How I Ended Up with an Extreme Yandere Landmine Beauty When I Asked to Hang Out with My Best Friend's Sister to Get Better at Talking to Girls - Chapter 41-43
Chapter 41: If Three Landmine-Type Yandere Girls All Get Together, That’s Straight-Up Dangerous, Right?
So yeah, I ended up going around the amusement park with these three super cute girls: Azuri, Mayana, and Maki.
Even though all three of them have killer faces and insane figures, their outfits are like… full-on landmine style, mass-production gyaru, angel-kei vibes—super niche stuff. Because they’re dressed so extra, people around us are totally staring like “are these girls some kinda cosplay group or what?”
“Hey Ryoya, where are we headed next? I kinda wanna ride the Ferris wheel with youuu~?”
“Huh? But the Ferris wheel…”
“Too bad, Maki-san. Ryoya-san just finished having a super intense Ferris wheel date with me a little while ago.”
“Hah? Intense?”
The second Azuri says it in that teasing tone, Maki’s eyes instantly go super sharp and she glares daggers.
Whoa whoa whoa, Azuri, why’d you have to poke the bear like that?!
“Ryoya, what the hell does that mean? What’d you do with Azuri-chan?”
“N-nothing! We seriously didn’t do anything! We just—”
“Huh? Ryoya-san, what do you mean ‘nothing’? After all that passionate conversation we had?”
“Hah? Passionate? Ryoya, what the heck did you even talk about?”
Now I’m getting death stares from both Azuri and Maki at the same time.
Why are these two getting so pissed just over some random talk we had on the Ferris wheel!?
“Hey, you two, calm down a sec…”
Then Mayana steps in, kinda sliding between them with her arms out like she’s separating two fighting cats, and tries to soothe them.
“Both Nee-san and Niijima-san… you’re making Ryoya-senpai super uncomfortable, y’know.”
“………”
Okay but seriously, the air’s been crazy tense this whole time… what’s going on?
“Uh, hey, let’s all just have fun together, yeah? Maki, snapping at girls who’re younger than you isn’t very mature, and it doesn’t really suit you.”
“…Haa, sorry Ryoya. I got a little paranoid there for a sec.”
“Paranoid?”
“I mean, if you and Azuri-chan were secretly messing around or something, I wouldn’t even know what to tell Shinichi!”
Ohhh, so that’s why she’s been so suspicious the whole time.
Classic responsible Maki move, honestly.
“And Azuri, maybe don’t rile Maki up so much. She gets really scary when she’s mad, y’know.”
“Mooou, Ryoya, what are you even saaaaying!”
“…………”
Azuri shoots a hard glare at Maki after she smacks me on the back.
Yeah… these two still aren’t gonna get along anytime soon, huh.
“Alright then, how ’bout we hit the roller coaster next?”
“Sounds good, Ryoya♡”
“………”
The vibe’s still super awkward and tense, but Maki’s got that leader energy, so she’ll probably figure out how to handle this… right?

Chapter 42: Landmine-Type Roller Coaster ♡
The four of us—me, Maki, Mayana, and Azuri—ended up making our way over to the roller coaster after that.
Well, yeah, there was a bit of drama earlier, but somehow or other we were still getting along… or so I thought.
「………」
Th-the conversation just… completely died.
Even while we were walking over, everyone suddenly went dead quiet. Nobody was trying to start a talk, and the way we were all eyeing each other felt like we were playing a freaking werewolf game, constantly sizing one another up…
Seriously, how did it turn into this…?
I’d been counting on Maki to somehow smooth things over—that was my mistake. But even the one person I was relying on was now keeping her distance from Azuri and Mayana, with me stuck right in the middle. The vibe was anything but friendly.
Sure, I did say I wanted training to get used to being around girls, but I didn’t mean training to get used to this super awkward, tense, girls-fighting-over-a-guy atmosphere!
“…Um, Ryoya-senpai.”
While I was mentally panicking, Mayana spoke up.
What’s up? Don’t tell me she’s actually worried about how lost I look…?
“The roller coaster has two seats per row, so… is it okay if I sit next to you, Ryoya-san?”
“Oh, ohhh, you meant about the roller coaster.”
Still, thanks to Mayana we finally had something to talk about.
Yeah, true—roller coasters are two people side by side, so we obviously had to split into pairs before riding.
