- After Being Dumped By Senpai, I Met A High School Girl
- Chapter 11 - Before The Confession
“Aaahh!!! What do you think you’re doing to another person’s letter?”
Watanabe-san screamed as soon as she opened the rooftop door and saw me holding the love letter.
With heavy footsteps, she instantly closed the distance between us.
How should I answer her?
“Uh, was this letter for you? But the name–.”
“Yeah, someone gave it to me this morning. It probably fell off when YOU bumped into me earlier. To think that a teacher such as yourself would open someone’s letter. You’re the worst!”
Before I finished my sentence, Watanabe-san hurled those words at me.
“Give it back.”
“Alright. But first, answer my question.”
“Muu~. You’re irritating me. Give me that!”
As soon as she said that, she tried reaching for the letter. I instinctively raise it in the air. I can’t miss this chance. I need answers.
Her height was around my shoulders. So for her to reach it, Watanabe-san jumped high up.
“Hey, stop that. I just need for you to answer a question of mine.”
“Give me… haa… that…”
It seemed that she wasn’t listening to my words. She continued jumping up and down that I had to step back and then…
“Waah!”
“Hey, that’s dangerous!”
Since I raised my hand up high, holding the letter above my head, she desperately jumped forward, making her lose her balance.
*Baam*
We both fell.
“Ugh… are you okay, Watanabe-san?”
Soft… I can feel something soft pressing upon my chest.
As we were falling due to being unbalanced, I hugged her to protect her from getting injured.
“U-uhh… Huh? Ehhh? Why am I–.”
She suddenly stopped her words.
If others saw us right now, it’ll look terrible and might be misunderstood.
Upon realizing that she was on top of me, Watanabe-san quickly snatched the letter from my hands and ran off, leaving me alone again on the rooftop.

After that chaotic encounter with Watanabe-san, I went to the infirmary to have a quick check-up.
Thankfully, it was a scratch, but I need to bandage it up.
*Slides open*
“Excuse me.”
The infirmary room was empty. The health doctor probably was having lunch at the moment.
There were only a few minutes before lunch break. I looked around the medicine cabinet for antiseptic and disinfectant while waiting for the health doctor when the door opened.
“Pardon the intrusion. Chigusa-sensei, about the–.”
“Goto-sensei?”
“Hasegawa-sensei?”
It was Goto-san who entered the room.
“The health doctor is probably on lunch break. Why are you here, Goto-sensei?”
“Ah, it’s something personal. Oh my, you are bleeding. What happened, Hasegawa-sensei?”
Now that I look at it, my elbows were bleeding.
“It’s just a scratch, nothing that big of a deal.”
“Come here. Let me have a look.”
“It’s fine, I insist.”
Goto-san pushed me from the back towards the infirmary table. She then grabbed my hand and started to inspect the wound.
“This will sting for a bit. Excuse me.”
“A-Ah…”
“You’re a boy. Act like one, Kotaro-kun.”
“I-I’ll try…”
Afterward, Goto-san carefully cleaned the wounds using the disinfectant, then bandaged the wound with gauze.
“Yosh! That should be it. Good boy Kotaro-kun (*pat pat*). “
“!”
Goto-san started patting my head.
“Ah! I’m sorry. I did that involuntarily.”
“I-It’s okay.”
This was something she always did whenever I got injured.
“But, you truly are as careless as ever. You haven’t changed since high school.”
“I’m trying, you know? It’s not like I wanted to get hurt all the time.”
“Remember that time the first time you confessed to me? To be honest, I was scared. You were beaten up, ragged, and have wounds all over. “
“Was that the case?”
“Yeah. I mean, who would go out with a person looking like that? My knees were trembling at the time. That’s why I also made that lie of not dating younger than me.”
“Yeah…”
“But you really went beyond my expectations, Kotaro-kun. To think that you’ll have a complete change. I was moved by your perseverance.”
“I-I see…”
“If only that didn’t happen… Hey Kotaro–.”
*Ding-dong, Ding-dong*
“Ah! Lunch break is over. Goto-sensei, please excuse me. I need to go back to class.”
“Alright.”
I stood up and exited the infirmary room.
It hurts.
The pain I felt from that time as we broke up came rushing back to me.
With such thoughts in mind, I went back to class.
———————————–
It was now after school. Lots of students were going to school clubs while some were preparing to head home.
“Sensei, I have a question regarding the upcoming sports–.”
“Ah, I’ll answer it tomorrow.”
Mio, the class president, tried to stop me, but…
“I’m sorry, Mio-san. I’ll answer it tomorrow.”
I quickly left the classroom and headed for the faculty office. Then, I packed my stuff and left the school.
I can’t waste this chance. The chance to know whether or not Watanabe and Airi were different persons.
It may be unbecoming of a teacher, but I ran at full speed and arrived at the entrance.
The time was 4:45 pm. There’s still enough time.
The destination I am currently at right now – is Yoyogi Park. The place where the “confession” of a particular individual was supposed to take place.
