With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 52-...utterly confused
How rare was dual awakening? It could be counted on fingers, how many dual awakeners are there across the globe.
And none of the dual-awakened individuals had been ranked any less than S. It’s said, that dual awakeners always have a special constitution that allows them to wield two skills without hampering their mana core.
Dual awakening was a phenomenon that could easily make a person globally famous, generations worth wealthy, and remarkably strong.
But, triple-awakening?
More than impossible, it sounded ridiculous. A person able to wield not one or two but three skills without collapsing and having every fragment of the body, still human?
Utterly baffling and mind wobbling.
Not just the audience, but Maya and the Professor herself were gobsmacked seeing the flame-coated hand of Yuki, grabbing Ryan by his face.
The older female, maybe for the first time felt a chill of dread coursing through her body when she saw a slightly above-average boy, pulling out an Elemental E-rank spell, Fortification out of nowhere.
In the first place, how he can use that skill with which he was never registered?
Maki never doubted her remembrance as much as she was doubting as of now. She couldn’t believe that this boy was abandoned by his family for possessing a useless skill that was nowhere helpful for a combatant.
But now…he has two skills other than his primary one. First the barrier and now…
“Oh boy, this is so gonna get fucked up in no time…” She couldn’t help cursing as a small smirk lifted the left edge of her lip, as she folded her arms over her stomach and enjoyed the spectacle for now.

[Back in the ring]
For the first time, after entering the arena, there was a sense of fear and profound confusion blended in Ryan’s eyes as he stared at his opponent’s deathly cold eyes.
Ryan’s face was burning because of flames, which his opponent pulled out of nowhere.
‘Wasn’t he just a barrier and some weak skill user?!’ It was not a hidden fact why the prominent Kurokawa family abandoned Yuki. He awakened a skill which helped him change clothes, nothing else and this was nothing but a disgrace to the clan and the patriarch.
The surprise element played a vital role here since before Ryan could have countered Yuki’s assault, Yuki used the strength of his whole arm to lift the blond off the ground before slamming his head back to the ground.
*DHAK*
*CRACK*
Though Yuki’s slender frame might suggest otherwise, the sheer force of his blow was enough to form a modest depression in the ground where he struck his opponent.
“Ghakkk!!” Ryan spat in agony, as a hoarse scream left his throat and eyes nearly turning white. He somehow held his consciousness as he felt the scorching heat detaching from his face
However, the momentary pause was short-lived.
“Hup,” Yuki swiftly jumped from his spot, spinning in mid-air to position his back toward the fallen blond. His left fist, tightly clenched and supported by his right hand, shot forward, aiming a precise elbow strike aimed directly at Ryan.
His arm was coated with raw flames, as he struck the strike right at the middle of his chest.
*BOOOM*
Dust and debris billowed around them, evidence of the forceful impact. The increased size of the crater clearly showcased Yuki’s adeptness in harnessing and channeling his Elemental affinity to reinforce his physical blows.
Before the cloud of dust could have cleared out, a figure walked out of the arena with a wristband held in his hand.
Without a doubt, it was Yuki.
The first person he saw was, of course, the Professor who took the wristband from him and went directly inside the arena to check on Ryan.
After walking out of the arena, Yuki was interrupted by none. Well, he had never talked to anyone before other than some subtle nods or greetings but at the moment, people were completely avoiding him.
The reason was obvious. They were frightened of him.
However, he didn’t bother with them and made his way toward the only person he cared about amongst the crowd.
Maya’s expression was a mixture of admiration and confusion. However, before she could have said or asked anything, Yuki took hold of her wrist and began walking toward the exit, without bothering whether the Professor allowed him or not.
He wanted just to exit the place for some reason.
Maya found his reaction strange and his demeanor not of someone who has gallantly won a battle.
After exiting the training ground, Maya was not able to help asking, “Is everything alright, Yuki-sama? Are you hurt somewhere?”
Hearing her concerned voice, Yuki was plucked out of his daze, as he realized how roughly he was pulling her.
“Ah…I am sorry…” His weak whisper made Maya even more stressed as both of them came to a halt eventually.
Maya could tell that Yuki was suffering, but more than physically it was something making him feel guilty.
She pulled Yuki slowly toward the side of the path before she urged him to take a seat on the nearby bench. Yuki complied with her request before they sat while facing each other.
Maya took out some tissue paper from her bag before she began wiping his face tenderly.
There were some passersby but they respected their privacy and didn’t pass any comments. The evening sun was providing a beautiful shade to the sky as the two sat in comfortable silence for a good minute
Yuki was able to calm himself down at that minute as he stared at her worried visage and the concern she carried for him.
He still found it a little surprising that this was the same girl who had asked him to become her slave just a few weeks ago.
The silence between them was soon broken as Maya asked once again, “Now, can you tell me what happened?”
This time Yuki didn’t hesitate and told her the truth,
“I…killed Ryan in that last blow.”
“!!!”
Maya’s eyes widened upon hearing those words. She never expected that was the reason for his trouble.
There were a lot of consequences for Yuki to face since this time he hadn’t killed a criminal, but rather a student while sparring.
Leaving the school administration, the Willson family won’t let this matter go easily at all.
Maya, abandoned all her worries for later since she along with Yuki and Shio needed to evacuate as soon as possible.
However, before she could get up, Yuki spoke something completely unexpected once again.
“I revived him soon after, though.”
