Selene-sama asked, she looked clearly disappointed at my decision. She crossed her arms and legs, emphasizing her two large, bouncy breasts even more and revealing her ivory-white legs.

“Why, of course. In the last 100 years, there hasn’t been a single commoner granted the status of a noble in this kingdom. I’m very well aware that the Princess’s proposal is very appealing.”

“Then why do you refuse it?”

I returned their gaze and began speaking calmly.

The two of them stayed silent so I continued on.

I thought to myself when suddenly, Rhea-sama stood up. She climbed over the table separating us and pulled the necktie of my uniform to draw our face closer.

However, this turn of event was actually in my favor.

Rhea-sama grabbed the lapels of my shirt with both hands. However,  her grip was weak. Her hands were trembling even. 

Seeing her elder sister like this, Selene-sama had a dejected expression on her face as she opened her mouth to speak. 

“Onee-sama, that’s enough. Kanato-san is not someone who will follow our shallow thoughts.”

“Selene…”

“Unless we are honest with him, Kanato-san won’t understand.”

Upon hearing Selene-sama’s words, Rhea-sama released her grip on me and lowered her head. Seeing her big sister had no intention to speak, Selene-sama began speaking. 

“Kanato-san… In the first place, if there was someone better than me, we wouldn’t have approached you. Especially because you are connected with the Fibel family. After all, the royal family are being cautious of the Fibel family.”

“Selene!The-There’s no need to tell him that…”

Rhea-sama looked troubled but Selene-sama continued on, ignoring her elder sister.

In other words, the undead magic wasn’t their main concern. They were more worried about the safety of their lives. Indeed. I could feel it. Both Rhea-sama and Selene-sama seemed very afraid. Understandably so.

I couldn’t believe my ears. I never expected the future queen would propose such a bold promise. She didn’t seem to be lying either. Her eyes looked so clear without any hint of deception in it.

She didn’t try to beat around the bush. She was talking straight to the point. Her speech was simple and clear. I couldn’t help but to be captivated by her words. 

At first, I could feel that she was testing me. But now, Rhea-sama finally exuded an aura befitting of a queen. 

A woman of royal blood, willing to set aside her pride so she could make me, a commoner, be her ally. At this moment, Rhea-sama looked truly beautiful. 

“….I understand. I will help you.”

Upon hearing my words, the two of them smiled. It was not a forced smile, but an innocent smile. They looked like pure, young girls when they smiled. 

Selene-sama approached me and took my hand. 

“Thank you… I’m truly, truly grateful. Thank you very much.”

“No, I’m the one who should be thanking you.”

“Kanato-san.”

“Yes?”

I remained silent as Selene-sama looked at me with a bewitching smile on her smile.

“You are so different from a certain someone….”

She murmured. 

“I’m sorry, did you say something?”

“No. It’s nothing.”

Selene-sama chuckled as she tightened her grip on my hand. 

Stop it. You are Harry’s fiancée, right? Stop holding my hand….

Harry said, trying to suppress his anger as he glared at the man who still behaved like a lunatic. 

The lunatic man waved his hands in an exaggerated way, showing no hint of remorse.

“….You couldn’t even handle one cocky commoner trash. I guess Genesis is not all that, huh?”
