Chapter 29: Conversation With the Two Princesses

“We’ve been waiting for you.”

Selene-sama, whose hair extended only to her shoulders, said. She had a composed manner of speaking and she appeared to be very graceful. 

She was dressed in a beautiful white gown adorned with various embroideries. She slightly lowered her waist as a greeting and looked at me with upturned eyes. 

Thanks to that, the two bulges on her chest swayed in motion. The rustling of her clothes sounded eerily loud to my ears. 

She was truly beautiful. She had a different beauty compared to Rina, who looked adorable and Elena-sama, who looked dignified. 

While I was in a trance from Selene-sama’s beauty, another person standing next to her began to speak.

“What are you spacing out for? Come in quickly.”

It was Rhea-sama. She was wearing a black dress with her long pink hair combed to the back. 

I was the one that had saved them the other day before but she didn’t seem to care about that at all. Compared to the second princess, Rhea-sama’s face was more refined and her body was more voluptuous. However, thanks to her graceful aura, her voluptuous body didn’t look lewd in any way. 

“Yes… My apologies.”

Overwhelmed by the two princessess’s aura, I immediately bowed my head and apologized before entering the room. 

After I saw the two of them were already seated on the luxurious sofa, I slowly took my seat on the opposite of them. We exchanged brief self-introductions before Rhea-sama opened her mouth to speak. 

“Thank you for saving us the other day.”

“No-No… I just happened to be there at the right time. It was pure luck.”

“You don’t need to try to hide anything from us. I’ve heard the story about you from Duke Keltz himself. Of course, I’ve heard about the Red Dragon incident as well.”

The way Rhea-sama glared at me while talking made me felt a bit uncomfortable. Wha-What is it? Did I do something wrong? I’m pretty sure I didn’t do anything wrong though…?

Confused, my face turned stiff. 

Seeing thihs, Selene-sama looked at me and chuckled before she hugged Rhea-sama’s body.

“Onee-sama, you are scaring Kanato-san. Relax! Relax, Onee-sama!”

“Wai-! Selene! What are you doing?! Kyaa-!”

Selene-sama’s hands crawled over Rhea-sama’s body. Selene-sama wasn’t targeting any specific area. She gently caressed Rhea-sama’s entire body all over, making Rhea-sama’s cheeks flushed in pink. Even though Rhea-sama protested, but she didn’t show any actual resistance. I could tell that Rhea-sama actually allowed Selene-sama to touch her body. 

“……..”

To think the two princesses would be doing something like this in front of me….

I was forced to hear Rhea-sama moaning under Selene-sama’s touch for a while before Selene-sama finally stopped touching her. The younger princess finally released the older princess from her torment. 

“Haa… Haa…. Selene! Don’t you think I will let you get away with this! Just you wait!”

Selene-sama smiled as she stared at Rhea-sama, who was busy trying to regain her breath. Then, Selene-sama turned her attention to me.

“Kanato-san, we have a favor to ask from you. We need your help.”

“Help…? What is it exactly?”

“Yes. Please, we need you to catch the person that tried to attack my Onee-sama.”

“Oh, the man named Alan…”

“Yes. Alan from Genesis.”

Selene-sama had a very meaningful look on her face. While Rhea-sama, who had finally regained her composure, opened her mouth to speak in a much gentler expression than before. 

“That organization is very dangerous. After they killed the eldest son of DUke Lennox, they went into hiding. We never saw them again so I never imagined they were actually planning something so nefarious behind our back…”

Rhea-sama sighed. She looked very dejected.

Duke Lennox… Lennox… If I’m not wrong, the last name of Luna-sama from the Central Magic School is also….

“Could it be… Luna-sama’s…?!”

My eyes widened in surprise and the two princesses nodded their heads with a grim expression on their faces. 

So Luna-sama is actually bearing such a painful past on her shoulder…

Now that I think about it, I think someone mentioned the eldest son of Duke Lennox at the party the other day. However, I couldn’t really catch what they were saying because of the danger. 

Seeing me feeling down, Rhea-sama then continued on.

“We’ve tried to expose the true identity of Genesis in the past but… All of our attempts ended up in failure. We don’t know who the real boss is or where their headquarters is.”

“I see…”

“However, we know one thing for sure. That man named Alan must be captured at all costs.”

“Why?”

“….”

Rhea-sama refused to answer my question so Selene-sama took her place. 

“He was using the power of undead.”

Selene-sama said coldly. 

“Undead…?”

“Yes. The power of the undead is a cursed power that eats away human souls. It’s a terrifying evil power that turns humans into inhuman existence. The axe that he used to target Onee-sama was imbued with the power of undead. Most probably… If Kanato-san wasn’t there to help us… Onee-sama would already been dead.”

“….I see. No wonder the blade was a bit sharper than usual.”

I muttered as I recalled my fight with Alan.

Almost immediately, the two princesses opened their mouths in shock. 

“Even for a Level 5, defending against an attack of that caliber is already difficult enough so how come you can act this nonchalant? I’m aware that you’re proficient in magic despite being a commoner, but still!”

“The way you’re talking… It’s as if Alan’s attack is a mere child play for you.”

“N-No..! I never saw this undead power or anything so… I don’t really understand what’s the big deal about it.”

The two of them stared at each other, seemingly in disbelief. 

Then, Rhea-sama opened her mouth to speak. She looked a bit frustrated.

“If everything goes smoothly, we promise we will reward you appropriately. Of course, we will also reward you for saving me the other day.”

“Reward?”

“Yes. With a title.”

“Ti-Title?!”

“Yes. My father—His Majesty the King, he’s very fond of you. He mentioned the possibility of bestowing you with a title. Of course, the nobles were clearly against it.”

Rhea-sama said as she stared sharply at me. However, I could sense a hint of anxiety mixed in her face.

Selene-sama added. 

Indeed. It is a very good offer. Jeff-sama and Albert-sama told me that no matter how proficient a commoner is at magic, there’s no way for them to become a noble in this kingdom. But soon enough, they straightened their backs again, pretending to be calm as they glared at me.
