When I Brought The Lost Little Girl To Her House, The One Who Came Out Of The Front Door Was The Most Beautiful Girl In The Grade. - Chapter 15
The second term started today.
It’s a very gloomy morning. I just idly play with my phone until it’s time to leave, trying to kill time.
However, is it just my imagination? Time seems to pass quickly at moments like these.
“Yuusei! You’ll be late for school if you don’t hurry, you know?”
“Yeah, I know.”
With a little effort, I get up, put on my backpack, and head to school.
It’s been a while since I wore my school uniform and walked this familiar route, but for some reason, it doesn’t lift my spirits. The scenery is so familiar that it doesn’t bring any excitement.

After arriving at school, I took my seat in the second row, closer to the front, based on the seating arrangement by attendance number.
“Yuusei~ You still seem eager to go home as always,” called out Mimura as he flew over to my desk.
“Well, you’re the same way, aren’t you? Wanting to go home too?” I replied.
We chatted about various things like the summer vacation assignments, trips, the latest video game news, and wanting girlfriends, and the atmosphere livened up.
The closing ceremony was held in the gym with all the students, despite it still being hot outside. Perhaps the teachers had their reasons, but I really wanted it to be held in the cool classrooms.
After the closing ceremony, on our way back to the classroom, Mimura looked like he had seen a ghost.
“What’s wrong, Mimura?”
“She’s not here.”
“Huh? Who’s not here?”
“Shirakawa-san! I asked someone from her class, and they said she’s absent, probably due to feeling unwell…”
“Is that so…”
Did Shirayuki catch a cold? No, it’s also not unlikely that it could be Shirayuki’s little sister.
I should send a message just in case.
After the closing ceremony and homeroom were over, I sent a message to Shirakawa saying, “Are you okay?”
Suddenly, she called me back.
“Hel-hello?”
“Hello~ Worried about me?”
“Well, not really… I mean, not at all.”
It was too embarrassing to be honest.
“You’re not being honest~”
Even over the phone, she sounded a bit hoarse. I could hear her sniffle and cough every now and then.
“So, are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m… not… fine…”
“Huh? Didn’t you just say you were fine?”
“I didn’t say that! I said I’m… not… fine!”
I could’ve sworn I heard her say she was fine, but she was speaking loudly, so I had to back down.
It’s not good to strain a sick person, after all.
“Alright then, is there anything you need?”
“Hmm, maybe some energy drink?”
Energy drink, huh… “Okay, I’ll bring some later,” I replied and hung up.
This is just a get-well visit, and it’s also a chance to ask about the elementary school student Tada Ayano.
