How I Ended Up with an Extreme Yandere Landmine Beauty When I Asked to Hang Out with My Best Friend's Sister to Get Better at Talking to Girls - Chapter 37-38
Chapter 37: Landmine Sandwich (Explosion)
We got on the Ferris wheel and spent some time with just the two of us, me and Azuri.
I was kinda nervous when I opened up about how I really felt, but Azuri took it surprisingly well, like it was no big deal.
I’m happy she understood my feelings and all… but still.
I look at Azuri’s face sitting right across from me.
Yeah, Azuri really is cute… wait, no, that’s not the point!
“Ryoya-san picking me makes me just as happy as that day♡”
“Uh, ah, yeah”
Azuri’s looking at me with these dreamy, half-lidded eyes and talking in this super sweet voice.
She seems to be in a really good mood now, which is great, but I still don’t really get what “that day” was about, so I gotta remember it soon…
But y’know, maybe I should just be straight with her, apologize properly, and ask about “that day” while we’re at it?
“…Um, Azuri”
“Yes? Ryoya-san♡”
“About that day—”
Right when I tried to ask about that day—
“Thaaank you for riding~!”
“…Huh?”
Exactly at that moment, the Ferris wheel had finished one full loop.
I finally had the perfect flow to ask, and then… this.
“Ryoya-san, should we get off?”
“Yeah”
Me and Azuri step off the Ferris wheel and head over to where Mayana’s waiting in front of the ride.
“Niijima-san, what was that lime message about earlier?”
“Lime? What’re you talking about, Azuri?”
“I sent a lime ahead of time while we were on the Ferris wheel saying we should cancel the competition.”
Ohhh… so that’s why Mayana’s in such a bad mood.
She’s been scowling this whole time, glaring at Azuri with pure disgust in her eyes.
“We came here for Ryoya-san’s girl-experience training, right? But then you two were way more focused on your own little contest than on him. If that made Ryoya-san feel bad, isn’t that totally backwards?”
“…Yeah, that’s true, I guess. What about you, Ryoya-senpai?”
“Uh… sorry, Mayana! Honestly, watching you two get so intense about beating each other made me feel kinda left out. Like, we came to an amusement park, but it didn’t feel like all three of us were actually having fun.”
That’s why I ended up telling Azuri how I felt.
“And yeah, holding hands, hugging me and stuff—it was all super nice from a guy’s point of view, but at the same time it felt like you two were forcing yourselves just so you wouldn’t lose the bet.”
““We weren’t forcing ourselves!!””
Both of them shot back really loudly.
No way, come on. They were definitely doing all that hugging and hand-holding on purpose just for the competition. Had to be.
Otherwise there’s no way they’d wanna do that kinda stuff with someone like me.
“A-anyway! From now on let’s forget about all that and just have fun together, the three of us, okay?”
I kinda talked them into it, and finally we started walking around the park normally.
But right then—
“Wait a second.”
Just when I thought I’d smoothed things over, Mayana cut in.
“So in the end, the result of the competition is a ‘draw,’ right?”
“Uh, yeah, I guess—”
“…No, it’s fine. You can say I lost, Saito-san.”
“Azuri!?”
Azuri accepts defeat way too easily.
She’s acting like a completely different person from the one who was going all out in that battle just a minute ago.
“Why would you… Niijima-san, what’s gotten into you all of a sudden?”
“Nothing’s gotten into me. Ryoya-san just told me on the Ferris wheel. He said he prefers a girl who can honestly admit defeat and enjoy the park with him, over some boring woman who gets way too into a stupid little contest.”
“W-wait! What the hell are you saying, Azuri!!”
This girl’s twisting my words like crazy!!
Of course I never said anything like that.
All I said was “Wouldn’t it be better if we all just enjoyed ourselves instead of competing?”
“Ryoya-senpai…? So does that mean I’m the boring woman who’s too into the contest?”
“No, that’s not what I—”
“Then it’s fine if I admit defeat too, right? Right?”
“I-I didn’t mean it like—”
“Huh? Ryoya-san, are you saying that’s not true? You’re not actually in love with me?”
“Ryoya-senpai, which one is it really? Who are you gonna choose!?”
Azuri and Mayana are staring me down with these icy, almost murderous looks, slowly closing in on me.
Shit shit shit shit shit shit…
Taking one girl’s side means not taking the other’s.
And for these two… that’s exactly the landmine!!

Chapter 38: Yandere Landmine Girls Fighting Each Other and… Someone’s Voice?
“「Which side are you on, Ryoya-san (Senpai)!?」」”
In this super bright amusement park full of kids smiling everywhere, I’m getting cornered with dead-serious faces by my best friend’s two little sisters (the big-boob landmine types).
Even though the sky’s all clear and sunny around us, it seriously feels like our little bubble is the only spot covered in rain clouds. The air’s so heavy and humid it’s suffocating.
“Uh, umm…”
Okay, at this point I gotta change the subject somehow, quick.
I learned this from my “get used to girls” training with Azuri.
When a girl starts throwing super heavy emotions at you like this, the best move is to just deflect the conversation.
Plus, the whole reason I stopped their little contest was so all three of us—Azuri, Mayana, and me—could just have fun together.
No way I’m letting the mood get ruined again!
“Oh, right! Hey, you two! How about we hit the roller coaster next or something—”
“「Which one is it!!」」”
Azuri blasts me from the left, Mayana from the right—their voices hit my cheeks with so much force I instantly make that crying kitten face from the cat memes.
They’re straight-up interrogating me about whose side I’m on, and there’s no way I can actually answer that.
Picking one side would just end up hurting the other one… wait. Ohhh.
“I-it’s not about choosing one or the other! I’m on both your sides! That’s exactly why I said let’s stop the contest earlier. I wanna have fun with both of you. Come on, you guys gotta understand…”
I basically squeeze those words out from the deepest part of my brain and just throw them at the two of them.
No more excuses, no more dodging.
That stuff won’t work on these two anymore.
I’ve gotta be straight with them.
Honestly, talking with these two has definitely made me grow a bit.
“…Ryoya-san. I’m sorry.”
“I didn’t think about how Senpai Ryoya felt either… sorry.”
The second I appeal to them sincerely from the heart, both of them suddenly deflate—go all quiet and start reflecting like that.
Compared to how intense and heavy the air got when they were mad, the way they accept it so easily now is honestly kinda confusing.
Super aggressive when attacking, but fragile when receiving… I just don’t get it at all.
“But Ryoya-san, I have zero intention of getting along with Saito-san.”
“Same here on the left.”
“Why does it turn into that?! A-anyway, let’s just go already, you two!”
After that, I basically drag the two fighting girls by the scruff of their necks (figuratively) and somehow manage to get all three of us moving toward the roller coaster.
I did manage to calm them down for now… but I got this bad feeling that even on the roller coaster things are gonna get messy if this keeps up.
“Oiii, Ryoyaaa—!”
While we’re walking toward the roller coaster ride, a voice suddenly calls my name from behind.
This voice… it’s…
