But I really regretted it after I learned the feeling of love

“Kaito, you’re probably bored staying at home all the time, so why don’t we go out together next Saturday?”

I was spending time with Yuki-nee, who came to my room before a university lecture, and she suddenly suggested something like that. 

Come to think of it, recently I’ve only been out to see a psychiatrist.

I felt guilty about going out and playing while I was absent from school, but I remembered that my doctor told me that I could spend my time doing whatever I wanted, so I accepted the proposal.

“You’re right. I should go out once in a while.”

“Okay, we’ll talk more about it in LIME. Well, I have a fourth period lecture, so I better get going.”

“I didn’t notice it was that time already.”

When I saw Yuki-nee off at the door, I started doing what I liked as usual. 

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with painting, so I’m really into it.

I was free to draw whatever I wanted, but for some reason my family and Yuki-nee didn’t like it. 

I don’t understand it at all, but it seems like the drawings are somehow creepy and make them emotionally unstable just by looking at them.

However, it was quite well received by Ellen, so I think it’s simply a matter of taste. 

I was drawing while thinking about that today, but it seemed that I had become too absorbed in it, and before I knew it, it was time for Ellen to come.

“Hello, Kaito-kun. You were drawing again today, weren’t you?”

“Yeah, drawing is so much fun.”

After that, I had a friendly conversation with Ellen for a while, but I remembered the promise I made with Yuki-nee earlier.

“Speaking of which, this Saturday, I have some business to go out, so I haven’t won’t be home.”

“Is that day the hospital appointment?”

Apparently, even Ellen seemed to have a perception that I don’t go out except to the hospital. 

I immediately started to clear up the misunderstanding.

“No, it’s not the hospital, but Yuki-nee invited me to go hang out somewhere.”

“… I see. I think it’s a good change to go out and play once in a while, so have fun.”

Hearing my words, Ellen fell silent for a moment and became expressionless, but immediately answered with a smile as if nothing had happened.

Today, Saturday, I came to Minato Mirai in Yokohama with Yuki-nee. 

After eating lunch at the Red-Brick Warehouse, we are now playing at the Yokohama Cosmoland amusement park. (TL/n: the Red Brick Warehouse was an old warehouse which was turned into a huge mall, I was confused too when I first read it)

“After all, amusement parks are fun. Don’t you think so too, Kaito?”

“Yeah, it’s definitely fun.”

Yuki-nee is usually cool, but after arriving at Yokohama Cosmoland, her excitement was unusually high, and she seemed like a different person.

Seeing Yuki-nee reading at the pamphlet and looking at the next ride, her eyes were twinkling like a child, she must have been really looking forward to coming here.

After that, we enjoyed thrilling attractions such as roller coasters, water rides, and buffets, as well as loose attractions such as go-karts and swan boats.

Time flew by in a blink of an eye, and before I knew it, it was getting pretty dark. 

Yuki-nee, who seems to have checked the time on her smartphone, spoke with a reluctant look on her face.

“… Considering the time to go home, the next attraction is likely to be the last.”

“Then let’s go to the Ferris wheel as promised.”

We discussed and decided that the last attraction would be the Ferris wheel, so we started heading to the platform.

　As we walk in the direction of the destination, the Ferris wheel comes into our field of vision, but it’s at a level where you can see that it’s extremely huge even from a distance.

“After all, it’s really big when you see it up close.”

“The Ferris wheel here is 112.5m and is a symbol of Yokohama.”

Yuki-nee, who heard my words, said so with a proud face. 

After walking for a while, we arrived in front of the Ferris wheel, but I could see quite a few people lined up.

“Wow, that’s a loooong line up.”

“But it seems that the wait will be about 15 minutes, so please be patient.”

“… It’s true, the waiting time is much shorter than roller coasters.”

Thanks to that, we just had a little chat and our turn soon came around. When you get on the gondola according to the staff’s instructions, it will slowly start going up.

“Ah, Kaito. Isn’t that the first Viking you ever rode?”

“I can see roller coasters, coffee cups, and swan boat ponds over there.”

“It looks different when you look at it from above.”

As we were looking outside, various attractions caught our eye, so the two of us got excited looking at the outside from the Ferris wheel.

However, when the ferris wheel was about to reach the top, Yuki-nee fell silent. As I began to be perplexed by the sudden turn of events, Yuki-nee made a determined face.

“Hey, Kaito. Do you remember what you confessed to me when you were in elementary school?”

“… Oh, I remember it clearly.”

It was a confession to my first love. Even if I tried to forget it, I couldn’t forget it.

“At that time, I didn’t really understand the feeling of love, so I refused Kaito’s confession.”

I had always thought that I had been rejected back then because I wasn’t part of Yuki-nee’s love life, but it seems I was wrong.

“But once I learned the feeling of love, I really regretted it.

“Does that mean!?”

“Yes, apparently I’ve been in love with Kaito for a long time.”

The words from Yuki-nee are unmistakably a confession of love to me.

“I know you suffered so much that you got sick because of being dumped by me, so I won’t ask you to give me an answer right away.”

Yuki-nee had a relieved expression on her face now that she had confessed her feelings which she had been hiding until now.
