The S-Class Beautiful Sisters at My New School Somehow Got Super Attached to Me and Ended Up Becoming Yandere Without Me Even Realizing It - Chapter 12-13
Chapter 12:
“Phew, looks way cleaner now.”
After school, I kept cleaning by myself in silence for a while.
Finally got all the basic tidying done.
The bookshelves and desks were sparkling like new—no mistakes—and I even rearranged the books in author order the way I like.
Feeling satisfied but kinda wiped out, I was just about to head home quick when—
“Wow, it’s super clean in here!”
Yuzuki-san showed up.
“Ah, hey. Yeah, finally wrapped it up.”
“Sorry, I meant to help, but Sensei called me over.”
“Nah nah, I just started doing it on my own anyway.”
“…Still feels kinda bad though.”
“Huh? No no, don’t worry about it at all.”
“That’s not what I mean. Um… this is a little hard to say.”
Yuzuki-san actually hesitated, which was pretty rare for her.
“Something up?”
“…The reason Sensei called me earlier was about this room.”
“And?”
“The reading club doesn’t really have any activity records, right? Apparently someone brought up in the staff meeting whether it’s okay to keep giving a school room to a club like that.”
“Wait, this place is getting taken away?”
“N-not decided yet or anything. But if we wanna keep using it, we gotta come up with some visible activity or whatever.”
Seeing her make that serious face, I got a little curious.
“But you guys barely used this room anyway, right? So it wouldn’t really bother you if—”
“Fewer excuses to meet up…”
“Huh? Meet up?”
“Ah, n-nothing! I mean, uh, I actually use it sometimes during lunch breaks and stuff. It’s really convenient, y’know? So yeah, I’d be kinda bummed if it disappeared.”
“Ohhh, yeah, that makes sense. Hmm… but reading club activities are just… reading books, right?”
Asking us to turn that into something concrete—like what, make high schoolers turn in book reports? …Wait, hold on.
There actually is something, but…
Ugh, no way I can suggest that.
“You think of anything?”
“Uh, nah, not really.”
“Right? The teachers are being so sudden about this. Anyway, it’s not like we’re definitely getting kicked out, so we can just keep using it normally till they say something.”
“Y-yeah, good point. So… wanna read something?”
“Mmm…”
Yuzuki-san scrunched her face a little.
“Wait, do you actually hate reading?”
“Not hate it exactly… I just don’t read books much.”
“Oh… okay.”
“Do you like reading a lot, Tendou-kun?”
“Kinda, yeah. Mostly trendy stuff and light novels though.”
“Hmm. Sounds like you’d get along with Mizuki…”
“Huh? What’d you say?”
“N-nothing! Anyway, got any recommendations that even I could read easily?”
“Hmm, lemme see…”
I’d just finished sorting the books, so I already knew what was on the shelves here.
There was actually one copy of the book I’d recommended to Nakanishi the other day when he said reading was tough for him.
“Uh, how about this one?”
“Oh, I’ve seen the anime! It’s really funny, right?”
“Yeah. The original’s a novel, light rom-com, no complicated world-building or anything. This author’s writing style is pretty easy to get through too.”
“Wow, you know a ton.”
“W-well… I’ve always sucked at sports and stuff, so I mostly just read books or listened to music growing up.”
“…We really are alike.”
“Huh?”
“Nothing. Anyway, since you recommended it, I’ll give this one a try.”
She took the book, plopped down in a chair, and started reading.
After she got quietly sucked into it, I grabbed some random book for myself too.
I dragged a chair a little ways away and started reading.
♡
“…This is actually kinda good.”
I mumbled it so quietly it barely counted as a voice.
I snuck a quick glance at Tendou-kun, but he didn’t seem to hear me at all.
The book he suggested went down super easy, and since I already knew the story from the anime, it sank in without stressing me out.
Seriously, he and Mizuki would probably click so hard.
She’s a total bookworm—talks about wanting to be a writer someday and everything.
…Maybe someone like Mizuki would be way better for him than me.
They’ve already swapped contacts and everything, way before me.
She’s better at studying too, and even the whole “bad at sports” thing… wait, why am I getting all negative like this!
This isn’t even my vibe!
“…Haa.”
I let out a little sigh and flipped to the next page.
Right then it was the scene where the heroine starts noticing the main guy and can’t help following him with her eyes.
