The S-Class Beautiful Sisters at My New School Somehow Got Super Attached to Me and Ended Up Becoming Yandere Without Me Even Realizing It - Chapter 53-54
Chapter 53
❤︎
“Sigh… what the heck is he even doing right now, Tendou-kun?”
“Mizuki, you’re starting to sound like some drunk customer at the bar.”
“Hey, I came all the way here for you, so quit complaining.”
Today, Yuzuki and Tendou-kun are out on their date.
Even though I already knew it was happening, I still felt all restless and couldn’t focus on anything. I was just zoning out alone in the clubroom when Ayaha showed up.
She invited me to hang out since it’d been a while, so now I’m at the bar her dad owns.
“If you hate it that much, you should’ve just never let Yuzuki go on the date with him.”
“If we’re talking about that, Ayaha, you’re in the exact same boat. But this is a necessary step for him to grow. Guys need all kinds of experiences to become better men. That’s why I’m gritting my teeth and putting up with it, got it?”
“That’s so dramatic. But honestly… does Yuzuki even like Tendou-kun like that?”
Ayaha’s question made me roll the glass with cola around in my hand while letting out a long sigh.
“Sigh… I dunno about that one.”
“What kinda answer is that? If Yuzuki isn’t even into him that way, then she’s not gonna become our rival or anything.”
“I’d love to say don’t lump me in with you, but whatever. Love’s scary because you never know when or where or how it’s gonna flip.”
“You mean Yuzuki might suddenly start liking him for real?”
“You could end up the same way, Ayaha. That’s why giving her any chance at all is a huge risk. When you really like someone, you can’t just let them do whatever—they need to be tied down and stuck with you 24/7.”
“Whoa, total yandere vibes.”
“Yeah, I’m fine being a yandere. If you really love someone, you don’t give them even a second to look at anybody else.”
“Then why’d you let her go on a date with him at all if experience is such a big deal?”
“Exactly. But I owe her one too, so this is a special one-time thing only. And Ayaha, just so you know—you’re in the same category. There won’t be a second time.”
I chugged the cola, and from behind the counter her dad stepped out and said, “That’s some serious drinking.”
“Uncle, another one please.”
“Coming right up. So, Mizuki-chan… I only caught bits and pieces, but what exactly makes your little sister such a threat? You seem way closer to him, and if anything, I’d say Ayaha here looks like the more fitting rival.”
“You’re such a doting dad, surprisingly. But just because people are similar doesn’t mean everything about it is good.”
“Sometimes opposites attract, or people with different values pull each other in.”
“Exactly. Not bad for a bartender. Me and Tendou-kun are super alike. We’ve got similar stuff and similar abilities. On the other hand, Yuzuki has a ton of things I don’t. That’s what scares me, I guess.”
I muttered it quietly, and Ayaha let out a big sigh too.
“What’s with you now, Ayaha?”
“I mean… even someone as famously mean as you is this head-over-heels. Tendou-kun really must be something else.”
“When exactly did I get famous for being mean? I’d love to know.”
“Uh, like just the day before yesterday? You grabbed Sudo-senpai on the field and went off on him, right? You know what people are calling you two lately? ‘The Cursed Twin Towers.’”
“That’s way too scary.”
“But even that curse gets broken by Tendou-kun… yeah, he’s definitely a prince.”
Ayaha looked all dreamy saying that, while her dad—who was full-on parent-mode—went, “In the end, Ayaha’s the one who’s gonna win his heart,” and I just kinda stared at both of them, half-exasperated.
I checked my phone, but there was nothing from him.
I’d sent a “where are you?” a little while ago, but it didn’t even show as read.
Maybe Yuzuki took his phone away or something.
That girl’s probably just as serious about this as I thought.
But seriously… what the heck are they doing right now?

Chapter 54
♤
“Phew… even I’m wiped out now.”
After that, Yuzuki-san ended up playing two more games anyway, and now she was totally slumped in one of the waiting area chairs.
“Good work. Here, juice.”
“Huh? For me?”
“Yeah, you taught me a ton of stuff. But man, you really came super close so many times.”
“Close doesn’t cut it, though.”
She took a big gulp of cola, then stared off at the distant target and let out a kinda self-mocking laugh.
