Chapter 17:Those Two’s Thoughts

After School, in One of the Special Building Rooms.

“Did you see it?? Harry’s face back in the gym??”

“The moment Elena-sama said she would join the party, he actually grimaced. He was clearly vexed. Furthermore, considering the malicious rumors I’ve heard about him behind the door, it was truly refreshing to see him like that.”

“Ahahaha! Mia! Today is a wonderful day indeed! And so, in order to celebrate this special day, would you like to dance with me-“

“I’ll pass.”

“Ah….”

While Jeff-sama and Mia-sama were playing around, Elena-sama suddenly shouted.

“Absolutely unacceptable! Why is everything in shambles?! The floors! The walls! The materials!! Everything is falling apart!!This must be because of the staff’s prejudiced bias against Kanato and Rina! Because they’re looking down on you, they dare to give us this room!”

“We-Well, isn’t it fine, Elena-sama? I don’t think this room is that bad.”

“It is NOT fine! This is an important place that will serve as our base for our activity as a party in the future! My papa has donated the most money to this school! I will contact them immediately and have those staff member fired-“

“You don’t have to do that, Elena-sama!”

Trying to calm Elena-sama down, I quickly held her shoulders. 

“-!!”

Elena-sama flinched. She turned her beautiful blue eyes to me. But then, she suddenly blushed and averted her gaze from me. 

“…Do you really think it’s okay for us to stay in such a rundown place like this?”

After school ended, we immediately registered our party. However, the moment the reception staff looked at me and Rina, he chuckled. He then assigned us this large but flimsy meeting room tucked away in the corner where no one could see us. 

According to Elena-sama, the other parties were given a nice room in the gorgeous, newly built building.

This building we were in was constructed when the school was founded. This building was mainly used as a storage room. Therefore, the floor of this meeting room had scratches here and there. The large round table was partly rotten because of the moisture and I could even see mold growing on the blackboard. 

I released Elena-sama’s shoulder. I was about to answer her when Rina interjected. 

“I love it here! There are no disgusting nobles around and we can enjoy ourselves to our heart’s content without anyone meddling in! Besides, all we need to do is clean the room and this place will be great for us!”

Rina said, her expression looked very bright. 

Her words surprised the three of us. The three nobles looked at each other before they nodded in agreement. 

“I see… That’s an interesting perspective indeed…”

Elena-sama replied with a smile on her face. 

“Rina-san, let’s clean together.”

Mia-sama said with a warm smile on her face, causing Rina to smile too in return. 

But then, Mia-sama’s expression gradually turned dark. 

“Cleaning is important but before that, there’s one very important thing that we need to do.”

Mia-sama said as she moved her index finger gracefully. As she did that, everyone except Jeff-sama squinted while holding their head, seemingly at their wits’ end. 

“”Changing our party name.””

They all said simultaneously, to which Jeff-sama tilted his head to the side. 

“Huh?  Why? Do you guys think the name ‘Ultra Super Legend’ that I came up with is not good?”

“”It’s not.””

“……”

Having his party name rejected by all of us, Jeff-sama looked dejected. 

As of now, the documents for registering the party had already been submitted, but there was this strange tradition where people would decide the name of the party a week later. Apparently this tradition was formed because people would get into major fights over the party’s name. So, while the members of our party had been registered, but we hadn’t registered the name of our party yet. We only had a temporary party name that Jeff-sama had graciously filled in (Ultra Super Legend). 

“Let’s think of a new name for our party for now. Names are important after all. If anyone has a good idea, please don’t hesitate to speak up.”

Elena-sama said and almost immediately, all three of them, excluding me, raised their hands. 

An hour passed while we were discussing our party name. 

“In the end, no good ideas came up… Jeff-sama, I can’t write anything anymore…”

“Which is why… We should go with my Ultra Super Legend… I think that name is great though….”

In a rundown meeting room that reminded me of my own home, we all sighed. We were exhausted from our discussion. The moldy blackboard was filled with a list of possible names for our party. 

“Come to think of it, Kanato hasn’t said a word yet. Why, Kanato? Does that mean, you agree with my Ultra Su-“

“That’s not it.”

“…….Ah, Kanato is a cold guy after all~ But, that’s what makes you so charming~ Ahahaha~”

Jeff-sama suddenly started chuckling by himself. 

“I’d like to hear Kanato-san’s idea too.”

After staring at Jeff-sama with a look that seemed to say,”the heck is with this guy?”, Mia-sama asked me that. 

I… Albeit I was feeling a bit embarrassed, I gingerly opened my mouth. 

“How about… Five Star?”

“”Five Star?””

“Well…. We have two commoners, someone from a baron family, someone from a count family and a duke. However, each of us has our own strength and individuality that makes us unique so… I think ‘Five Star’ can represent that part of us but… Well, I think that name doesn’t match the values of this world so… It’s okay to reject it.”

It was really embarrassing after all. 

Five Star. Basically it means everyone is equal. The three of them are not like any other nobles but still….

I wonder if they will look at me with disdain too… Just like those nobles earlier. 

Suddenly, I was flooded with anxiety. 

“That name is very Kanato-like.”

“What a coincidence. I also share the same opinion as Elena-sama.”

The four of them smiled at me. 

Elena-sama was someone that could stand tall on herself. She was strong enough on her own and yet, she always strived to reach an even greater heights. 

Jeff-sama was quite peculiar. However, despite his peculiar personality, he was always helping me to adjust with this school. 

Mia-sama was incredibly caring. She always taught various things to Rina patiently. 

As for Rina, well, I didn’t need to explain it. She was my most precious little sister. 

All four of them had a triumphant look on their face, like they had found the solution to their problem. 

They all nodded, seemingly coming to an agreement silently. 

At this moment, an overwhelming sense of fulfillment filled my heart. While the name of our party still hadn’t been officially registered yet, but our… 

No, the life of Five Star had already begun. 

“Ummm… Then when should we start the cleaning?”

“So? What is it?”

When Albert asked with a serious expression on his face, Keltz’s face gradually grew furious. 

“We’ve uncovered the identities of the spy and assassin that infiltrated my house.”

“Wha-?!”

Keltz scanned the room, trying to make sure no one was around and there was no eavesdropping spell before he carefully said… 

“After torturing them for several days, they finally spilled the beans.”

“Just who sent them? Was it the royal family? Or someone from another kingdom?”

“Neither.”

“Then, just who-“

“It was the Percy family.”

“Wha-?! The Percy family? Whose eldest son recently got engaged to the second princess?!”

“That’s right.”

“Spying on the Fibel family and even an assassination attempt on Elena-sama… Absolutely unforgivable.”

“And what are you going to do with the captured spies?”

“However, the main stage belongs to the five of them. We just need to support them from behind the shadow.””

“Yes. I’ll be sure to do my best.”

Keltz and Albert grinned at each other. 

Keltz, who wanted to grant nobility status to commoners who could use magic and Albert, who had been ignored by those noble in high-society. 

Both of their goals were perfectly aligned.
