Chapter 26: Act Before Wetting Your Pants
“Soma, I got you some water.” “Thanks.”
After finishing the ride, my legs were trembling so much that Kana had to support me as we made our way to a nearby bench to sit down.
I should’ve already shaken off the fear, but my legs wouldn’t move properly.
I was shaking so much that walking was out of the question, and I even had Kana go buy water for me.
As her boyfriend, as a man, it was downright pathetic. I took a sip of water and let out a sigh—a mix of relief from the fear and the emptiness of my own inadequacy.
“How are you feeling? Calmed down?” Kana peered into my face, seemingly checking on me.
“I think I’m better than before.” “Your color’s coming back too.”
“Still, I’d like to rest a bit more. I’m not fully recovered yet.” If I started walking now, I’d have to rely on Kana for a while longer. That’d not only be a burden on her but also completely shatter my pride.
“Just sitting here like this is so much fun for me.” “Same here.” As Kana gently leaned her head on my shoulder, I rested my head against hers.
Even this moment was an unmistakable part of our date.
Hearing the cheerful laughter of passersby and the background music of the park, sitting on a bench holding hands—it was enough to make us happy.
But that peaceful moment didn’t last long. “Oh, wait right here for a second!”
Suddenly, Kana seemed to think of something, got up, and ran off somewhere.
What could she be in such a hurry for? If it were the restroom, she could’ve just told me, and I would’ve gone with her.
Letting her walk alone in a crowd like this is far too risky. If she gets hit again, there might not be anyone to help this time.
Even without me around, Kana stands out like a beacon—a stunning beauty who draws attention wherever she goes.
I just hope she hasn’t run into any trouble… As I sat slumped on the bench, worrying about her, Kana returned a few minutes later, panting heavily.
“Sorry to keep you waiting!” “You’ve got a lot of stuff. You didn’t need to run back, though.”
“I figured it’d be tough for you to stand in line, so I bought all this! And I ran back because someone started calling out to me on the way!”
So she almost gets hit on. Well, if a gorgeous girl like Kana is wandering around a park alone, it’s no wonder guys would try to talk to her.
After all, she’s cute, my girlfriend, and the kind of beauty anyone would envy.
Keeping that in mind, I decided I’d stick with Kana as much as possible no matter the situation.
I don’t want any regrets later. “From now on, let’s stick together, okay? I’d hate for you to get hit on.”
It might sound like I’m trying to restrict her movements, but I just wanted to convey how worried I was.
“Yeah, you’re right. I feel safer when you’re around too.” Rather than having Kana get hit on and me having to step in—only to end up wetting my pants again—both of us should stick together from the start.
I never want to feel that gross sensation between my legs again.