“I’m always like this… choking right when it matters most. Back in elementary softball, we were one pitch away from winning the whole thing and got walked off. In middle school sports day, I was the anchor in the relay and couldn’t catch up at the very end.”
“But getting that close at all is something most people can’t even do. That just shows how good you are, Yuzuki-san.”
“…You’re the first person who’s ever said it like that to me.”
She hid her embarrassed face by taking another sip of juice.
Then she stood up and stretched her arms way up high.
“Mmm… but I feel so refreshed now. Hey, Tendou-kun, did you have fun?”
“Yeah, like a ton of fun. I wanna come back here again—and bowling too.”
“Really? Then we should make it regular… oh wait, you’re super busy with Mizuki stuff, right.”
“Yeah, that’s true, but I was thinking this kinda break feels really nice. So honestly, I’m the one who wants to do it regularly.”
“Oh. Okay then, I’ll hang out with you. You’ve gotten better at bowling, but you’ve still got a long way to go.”
“You’re just too good, Yuzuki-san.”
“Ahaha, I’ve got years on you. Until you can finally beat me, it’s practice time only.”
“Haha, that’s harsh.”
While we were chatting like that, I grabbed my phone to check the time.
“Oh, Mizuki-san messaged me.”
“What’d she say?”
“Where are you.”
“Ugh, that girl, seriously. Well, we’re both outta cash and energy anyway. Should I tell Mizuki we’re heading home now?”
“Yeah. Oh yeah, I wonder how the novel’s doing.”
“Novel? Something happen with it?”
“Actually, I started posting it online yesterday. Just curious how the numbers look.”
“Whoa, already up? How’s it going?”
“Um… oh, it’s got a hundred PV already.”
“PV?”
“Page views, I think. Means a hundred reads.”
“Eh—seriously? That’s awesome! As expected from you, Tendou-kun.”
“Nah, it’s all thanks to Mizuki-san’s editing. And you too, Yuzuki-san.”
“Me? I didn’t do anything.”
“No, come on. You’re always handling the teacher stuff and all the annoying little things I dump on you. Because of that, I can actually focus on writing. So yeah, this is definitely a three-person project.”
Even if one of us was missing, we wouldn’t have gotten this far.
Yuzuki-san always acted kinda reserved, like she wasn’t really part of the creative side, but that wasn’t true at all.
When I said that, her face actually turned red for once.
“…That’s exactly the kinda thing you do, seriously.”
“Huh? Did I say something weird?”
“Nope. Come on, we’re all sweaty—let’s head home. Tomorrow’s finally a day off, so it’d suck to catch a cold now.”
When we stepped out of the batting center, it was already completely dark outside.
The night breeze felt super nice on our overheated bodies from all the moving around, and we walked home cooling off together.
After I walked Yuzuki-san close to her house and started heading to mine,
my phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Tendou-kun, good work today.”
“Mizuki-san, what’s up? I just dropped Yuzuki-san off.”
“Yeah, she got home a minute ago. So… how was the date with her?”
“Really fun, like a lot. I don’t usually do sports or anything, so thanks to Yuzuki-san I got a bunch of good experiences.”
“Good. Then I’m glad. Did you check on the novel?”
“Oh yeah, I just looked. Crazy, right? A hundred PV.”
“That’s nowhere near enough.”
“Huh? It’s bad?”
“Yeah. Numbers like that are basically a pebble on the side of the road. The real good ones get tens of thousands—no, hundreds of thousands of PV all the time. That’s the level we’re aiming for.”
“Ahaha, of course Mizuki-san’s aiming high. Yeah, I’m not super confident I can hit that, but we’ve gotta shoot higher anyway.”
“Exactly. Oh, and Tendou-kun—you might’ve forgotten, but tomorrow’s Saturday.”
“Yeah, I know?”
“Is it okay if I come over tomorrow to learn cooking from your grandma?”
“Oh crap, I totally forgot.”
“See? You can’t forget promises with people.”
“Sorry, sorry. But Grandma should be home tomorrow, and I already told her about it before, so it should be fine.”
“Okay then. I’ll message you about the time later.”
Pretty much right as Mizuki-san hung up, I reached my front door.
“…Today was really fun, huh.”
Thinking back on everything while I flipped on the dark entrance light.
