Chapter 36: Everyone Becoming Aware of the Reality

The barrel of the 155mm turret I summoned was still aimed at Geese.

On the other side, Geese was looking dumbfoundedly at the hole on his pierced steel shield.

I chuckled softly before I narrowed my eyes, glaring at him. 

“But Geese-sama, aren’t you the one who’s ungrateful?”

“I fired a weaker magic bullet to defeat the Red Dragon on purpose. I held back because if I went all out, Geese-sama would surely die. No matter how hard your steel is, if I go all out, my magic bullet will definitely penetrate through it and kill you. Geese yelled, his saliva was dripping everywhere like a rabid dog as he ran to me.

He chanted and a magic circle much larger than before appeared. Countless numbers of sharp steels emerged from the magic circle, creating an unreal atmosphere in this place. The sight of countless sharp steel emerging from the magic circle was picturesque, like something out of an ethereal painting. 

“FLY AT MAXIMUM SPEED!!!!”

The countless numbers of steel rushed toward me like a swarm of hornet with its venomous sting bared at me.

“….Depleted Uranium Armor.”

 I dismissed the turret gun and summoned depleted uranium armor again. No matter how hard and sharp Geese’s steel was, it wouldn’t be able to penetrate this depleted uranium armor. After all, my armor was the result of the most advanced technology.

I could hear the crowd cheering from me amidst the rain of steel. I stayed inside my armor of uranium, waiting patiently.

The surroundings nobles were moved by Harry’s passionate speech. They all started to cheer for Geese loud enough for the angel in heaven to hear.

With his eyes lit up from a sudden burst of energy, Geese started chanting again.

The scattered steel gathered into one, forming one gigantic steel. The giant spear-shaped steel flew straight at me. 

I summoned my armor again.

A tremendous sound echoed in the arena as the metal clashed against each other. 

Geese laughed maniacally as he focused all of his attention to this one colossal steel.

I chanted quietly. 

“Bunker Buster.”

This was the same weapon I had used to defeat the Red Dragon. However, this one had a more destructive power compared to the previous one. 

A bunker buster was falling straight from 500 meters altitude. Its speed increased thanks to the help of gravity. 

While on the ground, Geese was still attacking me with his gigantic steel. The screeching sound of metal clashing against each other was uncomfortable to my ear but soon, everything would be over. 

“Geese-sama.”

“Hm?”

“Why don’t you try to look above?”

“Above? …!!!”

At first, Geese was still smirking, clearly looking down on me but upon grasping the meaning behind my words, he immediately stopped attacking and looked up. 

A massive object was falling from above. Thanks to the Red Dragon incident, Geese quickly recognized the power of the weapon I had summoned. 

“Steel!! Take all of my magic and become my shield!!”

As he said that, the big steel spear changed color to crimson red and transformed into a sturdy shield that hovered above Geese. 

“Hahahaha! Commoner! Know your place! Behold! This is my true power! Your weak magic bullet is nothi-“

My bunker buster pierced through the barrier stretched over the arena created by the magic stone and easily pierced through the crimson shield Geese had summoned, exploding just one meter away from Geese.

Several tens of seconds passed and when the dust began to settle, I could finally see the outline of Geese’s body.

The boy was lying on the ground with wounds covering all over his body. It seemed he had used too much magic power in the battle against me since his face had turned pale purple. His clothes were torn and blood was dripping from various part of his body, including his ears. 

He was in a worse condition compared to when I saved him from Red Dragon. If we left him be, Geese would be permanently disabled from the after effect of magic exhaustion. 

He was breathing faintly and his body seemed to be trembling slightly. It was clear to see that Geese wouldn’t be able to continue fighting and of course, the referee was quick to notice how grave the situation was.

However, the referee remained silent. Normally, when the participant became incapacitated, the match would be over. Becoming incapacitated was like getting KO’ed in boxing. The referee looked frustrated, glancing between me and Geese.

It was as if the referee refused to accept that a noble had lost toa  commoner. If the referee kept on refusing to end the match, I would have no other choice but to keep attacking Geese. I might really end up killing Geese if I did so. 

I moved my legs, which felt like lead. The nobles were stupefied, they just watched us without saying anything. 

And then… 

Luna-sama appeared, pointing the tip of her sword at the referee’s neck. 

“Are you making light the sacred honor of a match despite being a referee?”

“I believe you’re well aware of Chapter 2, Article 3 of the Central Magic School rules, which cover the regulations of a duel match in school?”
