Episode 39: The Tolerant Sisters
It was right after parting ways with Hime, I found myself leaning against the hallway wall, talking with Sei-san.
The topic, of course, was my alleged lolicon tendencies.
“Actually, Hime—”
I explained everything succinctly—the whole situation as a misunderstanding of Hime. I hadn’t been able to firmly deny it because I didn’t want to hurt Hime’s feelings. The rumors had spiraled out of control thanks to Hisamori-san from the newspaper club.
After hearing me out, Sei-san let out a long sigh.
However, it didn’t feel negative.
“Ah… I see.”
It was more like a breath of relief.
She didn’t seem exasperated or disappointed. That alone made me feel relieved.
Good. It seemed like Sei-san was willing to understand.
“Hime-chan can be surprisingly stubborn… Once she gets an idea in her head, she doesn’t easily let it go.”
Apparently, Sei-san knew about this notorious side of Hime as well.
“As she’s a smart girl, even adults rarely correct her. Maybe that’s the reason? Once she believes in something, she never doubts it.”
“…I thought so.”
“But, since she’s smart enough, and doesn’t misunderstand things often, moreover she’s never been a troublemaker. The most she’s ever done was something like insisting that there was a bug in her futon. Even when it was found out to be just some dirt/lint… yet she didn’t accept, eventually, she made me sleep with her. It was only up till that point after all.”
…Oya.
From the way she is talking, it didn’t sound like she completely believes me either.
Sei-san trusts Hime, too. Maybe that’s why she wants to listen to both sides and try to think it out objectively.
“I get that this might have been exaggerated… but Hime-chan isn’t the kind of girl to imagine things out of the world. Also she’s not the type to cause trouble, either. So, maybe you do have a little bit of that preference deep down?”
“In other words… you’re doubting me?”
That kind of stung a little.
Even though I would never look at Hime like that.
It’s not because she’s a young girl that I find her cute.
Since Hime is who she is—that I find her charming and wonderful.
Hime might think I like her because of some weird lolicon fetish on my side, but that’s absolutely not the case.
It bothered me that even Sei-san didn’t understand that either… though just as I was about to get annoyed—
“So you mean to say, ‘where there’s smoke, there’s got to be fire as well’…?”
“Eh? What fire? We’re not talking about a fire, are we?”
When I used a proverb, Sei-san just tilted her head in confusion.
Ah… un.
I had forgotten, she wasn’t exactly the scholarly type.
“…Nope, never mind. Forget it.”
But somehow, because of this, her misunderstanding made me feel less irritated.
My tension eased, or should I say the frustration was fading away.
That’s right—Sei-san wasn’t exactly trying to attack me.
Even now, she wasn’t rejecting me.
“Mm-hmm, I get it. Hime-chan is really so cute, so it’s only natural that your self-control and reason would be tested.”
Wait… hold on. Isn’t Sei san in fact trying to cuddle up to me? Arre, somehow, the flow of this conversation is kind of weird?
“But, since Yohei’s a good boy. I’m sure you can resist. I’ll help you as well, okay? Let’s work together to overcome your lolicon urges~!”
…See? I knew it!
Sei-san had ultimately decided that I did have lolicon tendencies—just to a lesser degree than the rumors suggested.
And thus, even after knowing that, instead of rejecting me, she accepted me, and even offered to help me ‘recover’ from it.
It was just the same with Hime as well… the Hoshimiya sisters were way too tolerant of lolicons—!
