How I Ended Up with an Extreme Yandere Landmine Beauty When I Asked to Hang Out with My Best Friend's Sister to Get Better at Talking to Girls - Chapter 39-40
Chapter 39: Landmine Girl VS Landmine Girl VS Yandere VS Once Again, Ryoya Who Knows Absolutely Nothing
When I turned around at the voice coming from behind me, there she was…
“Ryoya, sorry sorry, I ended up coming〜”
Running up to me out of breath was Maki, Mayana’s big sister and my best friend, Saito Maki.
She wasn’t quite on the same level as Mayana and the others with the full landmine-girl vibe, but she had this super loose and fluffy feel going on. She was wearing a white-and-baby-blue-based subculture one-piece dress in that whole angel-kei style, topped with a white hat, and she had this pure-white fluffy shoulder pouch slung over her.
“M-Maki!? Why are you here!”
My voice accidentally came out way too loud from the shock.
Why… why is Maki here…?
Also, has Maki’s casual style been like this lately?
But… something’s off.
I can’t imagine Mayana telling her, and I seriously doubt Azuri told Shinichi and then Shinichi passed it on to Maki.
So then… how the hell is Maki at the amusement park…?
“…Nee-san. Why?”
“Hold up, did you tell her, Saito-san?”
“I didn’t.”
Even Mayana and Azuri, who were standing right next to me, exchanged confused looks.
Those two are reacting like this too… Wait, for real? Maki actually just happened to show up?
“Um, hey Maki. How did you know we were here?”
“Umm… oh yeah, Shinichi told me! He said Ryoya and Azuri-chan were gonna be here.”
Yeah, this is definitely weird…
I never told Shinichi I was coming here.
No matter how much he’s Azuri’s brother and my best friend, I really didn’t want him getting the wrong idea that Azuri and I were on some kind of amusement-park-date level of relationship.
This is strictly training, y’know? That’s exactly why I didn’t tell either of my two best friends about it…
Which means the only way Shinichi could know is if he heard it from Azuri.
But given the kind of relationship those two have, I can’t picture them chatting about something like this at all.
So then… where did he hear it from?
It’s seriously just mystery after mystery.
Well… but I guess since Maki knows so many people, maybe she just caught wind of it through the grapevine or something.
Or maybe she was worried about Mayana and came to check?
She’s got that big-sister-protector thing going on, and no matter what, she really does care about her little sister, so that tracks.
“Seriously, Mayana〜 If you’re gonna hang out with Ryoya you gotta invite me too, okay?”
“…………”
Mayana’s eyes turned into that dead, grossed-out stare—like she was looking at a fly buzzing around a toilet.
After what happened at my house last time too… yeah, Mayana and Maki really are… ugh, but whatever, right now we gotta fix this vibe.
“A-anyway! Since Maki’s here now, why don’t we all just go around together? Yeah?”
“Yeah! Sounds good, Ryoya!”
While Maki was smiling all bright and happy, Mayana and Azuri looked super tense—like they were bracing themselves and on full alert.
Why does the air feel so freaking hostile right now…

Chapter 40: Side Saito Maki “I Ended Up Coming All the Way to the Amusement Park ♡” (Maki’s POV)
I stepped into the amusement park wearing my “usual outfit”—that super frilly angel-kei style clothes—and a pair of pure-white platform sneakers.
I spotted Ryoya right away and managed to “capture” him successfully.
“Alright then, Maki, come with us too.”
“Yeah! Thanks, Ryoya.”
I kept up the act that I’d heard it from Shinichi, and started walking along with Ryoya and the others.
Still though… I never would’ve thought Ryoya would get this close with “these two” to the point of coming to an amusement park together.
I glanced around at my little sister Mayana and Shinichi’s little sister Azuri, and while I was at it, I shot them a glare.
Ugh, it’s all because that idiot Shinichi went and suggested some weird plan to Ryoya—now my “family plan” is totally ruined.
Ryoya, my childhood friend who’s been with me basically since we were little kids.
He’s not like ridiculously hot or anything, but he’s super considerate, really kind, and above all, he’s got this pure, innocent heart that hates anything crooked or unfair.
Back when we were little, after that one thing that happened on the spinning playground equipment at the park, I started feeling this tingly, warm sensation right around my chest whenever I was next to Ryoya.
It wasn’t until middle school that I finally figured out what that feeling really was.
During that super hormonal phase where you can’t help but learn way too much about sex, the more I thought about Ryoya, the more this intense rush kept building up inside my whole body.
If I had to put a word to this feeling… it’s not some childish thing like “love.”
It’s definitely pure love—like straight-up “pure love.”
My heart and my body both react to this guy named Tada Ryoya.
I could only see Ryoya as a “man.”
When puberty hit its peak, I was dying to see him naked.
But if I ever let those feelings show, Ryoya would definitely start keeping his distance from me.
Because to him, I’m not someone he sees as a girl.
I’m just his childhood friend Saito Maki—nothing more, nothing less.
After all this time together and still not being seen as a romantic option… that’s exactly why I came up with one plan.
That plan was to make sure that, in the future, the only girl Ryoya could possibly marry would be “me.”
The method to become 100% family with Ryoya—my so-called “family plan.”
Any girl who tried to get close to Tada Ryoya, I eliminated them all.
Well, “eliminated” but obviously not physically or anything.
I’ve built up a pretty solid network over the years.
Whenever a girl got even a little close to Ryoya, I’d introduce her to some hot guy from the soccer team or basketball team that I knew, making sure she’d never come near Ryoya again.
Ryoya’s just an average-looking guy, but he’s got good manners and he’s not unpopular or anything.
I’ve seen it happen a few times—some obviously introverted girls trying to make a move on him.
But every single time, being at the top of the class hierarchy, I’d step in and introduce them to some other outgoing guy instead, blocking them from getting anywhere near Ryoya.
I’m not getting in his way.
I’m protecting him.
I figured if things kept going like this for a few more years, Ryoya would stay a virgin with zero experience with girls, and we’d get our happy ending together…
But then she showed up—the absolute worst one messing with our family plan… Niijima Azuri.
“…Hehe, I never would’ve imagined Saito-san’s big sister showing up here ♡”
While we were walking, maybe because I was glaring at her, Azuri reacted by flashing me this fake-ass smile in return.
This landmine girl, this thieving vixen.
While you were living your easy, pampered life at that fancy girls’ school, do you have any idea how hard I worked to protect Ryoya from other girls?
Even when Ryoya said he wanted to “get used to girls,” and I offered to introduce him to some, I really was gonna do it.
I just planned to add the condition later that “I’d come along too.”
“Nee-san…”
“What is it, Mayana.”
“…What Azuri just said earlier? That was her way of saying ‘don’t get in the way.’”
Mayana muttered it quietly right next to my ear.
“Oh yeah? And?”
“…I feel the same way.”
With that, Mayana turned and glared right back at me.
So that’s how it is, Mayana… you too, huh.
Blood really is thicker than water… isn’t it.
Fine then… I won’t hold back.
I’ll crush both of you.
Because Ryoya has no choice but to choose me.
That’s what my family plan is all about.