If Mayana was cool sitting next to me, then I didn’t mind at all…
“Got it. Then Mayana can ride with me and—”
“Ehh! But I… kinda don’t really wanna sit next to Maki-san…”
“Yeah! And I’m not super excited about sitting next to Azuri-chan either, honestly.”
The second Azuri said it in that super exaggerated tone, Maki fired right back, and the air instantly got ten times heavier.
There they go again… poking at each other on purpose.
You two are way too obvious about it…
Wait—don’t tell me they’re deliberately acting this catty toward each other just to help with my “get used to girls” training!?
Because otherwise I can’t imagine they’d dislike each other this blatantly.
“Then why doesn’t Ryoya-senpai just decide?”
“…Huh!? Wha—!?”
Mayana suddenly dropped that bombshell and I swear my heart almost jumped out of my mouth.
“Yeah, Ryoya should be the one to choose.”
“Ryoya-san, obviously it’s me, right?”
“Ryoya-senpai, it’s about time you made it clear.”
I’m really… the one who has to pick!?
It felt exactly like all the times I’d just gone with the flow were finally coming back to bite me.

Chapter 43: Picking One Out of Three Yandere Girls and Heading Off on a “Trip” (You Know What I Mean)〜
Before we got on the roller coaster, the big question was who I’d sit next to.
And that choice—got dumped right in my lap.
Three gorgeous girls—Azuri, Mayana, and Maki—were all staring me down with these intense looks.
To anybody watching from the outside, it probably looked like “Dude, you’ve got your pick of the litter, just choose already.” Having this many beautiful girls all in one place doesn’t happen in real life, and for a regular guy like me it was way too much luxury.
But… what the hell was this atmosphere?
The second I picked one, it felt like the other one—or ones—were gonna hate my guts.
Things already felt this heavy back when it was just Azuri and Mayana, so I figured Maki showing up would lighten it, but if anything it got even worse…
What am I even supposed to do here!
“Uh, look, that’s kinda—”
「「「…………」」」
The moment I tried to dodge the question, all three faces darkened at once.
The humidity in the air shot up so fast it felt like we’d stepped straight into rainy season.
Seriously… what is going on.
Why does the vibe have to be this bad!!
There was no way we could just let this slide with vague answers anymore…
If I had to pick just one in this situation, it’d probably be safest to go with Maki, right?
We’d been together the longest, we knew each other super well—picking her felt like the safe bet.
But then having Azuri and Mayana sit together in the row behind us… that also sounded like a recipe for disaster.
‘Ryoya-senpai, that’s so mean.’
‘Ryoya-san… you’re seriously not picking me? I’m honestly disappointed…’
I could already picture the two of them saying it in sulky voices, their faces clouding over.
If I messed this up bad enough, it might end up like the first episode of Co●n with somebody getting their head chopped off… n-nope, that’d be seriously dangerous!!
If I wanted to fix this tense mess, picking Maki still wasn’t the move…
“…Okay, fine. I’ll ride with Azuri.”
「「Eh…」」
Maki and Mayana both went blank-faced, mouths hanging open.
“Ehh!? For real, Ryoya-san? ♡♡”
Meanwhile Azuri’s mouth curved into a perfect little heart shape as she beamed.
“What’s that supposed to mean, Ryoya? Don’t tell me you actually fell for Azuri-chan or something?”
“N-no! That’s not it!”
“Huh? So it’s not true, Ryoya-san?”
“Aaah—come on, everybody just listen for a sec!”
I slipped past Maki and Azuri as they closed in with dead-serious expressions and quickly explained why I chose Azuri.
“You and Mayana are sisters, right? So if the two of you sit together, that should work out fine. That’s why I figured I’d sit next to Azuri.”
Yeah—that was it. I’d found the sister option.
Azuri didn’t get along great with either Mayana or Maki anyway, so putting her next to me seemed like the smoothest way to keep things peaceful.
“…Haa. Ryoya, you’ve really gotten good at dodging, huh. Is this what all that ‘get used to girls’ training with Azuri-chan has done for you?”
“It’s not like that. This is just the best choice so everybody can actually enjoy it, isn’t it?”
“Exactly, Maki-san ♡”
Azuri answered in a super cheerful voice while Maki shot her a sharp glare.
Haa… seriously, why is Maki so pissed off today of all days.
“Come on, let’s go, everybody. The roller coaster’s super popular—we gotta get in line.”
“Yes ♡”
Only Azuri answered brightly. Mayana gave a small nod, and Maki just let out a long sigh.
