The Tale of the Redeeming Villain - Chapter 50- After your death
Charlotte’s father was rather a brilliant sculptor. He used to live with his family in a small town, so his popularity was limited, and his earnings were quite low.
Despite working three jobs, he made some time for his hobby and designed statues and antiques in his free time.
Charlotte admired her father for his hard work and his dedication. He held the determination to never stop progressing and regardless of whatever the situation was, he always continued to look forward.
Until a certain trader appeared in their life.
Charlotte still remembered the first day she met Blake. He came there with his people in a fancy carriage and only stopped there because the carriage wheel was damaged.
When his eyes landed on the sculptures, he found a business opportunity.
Charlotte’s father was not looking to make any deal, however, Blake was so good at convincing, using his life problems and the potential Charlotte’s father has asked the baits, Blake someone convinced him.
The deal was made and Blake purchased all the sculptures by paying ten percent of the total amount.
He gave them the contract which assured Charlotte and her family that Blake wouldn’t betray them.
However, he never paid the rest, saying that the sculptures were made from stolen ideas. And due to some weird clause, he showed, Charlotte’s father had to pay thirty gold coins to Blake for tricking him.
After that day, Charlotte’s father never designed any statue and completely abandoned his hobby.
“Haah…I am evil, no?” Standing by the window, Blake couldn’t help but whisper under his breath.
Catherine had a complicated look in her eyes. She knew that Charlotte hated Blake but she didn’t know that they had a history before joining the academy.
She got up from her seat and approached her man.
Resting her hand on his shoulder, she softly muttered, “I won’t lie to you and say that it was a mistake. You stole someone’s passion and tricked them.”
Blake nodded; he knew he had done something evil. Although it wasn’t actually him, the blame was now on him nevertheless.
Turning him toward her she said, “However, what matters is the fact that you have changed, Blake. You aren’t your previous self who didn’t care about others’ feelings and only remained focused on your own gains. I have seen how you have changed, and now I can proudly say that you are a great man, Blake.”
He didn’t know why, but it felt like a massive weight was lifted off his chest when the woman he loved accepted him. He was nervous, truth be told, to tell her about it, however, now he was relieved that he shared his burden with her.
Encircling his arms around her slender waist he whispered, “You know I love you, right?”
“Not nearly enough times.” She teased
“Then I will tell you now,” Softly planting his forehead against hers, he voiced, “I love you, Catherine…beyond any limits…” Softly kissing her lips, savoring the sweetness they carried, he added, “I can no longer imagine a life without you…”
“Same here,” She pecked the corner of his lips and smilingly added, “Call me obsessed, but without you, even a day seems like an eternity now, Blake.”
Blake chuckled, his voice sounding like calming bells in her ear, as she heard him saying, “Then I must be obsessed as well. But since we are obsessed with each other, it shouldn’t be bad, right?”
She was kissed by him again, her feet stretching as the Saintess was pulled on her toes. She had to swallow back her words, as Blake picked her up in his arms and carried the woman to the bed,
“I don’t think we can join others for dinner,” Blake said, his voice sounding a bit too sexy for the Saintess to remain calm. She felt her body turning hot and her heart racing at the movement of his adam’s apple. His strong arms gripped her body closely, allowing her to feel his strong muscles and elevated heart rate.
“I wonder if I can even join them for breakfast…” Catherine spoke with a mischievous smile, as she caressed his cheek softly.
Blake laid the lady on the bed before muttering, “Well, let’s see about that.”

At the dining table, Carlson and Charlotte were having dinner. Veronica was with the children and working on her report.
Charlotte was still in a daze, considering she never thought she would become Carlson’s lover so abruptly. And not only that, they even crossed the final boundary!!
Carlson noticed her flushed cheeks, which urged him to ask, “Are you feeling cold?”
Charlotte looked back at him before telling him, “I am thinking…about us. It’s so sudden that I feel that I am in a dream.”
Carlson chuckled, “Well, it’s true that it was too sudden. And no one else but you confessed like that was something…ou!”
“Don’t remind me of that!” Charlotte kicked his leg under the table as she complained
Carlson shook his head while rubbing his poor leg, “What’s the point in getting embarrassed? That moment is already engraved in my mind, and it is going to stay there until I die.”
Charlotte grumbled, “Can you not mention it anymore?”
Seeing the pout and her watery eyes, Carlson sealed his lips. Okay, she can be dangerous even without a dagger.
“Well, Charlotte, can I ask you something?”
The brunette raised her brows, “Yes?”
Carlson hesitated a bit; considering the sweet atmosphere around the two, he didn’t want to ruin it with some serious talk. However, he deemed it would be better if he asked her in this early stage of their relationship
“The danger I must face…the war I must stop…you are aware of it, no?”
Charlotte nodded, albeit a little slowly since she already knew where this conversation was going.
“You know I cannot back off from my duties or this very existence would peris-”
“Regardless, Carl, I am not going to break up with you nor ever regret my decision to love you. In the first place, I know that nothing will happen to you, so stop worrying about the future.”
It was baffling for Carlson how confident Charlotte seemed when she said that. She trusts him more than he could ever trust himself.
“And what if, against all expectations, I die?”
Charlotte’s answer was quick and without hesitation, “Then I will hold you in your grave and walk into the afterlife with your hand in mine.”