I’m not doing that or anything.
But.
More than what’s in the book…
I kept wondering what kinda food Tendou-kun likes, what his hobbies really are.
If it came down to me or Mizuki, which one would he pick?
Dumb stuff like that kept running through my head.
And without even meaning to, my eyes kept drifting over to him.

Chapter 13
“That book was actually pretty good, huh.”
After we kept reading for a bit longer, right when it was starting to get dark outside, Mizuki sent me a LINE saying “Ready to head home soon?”
I left Tendou-kun in the clubroom first, then met up with Mizuki who was waiting outside.
“So, did you have fun?”
On the way home, Mizuki asked with this sly little grin.
“Hey, why didn’t you come to the clubroom today? You said you’d show up later.”
“Mmm… I figured you’d probably enjoy being alone with Tendou-kun more.”
“I already told you it’s not like that!”
“Really? I think a guy like Tendou-kun would be pretty okay, though.”
“Are you actually serious right now?”
“Who knows~ But yeah, I do wanna get closer to him.”
Mizuki was looking at me with this bold, almost challenging smile.
“…Since when are you that kinda character, Mizuki?”
“How was I before? Maybe because we keep switching places and stuff, we don’t really have strong identities.”
“Yeah… I kinda get that. Sometimes you do stuff that’s so you, y’know.”
Being around him makes me feel weirdly sensitive and stuff… probably because of Mizuki’s influence.
Yeah, that’s gotta be it.
“Anyway, they might take away the clubroom.”
“Huh? What? Like, disbanding us?”
“Not exactly, but they’re saying we need some kind of visible activity record.”
“Asking a reading club for that is kinda ridiculous. And the teacher’s the one who told us to hold off on activities anyway ‘cause too many guys might show up and cause problems.”
“Right? Adults are so random. Well, tomorrow’s break starts anyway, so we can think about it slowly.”
“Yeah… but I’ve got plans tomorrow.”
“…No way… you’re not going out with Tendou-kun, are you?”
“Wow, twins really do know each other, huh.”
“For real? Wait, hold up—that’s not fair! You can’t just sneak ahead like that!”
“What do you mean ‘sneak ahead’? You said you’re not interested, right?”
“…Hmph. Do whatever you want.”
After we got home together, I didn’t talk to Mizuki anymore that day.
Even during dinner and after her bath, she seemed in a really good mood, and it kept making me feel all irritated and unsettled.
Nighttime.
Back in my room, I opened LINE.
“…What should I even send…”
I kept staring at the one super short message Tendou-kun sent when we exchanged contacts.
Just a plain ‘Nice to meet you, looking forward to it.’
So dry.
At least throw in an emoji or something.
“I can’t just ask ‘Where are you going with Mizuki tomorrow…’ right? Ugh, what am I even doing…”
I kept typing messages and deleting them while staring at my phone.
At some point I started thinking maybe I should just give up for today and try again tomorrow, but then that bold smirk Mizuki had on the way home popped back into my head.
“…Kinda pisses me off that I’m the only one stressing this much.”
So I just went for it.
Finally sent him a message.
‘So you’re going out with Mizuki tomorrow? Where to?’
It got read almost right away, and then—
‘I don’t even know where we’re going yet…’
He sent back something that sounded kinda troubled.
“Pfft, what’s with that.”
I’d totally assumed Mizuki had everything planned out with him, but finding out she just invited him one-sidedly made this weight lift off my chest a little.
‘That girl’s super laid-back like that. Make sure you actually ask her properly.’
Feeling a bit more relaxed now, I sent that, and then he replied,
‘Got it, thanks. Also, how was the book you read today?’
He asked.
I hurried and typed back.
‘It was super fun. Tell me another one after I finish this.’
‘Glad to hear it. I’ve got another one by the same author I can recommend, so I’ll bring it up again on Monday.’
The back-and-forth made my whole body feel kinda warm.
I just wanted Monday to come already.
Maybe over the weekend I could bump into him somewhere too.
While thinking stuff like that, I hesitated on my reply again.
“Asking ‘Wanna go shopping with me too…’ would be too much, right…”
I typed and deleted a bunch more times.
Before I knew it, sleepiness hit me hard.
I ended up falling asleep just like that and woke up on Saturday morning.
