Episode 22: Being Lively in the Morning is a Good Thing
“…I get why Ayane is waiting for me since she’s my fiancée, but why is Rion here? You have nothing to do with me.”
“What? So, the little sister of your fiancée is a total nobody to you? Huh, interesting. Not like it costs you anything, right? Besides, you’re seriously thinking of making a cute girl like me walk to school?
That’s awful. Someone at my level of cuteness could totally get attacked again on the way, you know? And if that happens, it’s all your fault!”
“H-Hey, Rion! That was way out of line! Apologize to Yuya-san right now!” “Huh? Why? I just stated facts. There’s nothing to apologize for!”
Hmmm… At first glance, Rion seems like the one with the worst attitude. But I didn’t miss Ayane’s “way out of line” remark.
That means Ayane is probably thinking the same thing as Rion—she just isn’t saying it outright.
As someone whose main goal right now is to dodge death flags and stay alive, I actually prefer people like Rion, who say what they think. It’s way better than dealing with someone like Ayane, who hides her true feelings.
“No, it’s fine. It’s good to have energy in the morning. Tanaka.” “Yes, Yuya-sama?” “Take these two to Seijo Academy.”
“Understood.” Then, with the help of one of the nearby female servants, I have Rion—who’s somehow loud even when alone—and her sister Ayane forcibly stuffed into the car.
“H-Hey! What about you?!” “I’ll walk.” “What?! Just get in the car!! This makes me look like the bad guy here—like some mean-spirited rich girl! Nooooo!!”
The car carrying the Hojo sisters starts heading toward Seijo Academy. Rion was yelling something as they drove off, but yeah—being lively in the morning is a good thing.
After seeing them off, I decided to take the bus to school with Misaki.
“Are you sure this is okay?” “About what? As long as you’re with me, that’s enough.”
“Y-Y-You’re right!! Besides, I bet Yuya-sama doesn’t even know how to take the bus properly, so as your exclusive personal attendant, just leave everything to me!!”
…Is it just me, or did that sound like she was implying I’m some clueless rich kid who’s never set foot outside his mansion?
I mean, she’s not entirely wrong, but still—it kinda stings to hear it said so bluntly.
But seeing Misaki’s excited expression made me think that our trip to McDonald’s must have had a positive impact, so I let it slide without making a fuss.

Episode 23: I Feel Like I Might Die of Embarrassment
If there’s one problem, it’s that—though it feels weird to say this myself—Misaki and I are just too good-looking.
And of course, we both have great figures. The result? The reactions we got yesterday at McDonald’s after school.
Even I could tell we were attracting attention, and obviously, I knew it was because of our looks.
Living as a handsome guy now, compared to my past life, has completely changed my perspective—enough to hurt my feelings just a little.
“Stop that!! You’re bothering Yuya-sama!!” “Huh? What does this have to do with you? Oh, so his name is Yuya-sama, huh?”
“Yuya-sama, please shake my hand! Kyaa! He did it!!” “U-Um, could I also…? Ah, thank you so much! I’m never washing this hand again!!”
“Me too!!” “Hey! You girls! Yuya-sama said he’s being bothered, didn’t he?!”
Long story short, the bus was a complete disaster. Since we passed a stop near an all-girls school, the female-to-male ratio was already skewed. But even I hadn’t expected this level of chaos.
I seriously underestimated the boldness of high school girls… “Misaki, it’s fine. A handshake is no big deal. Just sit down before you get hurt.”
“I-I understand… If that’s what Yuya-sama wants, then I have no choice… But I regret my own lack of ability…”
Her frustration was written all over her face. “It’s dangerous, after all…” “Exactly. I don’t mind dealing with this, but if you got hurt because of it, I’d hate that way more.”
“Yuya-sama…! I-I understand. If that’s how you feel… Then I’ll make sure not to get hurt by holding on tight!”
Wait—what? For some reason, Misaki suddenly clings to me. “…Uh? No, that’s even more dangerous. Stop that.” “No.” Thinking this was a safety issue, I told her to let go. But instead, she tightened her grip.
And, of course, because she’s pressed up against me, her, um… chest is definitely making its presence known…
I try my best to focus and not react, but in the process, I accidentally switch to formal speech—making it painfully obvious that I am aware of what’s happening.
But apparently, my flustered response has won over the girls on the bus.
“T-Too precious…” “We have to protect them…” “We better not do anything to ruin this sacred moment…”
For some reason, the entire group of high school girls has shifted from aggressive fangirls to protective spectators.
I feel like I might die of embarrassment. The only saving grace is that Misaki has no idea why they suddenly quieted down.
Please, for the love of all things holy, don’t realize it until we reach Seijo Academy…
As I endure the ride, the bus rocks me along, and I pray for a swift arrival.
