Perhaps as an apology, he had tried to make a flower crown for her.

And then, he had even placed it on her head as a gift.

Flora’s heart fluttered.

It was a simple, childlike reaction.

But at that moment, she truly felt happy about his gift.

Marius suddenly rolled over in his sleep.

His head ended up resting near Flora’s lap.

For some reason, she gently lifted his head and placed it on her lap—giving him a lap pillow.

The moment she did, his expression softened.

But because of that, Marius slowly opened his eyes.

No, it felt like it had leaped.
