We are pretending....right? - Chapter 7- Change in plans?
*BAM*
“Huff…Huff…”
Slamming the door on her back, Sumire huffed with an exasperated look on her face as she tried to calm her nerves. But just as she remembered how easily Soul played with her feelings by joking around at every opportunity, Sumire wanted to punch something right at the moment.
“Onne-can? What are you doin’?”
Walking out with a perplexed expression was Sumire’s younger brother Ryuuske who heard the front door being slammed so violently. And looking at his sister’s face, he understood that it was not the wind that caused such a slam.
Sumire sighed once again and while exchanging her shoes she replied in a tired tone, “Nothing. I will make dinner in a bit.”
Ryuuske tilted his head as he saw her naturally clueless sister behaving rather suspiciously today but soon he shrugged it off and went back to watch the game on TV.

‘So…is it okay for me to fall for Sumire-san?”
Sumire once again was reminded of those words which threw her into a state of panic and brought her to her feet before she threw curses at Shou who was clearly amused by her reaction and walked away.
Throwing herself onto the bed, Sumire felt in a dilemma about whether her decision of dating Sou was good or not. She knew there was no other option rather than to pretend dating him but still what he said today… what if he truly meant it?
Sou is indeed handsome and considerate which Sumire has witnessed the previous two times she was with him. He always maintained his distance from her and only joked verbally, never trying to seek any skinship which gave Sumire a good impression of the boy and grew a little trust toward him.
But that’s that. If Sumire was to ask that did she like Sou or would accept his confession if he suddenly comes up with a proposal, then Sumire was not new to her own personality which would judge Sou as every boy out there who falls for appearance. She likes behavior and all, but not to the point where she would begin dating him for real.
Not only Sou, but Sumire also had no intention of dating anyone until she doesn’t naturally fall in love with them.
‘But…he didn’t sound serious about it…so…’
Sumire intentionally or not was trying to convince herself that Sou didn’t mean what he said in the cafe and that she was just overthinking things. Well, it was surprising in itself since Sumire generally doesn’t think deeply this much about anyone except for those close to her.
‘Welp no point dwe-hmm?”
She was about to shrug off the useless worries away when she saw her phone screen lighting up, signifying she received a text. Sumire expected it from being Akari but surprisingly it was from the newest contact she has saved.
Sou : [ I apologize if my words have offended you in any way. I just sometimes blurt whatever comes to my mind.]
Sumire was taken aback by such a message from the same person who was not getting tired of making fun of her half an hour ago.
‘Is it what it calls to have double personalities..?’
Sumire has heard that some people have entirely different dispositions in virtual life and practical life. She might not be like that but that doesn’t mean she was judging Sou’s words as fake as she replied politely as well.
Me: [ Likewise, I am sorry for the rude words I spoke today. I hope we can get along from here on.]
In agitation, Sumire behaved completely unladylike. She admits that she was pissed and wanted to get back at him somehow but still despite not being acquainted for more than two days, Sumire has been very rude toward Sou.
She was fidgeting with her phone when she saw the other party was again typing which made her not close the app despite she soon had to cook dinner.
She slowly sat up on her bed when she received another text from Sou.
Sou: [ You are replying to me then I assume you reached your home.]
Me: [Yes, just now. What about you?]
Sou: [ Me as well. And since you just arrived I won’t hold you for long. I just wanted to apologize and inform you somethng.]
Sumire tilted her head in confusion and texted back, “Inform? What about?”
This time the replying didn’t come right after at which Sumire checked her internet connection and found everything was okay. But soon she found Sou was typing which made her settle down as she patiently awaited this sudden information.
But she never expected the words would be this abrupt for her to handle.
Sou:[ Let’s walk to school, together tomorrow.]
———————————————————————
In a faraway apartment flat, Sou clutched the phone from which he sent Sumire the last message as he didn’t want to see what she was going to reply to his suggestion about going to school together.
He knew what type of girl Sumire is and if not for him being a little imposing, he knew she would never break the wall between them. He first wanted to take things slowly but after he saw how someone nobody behaved toward Sumire in the morning, Sou was not ready to keep things lowkey like he previously planned.
Thinking about the day he spent with Sumire, a smile broke out on his lips as Sou muttered in a voice that only he could have heard.
“Pretended relationship huh…let’s see for how long…”
