“It’s so refreshing to walk to school together,” Kana said cheerfully.

“It feels great, like I’m winning at life,” Minase added, walking happily ahead of us.

A few days after the Wateruchi sisters took me home.

The weekend was over, and Kana and I were acting like a proper couple, meeting at the station and walking to school together.

At the beginning of the week, I would usually feel down, reluctant to leave the house and dreading going to school. But today was different.

When I woke up and left the house, everything felt refreshing.

I realized that having a girlfriend really makes life more enjoyable from the moment I woke up this morning.

Also, the fact that my underwear was dry that day was keeping my emotional balance intact.

“And besides, you have your dependable boyfriend next to you,” Minase teased.

“Yeah… I guess,” Kana muttered, slightly embarrassed.

“Okay, cute! I just had to capture that face!” Minase said, snapping a photo of Kana’s blushing face with her phone.

Kana quickly tried to grab Minase’s phone, but the two sisters laughed.

They were so close and in sync. It made sense that they walked to school together every day.

I could imagine how sad Minase would be if her sister suddenly started spending all her time with her boyfriend.

As we continued walking, more and more students dressed in the same school uniform appeared. Suddenly, Minase fell silent.

I found it strange, but before I could ask, Kana whispered to me, “Big sis sticks to her character.”

Oh, right.

I had forgotten that at school, Minase was the demure type. She had suddenly switched her expression so smoothly that I almost thought she had multiple personalities… that was close.

“Well, see you at lunch, Kana. Take care, Souma-san,” Minase said, giving us a light bow as we arrived at the school gate, then heading to her locker.

“Now that I think about it, she’s really thorough with it,” Kana said with a sigh.

“She could probably be an actress with how well she plays her character,” Kana added.

I sighed, thinking back to when I first met Minase. If it weren’t for the whole pickup incident, I would’ve only ever seen her in that demure school persona.

Seeing her real self now made her “proper” side seem a bit unnatural.

But, at school, the version of Minase that guys like is the quiet, demure one. The chatterbox, sister-loving Minase isn’t the one they fall for.

I wondered how the boys who liked her would react if they knew her true nature.

In a way, it felt a little sad, like they were being tricked.
