Chapter 16: The Long-Awaited Sleepover Day?
After parting with Tsubaki, Hinata recalled something while walking home.
“I’ve gotten closer to Hinata-san recently. To me, she’s a very kind person, and sometimes I think she’s really cute too.”
Those were the words Tsubaki had said to Utsuho, the student council president.
“…Hehe.”
When Hinata saw Tsubaki being led to the student council room by Utsuho, she naturally grew curious and followed them.
“But still… I didn’t expect them to talk about something like that.”
That she might be bullying Tsubaki.
It was a baseless rumor, and while it caught her off guard, it wasn’t entirely false either—after all, she definitely teased him on the bed. Well, in reality, whenever she had sex with Tsubaki, she would enter such a sweet mode that her self-control would practically vanish.
“I’m glad the misunderstanding was cleared up… Well, even if the student council president had stayed misled, I was happy the moment Tsubaki said all that.”
However, Hinata thought to herself.
Even though it hadn’t even been a month since she got close to Tsubaki, the more time she spent with him, the more irreplaceable their time together became.
What started as a thank-you for letting her stay over, and a reward for honestly admitting her impure motives, had now turned into her wanting simply to be with him.
“I didn’t know I had this side to me.”
Even that kind of self-discovery made Hinata happy.
“And also…”
She then remembered what happened in the gym storage room.
She’d spent a deep, passionate time with Arisa, and as they parted, Tsubaki had invited them over to his house. But Hinata—and even Arisa—understood the words he didn’t say back then.
“Tsubaki-kun didn’t want to be the only one feeling good… I think he wanted us to feel good too.”
“Yeah. I mean, we could’ve gone all the way if we really wanted to, but it was school, and time was limited… So maybe Tsubaki thought he didn’t want to be the only one satisfied.”
They talked about that on the way back from the gym storage. Of course, they realized it.
They were the ones who called him out, and they were only doing what naturally followed from wanting to be near him. He didn’t have to worry about it, and yet he still cared and wanted to do something for them. That was one of the reasons they liked him.
“Well then, I’ll make sure he feels really good. Of course, I’ll have to make Tsubaki feel good too.”
When Hinata thought about the weekend, she couldn’t help but smile. She could easily imagine Arisa feeling the same way.
“…?”
She was almost home… and then she saw Kaito.
He smiled at Hinata but quickly looked away, his gaze dropping.
(What’s he doing?)
Whether it was his smile or his downcast look, nothing about Kaito stirred Hinata’s heart.
So she pulled out a candy from her pocket—the same kind she had given to Tsubaki—and popped it into her mouth. Not caring at all, she walked past Kaito… but his voice shook her eardrum.
“Hinata!”
“……….”
He called out, and she stopped walking.
“What?”
“…Can’t we… try again?”
“Try again?”
Try again—as in, as lovers.
She looked at him, thinking, Why now? Kaito was looking at her with a pathetic, pleading gaze.
Even after seeing that, Hinata still felt nothing in her heart.
“You dumped me one-sidedly, and now you’re saying this? You believed what others said, got disappointed seeing how I’ve changed, didn’t listen to a single word I said, and left.”
She could remember it all clearly.
She had originally planned to change her style when she entered high school. She hit it off with Arisa, who had been a gyaru from the start, and took some advice from her to change herself.
But Kaito didn’t really like the change in her appearance.
Even so, they stayed together, until one day he accused her of cheating behind his back and claimed she changed her look to suit some other guy’s preferences. That’s how they broke up.
(Sigh… I remembered something annoying. But honestly, the reason I don’t care at all anymore… is probably thanks to Tsubaki. Even if I hadn’t met Tsubaki, I still wouldn’t care about Kaito anymore.)
Even if she remembered those annoying times, her moments with Tsubaki made her forget everything.
She never expected to fall so deeply for someone younger, but that’s why life is full of surprises. Hinata chuckled.
“I… I was overwhelmed too. We went to different high schools, and I heard you’d changed, and then—”
“Hmm, okay. That’s enough. Talking any more won’t change anything.”
She had no intention of changing anything. With that, Hinata started walking again, but then stopped one last time and looked back.
“I don’t get involved with other guys when I’m in a relationship. There are girls who get turned on by that kind of forbidden thrill, but at the very least, I don’t want to do something so disloyal.”
“…So you really weren’t cheating.”
“Of course not. It wasn’t a moment of weakness, or a one-time mistake… That’s why I’m doing whatever I want now—because I’m not your girlfriend. I’m having sex with people I like, and I even kissed someone at school today.”
“—!”
When she laid it all out like that, Kaito bit his lip.
She wondered if she had gone too far. But even so, this was payback for someone who had stomped all over her feelings since they were kids.
“Well then, see ya.”
Without waiting for a response, Hinata finally walked away from Kaito.
“Goodbye… my first love.”
He probably didn’t hear her.
Even if he had, it didn’t matter. That one line made everything clear. With those words, Hinata severed her memories with Kaito completely.
At last, it was the long-awaited Friday.
His mom wouldn’t be home until tomorrow night, and today, Hinata-san and Arisa-san were coming over for a sleepover… Of course he felt more excited and nervous than lonely.
“Alright!”
The first thing he did when he got home was a quick cleanup and took out the trash.
He had meant to take the trash out in the morning, but overslept a little and didn’t have time.
“We’ll head over after shopping.”
“It’s three of us, so how about a hot pot? I’ll bring the ingredients.”
Those messages had arrived about thirty minutes ago.
“Just a bit more…”
He felt like a kid who couldn’t wait, and he felt embarrassed for being so restless.
Unable to sit still, he walked around the living room, and when the intercom rang, he quickly headed to the entrance.
When he opened the door, the two he’d been waiting for were standing there.
“Hey, Tsubaki.”
“We’re here~♪”
Unlike their usual school uniforms, Hinata-san and Arisa-san were wearing casual clothes.
Since it was warm, both of them were dressed lightly. Hinata-san wore a shoulder-revealing top that showed off her cleavage—it was super sexy—but Arisa-san’s outfit was even more extreme.
She wore a crop top with thin, flimsy straps—something he’d only seen in anime or manga.
On top of that, both were in hot pants. Their soft, curvy thighs and exposed flesh were incredibly arousing.
“Sexy… Ah.”
“A little too honest, aren’t you?”
“It’s fine. We were trying to turn heads.”
The two of them giggled, and he couldn’t help but wonder what people in the shopping street thought when they saw these two.
“Let me carry your bags.”
“Thanks.”
“Thanks~”
And with that, the weekend he would spend with the two of them began.
