“See! You made things awkward with what you said, sis!” Kana grumbled, biting into her fried chicken and turning her face away.

“Ahh, I just can’t help but tease my cute little sister,” Minase replied mischievously.

“If you do it again, I’ll expose your true self at school. I know plenty of your weaknesses,” Kana warned, her eyes narrowing.

“Please, don’t do that! I’d have no place at school if you do,” Minase said seriously.

“If you want me to stop, then you need to stop teasing us first,” Kana shot back.

“That’s a bit…”

“Well, if you want, I’ll just post this on Instagram and be done with it,” Kana said, pulling out her phone.

She opened Instagram and was about to upload a video of Minase from the kitchen, where she was making a silly face while cooking. The caption read, “It’s not good to fake your personality, right?”

There was no way Minase wanted this video to go public. Anyone would be embarrassed if their silly moments were shared with friends, but for someone like Minase, it would be a disaster. If it got out, the entire school would be talking about it for at least a month.

“Alright, alright… I promise I won’t tease you anymore, so please put that dangerous weapon down,” Minase conceded, apologizing as she carefully lowered Kana’s phone.

“I’m glad you understand. I don’t mind hanging out with you, but I just don’t want to be made fun of,” Kana said.

“Oh, so it’s okay to be together?” Minase asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Of course, I don’t want us to suddenly be separated either,” Kana admitted.

“Mmmm~! I love you, Kana! The fact that you’re a bit of a tsundere is so cute!” Minase said, grinning as she rubbed her face against Kana’s cheek.

The two were as close as ever, and it was clear that Kana genuinely wanted to be with her sister. Even though Kana now had a boyfriend, her bond with her sister was still unshakable.

Many people with new partners tend to ditch friends or even skip work and study sessions just to spend time with their significant other, but Kana wasn’t like that. No matter how much she loved her boyfriend, it seemed she couldn’t compete with the bond she shared with her sister.

As for me, I was okay with them being close, but if Kana clung to me all the time, it would be troublesome. Love could get overwhelming, and I needed some personal time as well.

“So, what are we doing after school today?” Minase asked, changing the subject.

“I’m in the mood for karaoke,” I replied.

“If sis comes, just don’t hog the mic!” Kana warned.

“Oh, when I get the mic, I can’t help but get really into it!” Minase laughed.

“Well, you probably won’t be able to do that. Souma’s really good at singing,” Kana teased.

“Oh? Now that sounds promising,” Minase said, her eyes lighting up.

“You’re probably better at singing than I am, Kana,” I said.

“R-really?” Kana stammered, a little unsure.

The three of us enjoyed our meal together, chatting and laughing. It was truly a fun time. However, little did we know, someone was watching us from the gap in the door, eyeing us with envy.
