- Chapter 61: Sister is a Radical
The day after the dinner together with Norn-nee-san.
I was led by Nee-san and set foot in the forest near the royal capital.
“Hmm, leaving the royal capital like this is the first time since the dragon subjugation.”
While crunching through the weeds underfoot, I took a deep breath of the fresh air of nature.
Norn-nee-san, who was watching this, gave me yet another head pat of the day—I’d lost count of how many.
“Fufu, even though you’re an academy student, Luka could go out and train every day if you wanted. If the academy says anything, please tell me.”
“What are you planning to do?”
“I’ll just have a little chat with them. Yes.”
“It’s unusual for Nee-san to use words.”
“It’s the academy where Luka is enrolled. I must maintain some composure too.”
“Really?”
“…Killing them won’t solve the problem. If the top changes, it’ll take time to persuade them again. That would be inefficient, wouldn’t it?”
“Finally got an answer that sounds like Nee-san.”
In other words, rather than killing troublesome faculty or the academy director, keeping them alive and threatening them would make them my ally for a long time to come—that was her thinking.
It was insidious, but since it was actually efficient, I couldn’t say anything.
“Praising me won’t get you anything.”
I wasn’t praising her, but whatever.
“More importantly, are you enjoying academy life, Luka? You seem to be frolicking with some worthless fema… ahem. Female dogs.”
“Was there any point in rephrasing that?”
You were about to say pigs first, weren’t you? Dogs aren’t much different either.
Norn-nee-san had always hated members of the opposite sex who approached me. This applied even to her own sisters—she would direct killing intent just from my younger sisters talking to me.
Once, it nearly escalated to a serious life-or-death battle with the second daughter, but the head of the family, who happened to be nearby, lectured them not to destroy the house, and the deadly fight was barely avoided.
I didn’t know what happened after that, but thanks to Nee-san, I was spared unnecessary conversations.
However, that emotion, which could be called possessiveness, continued to plague my daily life even now. Apparently, to Nee-san, Cornelia and the others were nothing but vermin.
“But, well… yeah, it’s fun. There are stimulations that only existed outside before.”
“Those dogs provide that?”
“Nee-san, you’re too rigid. You have to use anything you can use.”
“My my my! As expected of Luka. Using even a princess for your own purposes! That’s what I expect from the next head of the Salvatore ducal family!”
Nee-san’s petting speed increased. My hair was messed up as it was ruffled.
I didn’t particularly care about hairstyles, but it was annoying to have hair flickering in my vision. Also, if this continued, I might go bald. Even though I said I only pursued strength, I didn’t want to be bald.
“I was actually thinking of killing those female dogs, but if it contributes to Luka’s growth, I’ll specially let them live—”
Rustle.
In the middle of Norn-nee-san’s words, there was a sound from a nearby thicket.
Both Norn-nee-san and I, who had noticed the presence before the sound occurred, simultaneously stopped walking.
“…I was thinking of overlooking one, but what a fool to voluntarily jump into a place of death… good grief.”
Norn-nee-san smoothly removed her hand from my head.
In our line of sight stood a green monster about two meters tall—an orc. The cutlass-like weapon gripped in its right hand glittered as it reflected the sunlight streaming through the gaps in the trees.
Its blood-red eyes were filled with killing intent. It was really fired up.
“Since we have the chance, I’ll be its opponent here. I’ll capture it without killing it.”
“Capture it?”
I had expected Norn-nee-san to kill it instantly.
“Yes. This time our purpose is to exterminate the orc pack. Let’s capture one and call out the other individuals nearby.”
“How?”
“Of course, by tormenting it. This is a good opportunity for Luka too, so please watch. The Salvatore ducal family is also skilled in torture.”
I see. Make the orc scream to deliberately call its companions.
I had heard of the torture techniques passed down in the Salvatore ducal family. However, torture was something done by underlings. Having pursued only simple strength, I didn’t know the details.
Certainly, learning Nee-san’s torture techniques would be more meaningful than just standing and watching.
Convinced, I gazed at Nee-san’s back as she walked forward. Even though gruesome acts were about to be performed, my heart remained completely calm.

It took just 10 minutes.
First, Nee-san approached the orc. She blew away the attacking orc’s arm with her bare hands, then blew away the legs of the orc that was bleeding and on its knees.
The orc, now unable to move, was trampled by Nee-san without dying due to its high regenerative ability. Then, the torture began.
The orc let out screams that conveyed its anger so intensely you could feel it. Hearing that voice echoing through the forest, it took ten minutes for the companions who must have been nearby to come rushing. It was incredibly fast.
I didn’t have time to properly learn torture techniques, but instead a large number of orcs appeared. I’d have to settle for that, so I drew my sword from the sheath hanging at my waist.
Norn-nee-san told me with a smile, “I’ll give them to you.”
In response, I clearly said “Thank you” aloud and then—kicked off the ground.
