Who I talk to… is my own business, isn’t it…?”
But the reply I got from Akari was nothing like what I expected.
I thought she’d snap back angrily, but her voice carried this kinda lonely, empty feeling instead.
“…Hmm.”
That weird vibe bugged me a little, but there was no real reason to keep talking.
Plus, if we kept this up, some annoying person was probably gonna butt in—
“Oi, Yoichi.”
“…Haa. Too much hassle.”
Sure enough, exactly what I was afraid of happened.
Ryuki jumped right into the conversation without missing a beat. His face clearly showed irritation at my sigh as he grabbed my shoulder while I was still slumped on the desk and opened his mouth.
“What’re you doing still hanging around your ex like you’ve got regrets?”

PLEASE!! DON’T TURN INTO THOSE FUCKING THINGS!! 😭🙏🙏🙏
