- Chapter 2 Part 1 - Lets figure out a way for the god of romantic comedy to use her divine powers (1)
TL: Xean
ED: Ryuubi
It’s been a few days since I promised Seira that I would help her learn how to use her divine power.
Seira and I have been meeting, calling, and emailing each other every day, discussing how to help her use her divine power successfully.
But unfortunately, we haven’t come up with any good solutions so far.
By the way, regarding the divine power, I was told that it allows the god of romantic comedy to intentionally cause all kinds of phenomena. This is something I heard from Seira during our discussion.
Well, I was somewhat aware of it since I had been affected by this divine power twenty-three times before.
“I hope Seira can master her divine power as soon as possible…”
I muttered to myself as I walked down the corridor during lunch break.
And then Seira can fulfill her role as the god of romantic comedy, and I can express my feelings to Tenshin.
But by the looks of things, it seems that I won’t be able to achieve my goal of making Tenshin my girlfriend by the time of the school festival…
Because in the first place, confessing before the school festival seems impossible.
“Hold your horses, you virgin.”
Suddenly, someone called out to me.
When I turned around, I saw Yuno looking angry for some reason.
“Look here, don’t call me ‘virgin’ like it’s my given name.”
“Whatever. Why don’t you just change your name to ‘Virgin Kirishima’?”
“My parents would cry if I did that.”
Damn. As usual, this girl just says the most absurd things.
“So, what’s up? Hurry up because I need to go to the store and buy some bread for lunch.”
“I don’t care about that. I need to talk to you.”
“Don’t say it’s not important, at least for me it is.”
Does this girl plan to ruin my lunch?
“Anyway, I need to talk to you. Just follow me.”
Yuno grabbed the sleeve of my uniform and pulled it tightly as she dragged me away.
“O-oi, wait a minute. I still haven’t gotten my lunch yet…”
“You’re so noisy. Shut up and just follow.”
I tried to resist, but Yuno wouldn’t listen and ended up taking me away. Why is this girl so pushy?
“So, what is it that you want to talk about?”
The place where Yuno forcibly brought me was the corridor in front of the science lab located at the end of the school building.
It is a place where no one usually comes to except during class.
“Are you worried about what happened the other day? I think I properly apologized for that one.”
About two days ago. I’ve fallen in love with Yuno, temporarily, because Seira failed to use her divine power when I tried to confess my love to Tenshin on the rooftop. And to make matters worse, I performed “Kabedon” and “Agokui” on her due to being in love with her at the time.
TN: Kabedon = Wall slam
TN: Agokui, lifting somebody’s face by their chin in a domineering yet romantic fashion. What Yuugo did was a combination of Kabedon + Agokui
Of course, I was beaten up by Yuno afterwards.
“The other day? … I-It’s not about that! I-I don’t care about something like that!”
Yuno yelled while blushing red. So you really are concerned about it, heh.
“That’s not what this is about.”
After saying that, Yuno coughed a little and then proceeded.
“Yuugo, are you asking Luna to help you with your confession?”
Her green eyes squinted in suspicion as she asked.
It was so abrupt that I was flustered as I answered.
“T-That’s not really the case…”
“I wonder if that’s true? I heard it from neesan. She told me that when she interrupted Yuugo’s confession, something slightly different happened than what she wanted to happen. Maybe it has something to do with Luna?”
“*Gulp*…”
She perfectly hit the mark.
“And Luna’s been acting strange lately. She’s been going away after school, and has been texting a lot during breaks. She’s been doing that ever since the day she met Yuugo. You definitely have something to do with this, don’t you?”
Yuno suspiciously looked at me.
Hey Seira. Hide it a little, will you?
“Yuugo, tell me the truth.”
Yuno continued to press on with her words looking for answers. Hmm… It seems impossible to hide it after all.
“Yeah it’s true that Seira is helping me with my confession. But what’s wrong with that?”
“I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with it. But I think you should stop working with Luna.”
“Ha? Why is that?”
“Because that girl… She can’t use her divine power properly.”
I’m at a loss for words at the sudden words that came out of her mouth.
This girl, so she knows that Seira can’t use her divine powers properly.
“In any case, Nee-san is using her divine power to interfere with Yuugo’s confession, and I think you’re scheming to get Luna’s divine power to counteract that.”
Moreover, she knows what I’m thinking.
“Y-Yeah, t-that’s right…”
“What’s with you, you’re not surprised at all. Do you know… that Luna can’t use her divine powers properly?”
Yuno asked me in a slightly surprised tone, as if she sensed something from my reaction.
Since they already know that Seira is cooperating with my confession, there’s no particular need to fool them, right?
“Well, that’s right… But why do you know about Seira not being able to use her divine powers properly? She said that she didn’t tell you or Tsukimiya about that.”
“Anyone who has been with someone for a year or so can tell. And besides, Luna is really bad at hiding secrets.”
“… I can’t disagree with that.”
It was pretty evident with me, too.
“And by the way, Nee-san knows it too.”
“Even Tsukimiya?”
Which means that when Seira boasted that she had helped two hundred people fall in love, all the praise from Tsukimiya was a lie. She’s surprisingly good at acting, isn’t she?
And also, Seira, you’re really a girl who can’t hide anything.
You thought you were able to hide it until now, but Yuno and Tsukimiya are already aware of what you’re doing.
“So, why is Yuugo letting Luna help him with his confession?”
“Even if you ask me why… And by the way, why are you concerned about that, Yuno? It isn’t any of your business, right?”
“T-That may be true, but you… you’re being too reckless, so I’m giving you some advice.”
“Advice? Why would you do that? I thought you didn’t want to help with my confession because it would make Tsukimiya sad if I ended up going out with Tenshin.”
“Y-Yes, that’s right. But, umm… Yuugo helped me and Nee-san fix our relationship.”
Maybe she was embarrassed, but Yuno turned her face slightly to the side and said so.
Ahh, so that’s how it is. Apparently, Yuno still feels indebted to me for helping her and Tsukimiya get along. That’s why she told me that Seira couldn’t use her divine power to help with the confession.
“I see. Well, thank you for telling me. But I’m going to work with Seira with my confession to Tenshin.”
“Why? Luna can’t help you confess because she can’t use her divine power properly.”
“You’re naive, Yuno. It is true that Seira is not yet able to use her divine power properly. But that’s where I come in. I’m going to make sure that Seira can use her divine power properly.”
When I said this, Yuno was a little surprised and let out a big sigh of exasperation.
“I’ve already given you some advice. I hope you won’t regret it.”
“Yeah, I know.”
For what it’s worth, Yuno is kind, too, isn’t she? Even though she is a big siscon.
“Thank you, Yuno.”
“Kuh! You’re so annoying. No need to mention it.”
When I thanked her for the advice, Yuno’s cheeks flushed in embarrassment as she spoke back.
“In addition, I should tell you that Nee-san doesn’t know about Luna helping Yuugo with your confession.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes, for now.”
That’s good information. If she finds out that Seira is cooperating with my confession, the two of us won’t be able to have discussions anymore. Because Tsukimiya will definitely intervene.
“Ah, perhaps you’ll tell Tsukimiya that Seira is helping me with my confession?”
“No, I won’t tell her. I will neither help nor hinder Yuugo’s confession.”
When I asked worriedly, Yuno answered with that.
“So you’re being neutral. That’s a relief.”
“Kuh! I-I’m not doing this for you! Idiot!”
Yuno got angry and walked back the way we came.
A real tsundere.
Looking at her back as she got further and further away, I thought so again.
