We are pretending....right? - Chapter 6- Conditions for dating~2!
For more than ten seconds, Sumire wasn’t able to comprehend whether she heard Sou’s immediate response right or not.
But however she thought about it, there was no other way to put the meaning behind it that Sou just declined her condition signifying that he may attack her in the name of a pretended relationship. And the way he outrightly rejected the condition said how sure he was about his future actions.
While maintaining her voice to keep it to the notch, Sumire asked with a small crease on her brows.
“You do know that I won’t like to give my ‘firsts’ to someone whom I don’t love, right? Or am I giving some kind of impression that I would be an easy girl to play with? If you a-”
“No, I don’t think of Sumire-san as an easy woman. Far from it, to be honest. And the reason I rejected your condition was not because of myself rather it will be you who would cross the boundary.”
Sumire was relieved to hear his words which on the surface seemed genuine but his following statement made her blank once again, as a subconscious “Haaa?” left her lips.
On the other side, Sou just shrugged like he just stated a matter of fact as he continued to sip on his drink like there was nothing to be surprised about.
His demeanor was not someone who was joking, rather it seemed he was too damn confident in himself that he would more or less seduce Sumire to partake in some vulgar activities. That was what Sumire presumed which brought a severe twitch to her thin brows.
“Narcissist or should I say, a fool who is overwhelmed by some praises he receives here and there.”
The words were offensive but Sou didn’t mind since he was getting to see such a reaction from Sumire. Her replies to his intentionally played words always hit the mark but what he said right now was no joke either.
Leaning forward he put the cup on the table with his elbow resting on either side. With his hazelnut eyes resting on her deep blue orbs, Sou spoke his words in a rather hushed tone this time.
“I may be able to control myself but are you sure about yourself?”
His deep voice which seemed extra close when he spoke in such a manner made Sumire taken aback and not talk about his problematic gaze which was making it difficult for her, where to look at.
In normal circumstances, Sumire might have retaliated or brushed off the natter but hearing his words made her subconsciously look away as in a haste she sipped through her straw before realizing that she had finished her drink.
She had no idea why she was reacting in such a way when he was just teasing her, but she knew there would be no possible way for her to breach the boundaries she herself put around her.
“I still have my first condition and if I or you breached our limits then thereafter this relationship would be dissolved.”
Seeing the little seriousness in her voice, Sou didn’t try to tease her anymore and nodded in affirmation.
“Second will be dating. For sure we have to go on dates once in a while to make this relationship seem real. So on those occasions, all the expenses will be divided in two in private at the end of the day, and during the date, you will spend on things, got it?”
Sumire didn’t want to impose on him but since there were many things to spend on a girlfriend, she wanted Sou to have a public image and in private she will adjust the account.
Sou was slightly surprised since he never thought this could also be a condition of hers and also the way she dictated it, it seemed Sumire wanted no loophole at all in their fake relationship.
He had no qualms with her condition so he nodded once again.
“Third would be, once per month forcible demand day for both of us.”
“That sounds tempting. Please elaborate.”
Sumire glared at the man as she coughed twice and began to explain her words in a more detailed manner so she doesn’t let any misunderstanding pass through.
“Once every month, you and I will get a chance to ask the other to do something and the other would not be able to reject. Like if I don’t want you to be somewhere you won’t go there and vice versa. It goes without saying, that the demand would be implemented only if the condition isn’t harming the other party and also no sexual involvement in the matter. You understand?”
Now Sou was a lot surprised since he had no clue why Sumire brought up such a point that would surely be going to bite her in the end. Taking out the sexual part, he can ask things that Sumire definitely wouldn’t like. But Sou wasn’t a Saint to give her some piece of his mind and lose this opportunity.
“I accept.”
“Then that’s that.”
Sumire leaned back in her seat as she finished her words. She has thought about the condition she needs to bring up first if she was to initiate her relationship with Sou. She had things in mind where she knows she would require Sou’s presence even if he doesn’t like it. That was why she thought about the third condition rather carefully before proposing.
Sou was silent for some moments before he tilted his head and asked in an uncertain tone.
“And the cliche ‘not falling in love’ condition?”
Sumire looked at him with a deadpan expression as she replied in a near-monotonous tone.
“Those things happen only in shoujo manga, so there’s no point making a deal out of it.”
Sou raised his brows as he nodded his head but soon a small smile stretched his lips with his chin resting on his fist further down on the table, he asked in a whispering tone.
“Then…would it be alright falling in love with Sumire-san….?”
