The S-Class Beautiful Sisters at My New School Somehow Got Super Attached to Me and Ended Up Becoming Yandere Without Me Even Realizing It - 5
Chapter 5
❤︎
“Hmm… so it really was just Yuzuki overthinking it, huh?”
I got to the back gate first and called Yuzuki, who had already headed home.
“Yeah, probably something like that.”
“Well, I’ll poke around a bit more with him anyway, but don’t get your hopes up too high, okay?”
Right after I hung up, I spotted Tendou-kun coming over.
“Sorry for making you wait.”
“Nah, not at all. Shall we head out?”
We left school together and started walking toward the station.
Once we got a little ways away from school, I asked him something.
“Hey, Tendou-kun, how come you transferred here?”
“Ah, nothing that dramatic. My parents had to go overseas for work, so I’m staying with my grandparents now.”
“So you’re living with your grandpa and grandma? Did you do any clubs at your old school?”
“Nope. I’m not really good at sports or anything.”
“Hmm. So what do you do on days off?”
“Uh… read books, play games, that kinda stuff maybe. My old school was cool with part-time jobs, so I was thinking about getting one here too.”
“Huh.”
I tried asking a few more things, but nothing really stood out as weird.
And yet…
Why did I feel so weird and unsettled?
While I was kinda digging for the reason, I noticed something.
He wasn’t asking me anything back at all.
Every guy I’d ever dealt with before always went “What do you do on weekends?” “What’s your hobby?” “What’s your favorite food?”—trying to learn stuff about me.
Maybe he’s just not the type who’s super interested in girls.
…I’m kinda bad at asking questions like this, but Yuzuki would probably fire them off no problem.
Guess I’ll just go for it.
“Um, Tendou-kun… do you have a girlfriend or anything?”
“H-huh? N-no, I don’t. Embarrassing to say, but I’ve never had one.”
“But like… you do want one, right?”
“…Well, I mean, I’m a guy after all.”
I asked it while trying to push down my own embarrassment, but Tendou-kun ended up way more flustered than me—his face went all red.
So there are guys like this—super innocent and shy.
His reactions are kinda cute, actually.
…Wait, what am I even thinking!
“Ahem… right, right. Well, hope you meet someone nice then.”
“Yeah. I’ll do my best.”
As soon as he answered all shy like that, he stopped walking.
“Uh, this is my place.”
“Wow, it’s a pretty big house.”
“Where’s your house, Aoyama-san? It’s getting dark, so I can walk you the rest of the way.”
“Nah, it’s okay. Mine’s super close too. Thanks for today though.”
I said that to Tendou-kun, who looked kinda worried, and started walking again.
Then—
“Um…”
He called out to stop me.
“What’s up?”
“…Yuzuki-san, you okay?”
“…Huh?”
“Ah, no, sorry—that was a weird question. I just… I dunno, the vibe feels different from when we talked this morning.”
“Vibe?”
“Y-yeah. Like… you’re kinda forcing it a bit right now? You feel almost like a different person from this morning. S-sorry, I don’t mean it in a bad way. I was just worried maybe I made you uncomfortable or something.”
“Different person…”
I stared at him while he looked all confused, and the words got stuck in my throat.
Yeah… I really am a different person.
I’m not actually Yuzuki.
I’m Aoyama Mizuki.
But…
“…You’re a weird guy. I’m me, that’s all.”
I left him with that and walked away.
There was some guilt about tricking him, sure.
But I don’t think that’s what this unsettled feeling is.
Still, I couldn’t figure out what it actually was.
Before I knew it, I was standing in front of home.
