With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 53- Secrets and another step?

Maya was stunned. More like she couldn’t believe her ears, even though she heard her Lord, loud and clear.

Her eyes were parted slightly wide, mouth hanging low which was unbecoming of a lady. However, after what she heard from her Lord, there was no way she could have cared about such trivial gestures.

“R-Revived?” Maya already was unsure how her Lord was able to conjure elemental magic back in the arena, and now he is even adding the fact that he could bring people from the dead?

If this wasn’t mind-wobbling news, then Maya doesn’t know, what was.

“Maya…there are things I haven’t told you. Something about me that only Shio knows, and not even my sister. However, before I tell you about my deepest secret, I need your consent for something, so I can tell you everything without hesitation.”

Maya forcibly plucked herself out of her daze, as she regarded her Lord’s words as her priority.

Hearing his words, Maya didn’t pause before nodding her head as her words soon followed, “Whatever it takes, I am prepared to give you the proof of my loyalty, Yuki-sama.”

They haven’t been in a proper relationship for more than two days and initially, Maya thought, it would take more than a year or so for them to form the bond they had in the past…

And now, by any means, she could gain his surety then Maya could ask for nothing more.

…however, she didn’t expect Yuki to be asking something like this.

“If that’s what you really feel like then…have sex with me.”

Yuki sent a terminal message to Shio and told her everything in a summary and also…that he would be spending some hours in Maya’s room.

Despite how untroubled and lively she sounded, Yuki knew that Shio was hurt and she had all the right to. Although, when Yuki and Shio got into a relationship he told her that he may have other lovers as well and Shio accepted it as well, Yuki somehow knew that Shio must have hoped that this day never come.

“Yuki-sama…if you want we can postpone this step for a later date…I have become a good friend with Shio and spending some more time with her may help lessen her grief.”

What Maya proposed was the best route possible and considering how outgoing Shio is, both of them would grow closer in no time…however,

“No, we cannot delay this. There are things we need to face just in a month and for that, I want you and Shio to know my whole truth.”

A month, meant the Clan meeting where Yuki would be bidding his farewell to his family for the last time. There were people who would raise questions and some might point their weapons in opposition to his announcement, but Yuki had already decided that he would do everything in his power to free Maya from her shackles, and also claim his independence.

Lost for words, Maya could only nod shyly as she followed Yuki inside her room, which she had left two days ago, and came back once only to get her clothes.

Her room was the same as Yuki’s in design, except for the dull colors she used for her bedsheet and curtain. Pure black and grey, and even the lighting was too dim.

“Signs of an introvert I guess?”

Maya felt like digging a hole and hiding her face in it, that much embarrassment she was facing at the moment.

Yuki couldn’t help smiling at her bashful reaction before he reached out to hold her hand and reassured her, “Don’t worry, I generally tend to be a loner as well, if only a lively ball of energy wouldn’t have always brought me into the light.”

Maya couldn’t help chuckling imagining Shio going against all of Yuki’s resistance and pulling him out of his shell. Truth be told, Maya could expect something like that from that girl alone.

“You really like her, don’t you?” Maya asked with her smile still remaining on her face.

The way his eyes always turn warm when he speaks about Shio, expresses how fond her Lord was toward his first love.

“Well yeah, that’s true… however,” Maya nearly squealed when her Lord pulled her closer to him, caging her in his arms before whispering in a heavy tone, “…tonight, my eyes would only be for you, Maya.”

At the same time, when the two love birds were uniting after crossing so many hurdles and separation, a group of people sat at a different corner of the Tower, currently engaged in a serious conversation.

The room was filled with candles and a round table in the center of it, where the group of six sat. The fluorescent candle provided a calming vibe to the room and being the only source of light, there was no clear visibility around the place.

“So he denied…well, that was something we all expected.” One of the six, who was wearing a purple robe with a black collar, spoke in a haughty tone while painting her nails with some fancy shade.

“He is an anomalous enigma…there is no chance he would say yes to something so suspicious this easily. More so when the lady who went to talk-” The man with green hair and the same shade of collar surrounding his neck, responded but soon got interrupted.

“What do you mean by that, eh? Are you suggesting that my convincing skills aren’t good?” This time it was the red-haired woman who had come to meet Yuki yesterday, who nearly shouted her words. For the record, she had a white collar around her neck.

“Settle down, you two. We don’t want another brawl.” The one who spoke in a commanding voice was a blond woman wearing a red collar around her neck and seemingly held a superior position since her words were enough for the other two to quiet down immediately.

Once the blond woman found the meeting back on its pace, she sighed before her focus went back to the boy whose picture was currently being displayed over the hologram, placed in the middle of the table.

“Kurokawa Yuki…I wonder what ‘he’ saw in you…” The blond woman couldn’t help but feel her interest in the silver-haired first-year boy rising.

Apart from his unnatural awakening and how often he was getting involved in altercations after enrollment, there was something more that made the lady intrigued with Yuki.

And that was the interest of her master toward the boy.

‘It seems, it’s finally the time to move things a bit and see where this goes…’ Allowing a smirk to lift her lips, which sent a shiver down everyone’s spine, the lady took a decision that night.

A decision, which surely was going to affect Yuki in various manners.
