Traveling With a Beautiful Girl - Chapter 6: Daily Clipping And Video Editing
“Well, let’s get started.”
Even though I’ve run away from home and the environment has changed, I can’t break my routine.
A single room in a business hotel. I boot up the laptop I brought from home and open the browser.
I click on a certain YouTuber’s channel— “Yoshi Yoshi Yoshi.”
“Yoshi Yoshi Yoshi” is a YouTuber with the concept of “Praising the listeners!” who gives positive answers to every question that comes in during the live broadcast.
I immediately start the latest video.
[Being alive is amazing! Hello! This is Yoshi from Yoshi Yoshi Yoshi!]
The video begins with an energetic greeting.
[Alright, today I’ll read your questions! ‘Um, ever since I was a kid, I’ve been clumsy, despised by my parents as stupid and dumb, and constantly yelled at by teachers for being at the bottom of my class in middle and high school. Even as a working adult, I’ve been continuously called incompetent by those around me. The other day, I accidentally shredded an important document by mistaking the shredder for the copier. There’s no point in living as an incompetent person like me, right?’ No, just being alive is amazing! It’s okay! There’s no such thing as an incompetent person in the world, everyone excels at something! You’re just not in the right place to utilize your talents! You’re probably tired right now, so take a little break, and when you’re feeling better, try changing your environment!]
So, it’s a channel where they just keep praising you like this.
In these stressful times, the broadcasting style of positively affirming any question seems to be in demand, with over a million subscribers.
Yoshi’s channel is also the source of my travel expenses for this trip.
As a YouTuber, advertising revenue comes in based on the number of views.
I download Yoshi’s videos, edit them, and then re-upload them to my own channel to earn revenue.
“… I’m sure I’d be more successful if I pursued this direction.”
I mutter while editing Yoshi’s video.
Recalling the argument with my parents just a few hours ago, the sound of my typing on the keyboard grew louder.
“… Alright, done.”
I finished posting today’s video and scheduled tomorrow’s video before closing the PC.
Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep.
It seems that I was quite exhausted.
