With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 41- About us?
The senior professor Kazuya couldn’t help bowing his head to Yuki after the second round of interrogation he had with the boy.
“I deeply apologize for the inconvenience we have caused. Even if you and your two friends have gone through something a student in the tower should never have, we kept you occupied by all these procedures.”
Just like the senior professor, the other instructors and school staff in the room were bowing their heads as well, in shame and regret.
The reason why Yuki, Maya, and Shio were being held up in this place, stems from the fact that all the cameras and other surveillance sources were jammed or rendered useless making it impossible for the teachers to ascertain what happened in the infirmary.
When they arrived all they saw was Yuki kneeling over a dead janitor and Maya in the process of finishing the last infirmary staff. The shocking fact was even after the teachers’ arrival, she didn’t stop before killing the last remaining man.
Kazuya was in charge of the first year and all around the administrator of the first floor. When he got the news that three students(actually only two) slaughtered the tower staff like fodder, he was furious beyond his limit.
After questioning the three separately while utilizing the lie detector, Kazuya got certain about two things.
First, these three students have committed murder today which was still serious for someone so young since killing monsters and humans were entirely different things.
Second, for some reason, someone prominent from outside has been manipulating the administration or maybe higher-ups to bribe the infirmary staff and attack Yuki.
It was disturbing at various degrees. But for Kazuya, it didn’t matter since as of now he found it more important to compensate the three teenagers for the life-threatening situation they had to face.
“Please raise your head, Professor. I won’t be able to ask for compensation in this manner.”
Kazuya raised his brows upon hearing Yuki’s words before he raised his head and nodded in understanding.
If Yuki had been modest here Kazuya would have continued feeling regretful. He wouldn’t be able to revert the lost time but at least he could do something for the kids to stop them from leaving the Tower.
“Professor Kazuya…as from what I know you are the administrator and recruiter of general staff on the first floor right?”
Hearing Yuki’s question, the young blue-haired Professor nodded in assent with confusion evidently marring his face.
Yuki sighed in relief before he extended his demand, “In that case, will you allow someone I refer to work as a school staff…”

After that, they soon exited the administrator’s office with Maya and Shio walking on his either side.
Since it was early in the morning there were very few students around but those who gazed at the trio, wearing bloodied clothes and carrying worn-out expressions, especially Maya, were quite shocked.
There were definitely going to be a lot of rumors soon.
Unbothered by the stares they were receiving, Yuki supported the sluggish Shio on his shoulder toward his cottage.
Maya was hesitant about where she should go since her current relationship with Yuki was hella awkward and highly complicated. She didn’t know whether she should halt in front of Yuki’s residence or keep moving forward.
Thankfully, it was the person in question who helped her sort out this mind-wobbling situation.
“You are not going back to your house yet, Maya. Come with me.”
Yuki held Maya by her wrist before he began walking into his home.
Maya was barely holding her smile being pulled by her lord inside the house where she only dreamed of entering. Yeah, she has gone inside once but at that time she was just focused on her lord and his harsh words.
“Here…rest as much as you want. I will prepare something good for breakfast.” After helping Shio inside the comforter Yuki caressed her small head before mumbling warmly under his breath.
Shio just smiled with a slow ‘hmm’ before she adjusted her sleeping position and while hugging the pillow she drifted into dreamland.
“You should also sleep a little bit Maya.” As he moved toward the table near the bed to pour some water for the girl, he suggested Maya have some rest since she had been restless for the whole night.
“B-But Yuki-sama…you also haven’t rested…please lay down for a bit…” Hearing her timid voice was kind of surprising and delightful to hear.
For the past many years, she had always been cold and indifferent like Yuki was nothing but trash in her eyes. And not to talk about the way she was addressing him.
‘Yuki-sama eh…never thought I would be hearing this from Maya…’ Holding back his amusement he turned to hand the water to the girl.
As Maya received the water she found her shoulders being covered in warmth by her beloved’s hands.
“Listen, Maya…I think you already might have figured out that I possess healing skills as well so any kind of fatigue has long blown away. So don’t stress about me and take a good rest. When you wake up we will have a good chat about…us.”
The water…Maya needed it to tone down the heat her face adopted upon hearing her lord’s words.
Maya didn’t resist the offer to rest for some time, before she curled up beside Shio, maintaining as much distance as she could. But soon a cute yelp was heard from Maya when Shio turned toward her and hugged the struggling girl from behind.
‘Shio and her fondness toward cuddling…’ Yuki chuckled before he took some distance away from the two and went outside the cottage.
He needed to sort out Maya’s situation and get rid of that nosy assistant she had in her house. But before anything Yuki wanted to hear his sister’s voice.
One thing he got ensured about after this recent incident. Not only the Karuizawa family but his own blood-related relatives could also target Yuki or the people close to him, to weaken him.
Yuki wasn’t unaware of the politics going on in the Kurokawa family. Yuki’s growing strength and influence in the Tower surely would not be appreciated by many in the clan.
Dialing the number of his Nee-san Yuki waited. Each ring of the call was sending an anxious pulse down his spine. He knew it was early in the morning and she must be asleep but still…
[Shirazawa Yuki.]
Before Yuki could have said anything he heard an unexpected but familiar voice from the other side.
“Kaede-san?” It was startling to hear the S-rank hunter picking up the call but her following words were even more terrifying.
[Someone attempted to abduct your sister.]
