When I Brought The Lost Little Girl To Her House, The One Who Came Out Of The Front Door Was The Most Beautiful Girl In The Grade. - Chapter 3
After finishing our meal, I sit on the chair and take a sip of the coffee Shirakawa kindly poured for me, while watching a variety show on TV.
Then, Shirakawa sits in front of me, places her coffee mug on the table with a soft clink, and takes a deep breath.
“Cough, so, where was she when she got lost?”
“Um… She was standing alone in the bicycle parking lot near the park.”
“I see…”
Though her expression seemed somewhat relieved, to me, it appeared tinged with sadness.
As for Shirakawa’s little sister, she must have become sleepy after eating and is now sleeping soundly on the living room sofa.
I can’t help but laugh at how carefree she is. However, seeing her like that makes me think, “It’s peaceful,” and I chuckle.
Suddenly, Shirakawa lowers her head so much that it almost touches the table.
Honestly, I was surprised by what she was doing all of a sudden. Her overwhelming sense of apology made me want her to stop immediately.
“Thank you. Thank you so much.”
“Oh, you don’t have to go that far…”
“No, if anything were to happen to my sister, I… I’d be such a useless big sister.”
Hearing that, I realized that she does indeed have the responsibility of being an older sister. But there was one thing I thought was different.
“You’re not a useless big sister. You’re a very admirable one, right, Shirakawa?”
Shirakawa isn’t a useless big sister. She’s willing to lower her head this much out of concern for her little sister. She’s a remarkable big sister, isn’t she?
“Y..es par..k…”
“Fufu, what was that?”
Shirakawa’s little sister mumbles in a half-asleep state, unable to articulate her words properly.
Shirakawa, who smiled wryly, looks very beautiful. With her captivating large eyes, lustrous skin, slightly flushed cheeks, and lips…
I won’t hide it. At that moment, I was captivated by Ayano Shirakawa. Well, who wouldn’t be? The most beautiful girl in our year just smiled – there’s no way you wouldn’t be captivated by that.
“Do you have any siblings, Kuroda-kun?”
“Yeah, I have one older sister.”
Upon hearing this, Shirakawa looked surprised and glanced at me. What’s wrong? Did she find it strange that I have siblings?
“What’s the matter? Is something strange?”
“Well, I always thought you were the oldest.”
“Me? No way… I’m not that mature.”
“But you get along really well with my younger sister…”
So that’s why she assumed I was the oldest… I’ve heard that people with younger siblings often act like the eldest, but is that really true?
Well, I do think I get along well with her younger sister. But lately, I’ve come to realize that it’s not just getting along, she might be taking advantage of me.
“Fufu~, it’s refreshing to talk about this kind of stuff.”
“Is that so? Don’t you talk about it with your friends?”
“Occasionally, but not so often, and besides, I don’t have these kinds of conversations with boys.”
She might misunderstand me. Such casual words can lead to sad consequences for guys in the world. Though I couldn’t speak for all guys as their representative.
After finishing what I came to do, I left Shirakawa’s house. I never expected to be treated to a meal as well.
Or rather, who could have predicted such a thing? If someone could, they’d be better off becoming a prophet or something.
With such thoughts in mind, I savored the afterglow of my time at Shirakawa’s house until I reached my own home.
