When I Brought The Lost Little Girl To Her House, The One Who Came Out Of The Front Door Was The Most Beautiful Girl In The Grade. - Chapter 90
The moment I entered the classroom, a large group of new classmates swarmed around Ayano. Well, I knew this would happen.
Ayano was taken away by the crowd, and I was left alone.
“Oh my, having a boyfriend with such a low presence must be tough,” a familiar voice teased.
“Is that you, Mimura? We’re in the same class, huh?”
“Ha, that’s harsh… it’s just between you and me.”
“I only realized you were here when we entered the classroom.”
“Both of you are so obsessed with her, I can’t stand it.”
They sounded irritated and envious, just like characters from an anime biting handkerchiefs out of frustration.
“Seriously, it’s like he’d go anywhere with her.”
“My bad, you and Souta are important too.”
“But saying that now, it’s too late, you know.”
I decided not to be completely honest with Mimura. However, as Mimura pointed out, once I found out Ayano and I were in the same class, I hadn’t paid much attention to who else was in the class or whether I knew anyone else.
Looking around, I noticed that Shirasaka had ended up in a different class, which was a bit of a relief. It was strange; not long ago, I would have been relieved to be in a different class from Ayano, but now I felt differently.
“I’m… tired,” I sighed.
Ayano returned, looking a bit worn out. Even Ayano, who was usually full of energy, seemed to be affected. I couldn’t help but wonder how chaotic it had been if even she was feeling this way. If I had been subjected to the same treatment, I wondered if I would have made it out alive.
“Good job,” I said to Ayano.
“It was tough… But just being in the same class as you makes all the exhaustion disappear!” she replied enthusiastically.
“Well, same here,” I smiled.
“You’re just exhausted from playing games too much,” Ayano said.
When I pretended to pout and turned away, I noticed that not only Mimura and Souta but also the rest of the class were looking at us. Some went to buy coffee while others realized that Ayano and I were dating, causing their expressions to change.
“Are you sure this class will be okay?” I asked.
Mimura stared at me and replied, “You should try to endure it.”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Being oblivious is kind of scary. Stop all the lovey-dovey stuff.”
I wondered if we had really been that obvious.
“Did we overdo it?” I asked.
“Yeah, you did.”
I looked at Ayano, who was also smiling awkwardly and tilting her head. Ayano probably thought this was normal, so she didn’t find it strange.
“Alright, I’ll really be careful at school,” I assured her.
But for some reason, Ayano didn’t seem entirely convinced.
“Even though we finally got into the same class…” she muttered.
I heard her clearly, and I wanted to hug her right then and there. I couldn’t hug her, but I could at least pat her head. As I extended my right hand to do so, I noticed that Mimura was watching my every move.
“Are you trying to make more enemies right at the beginning of the school year?” Mimura asked with a smirk.
Unfortunately, I had, but I had Ayano on my side, so I didn’t mind.
“Even if I make more enemies, Ayano’s on my side,” I replied with pride.
Mimura clenched his fists and muttered, “Damn it!”
Then he continued, “I’m on your side too!”
“What’s gotten into you today?” I asked in amusement.
I looked at Souta, who seemed to have given up on the situation. He was already fed up with Mimura.
“Because I got told the same thing, and I think we’ll be hearing it all day,” Souta sighed.
Mimura’s voice echoed through the classroom as he shouted, “Stop being so clear about it!
